Totally unexpected interview with lancer
B-B-B-Bonus interview!

Lancer, as I understand it, you're going to be making a few brief appearances this season. Care to elaborate?

I'm planning on maybe making 1 or 2 rounds if my schedule allows for it. But don't worry, I'll still be around for the banter.
You've had a long and illustrious career in ToCA. Any particular highlights that you want to share?
I think the entire ToCA8 season is the highlight of my career. I was the only one who ran the Peugeot that season, and I nearly won a race in the rain at Monza early on, unfortunately, I got rolo-trolled, but I managed to get my (and Peugeot's) first win at my home race in Indianapolis with some help from @chrisjohnson93. I also was able to take the independent's championship battle to the final round, but lost it after some issues.
Do you think that you might ever return full time in ToCA?
I highly doubt I will as a driver unless Furi keeps the series going for a few more years. Now, as a team, East Coast Motorsports will be running full-time starting with ToCA13. We already have two drivers confirmed, and I think they'll be a force to be reckoned with.
What lead you away from ToCA, and made you pursue other interests?
Firstly, I start college soon, so that's led to my hiatus from GT6 racing. I had quit ToCA a bit early because I felt racing pretty much exclusively in it had had a negative effect on my racing ability.
And finally, what are your predictions for this season?
Well, I think the return of suspension and drivetrain bits will help drivers adjust to the cars betters, but at the same time I think it's been a bit over-hyped. It'll be interesting to see how everything works out. I think it'll be the usual suspects at the top though.

Also, @Furinkazen is a lamp.

I'm still waiting to be plonked in the Interview Chair and interrogated for answers on how the Renault understeers wildly off, back to France every time I try to take a corner :P

Did a quick test with my 3 preferred cars round 2 completely different tracks (now 3).

Brands Hatch Indy

Nissan: 46.935: easiest car to drive and has a bit more in it.
Hyundai: 46.891: harder to drive than Nissan.
Volvo: 47.175: took alot longer to achieve & hardest to drive.

Monza 80's

Volvo: 1:49.4: pretty straightforward, probably some more left.
Hyundai: 1:50.156: took a while to achieve.
Nissan: 1:50.191: had a bit more in it and took the longest to achieve.

Nissan seemed lowest in the first sector at Monza(31.1)

Hyundai: 30.9

Volvo: 30.7

In the middle sector the Hyundai gained a little bit (0.1) of time back and the Nissan gained 0.1 on the Hyundai. The last sector both lost about 0.5 to the Volvo.

Cape Ring South

Volvo: 1:17.3: with another 0.2 in the bag.
Nissan: 1:18.0: again the car feels good but the lap time doesn't show it.
Hyundai: 1:17.6: Nothing special to mention.

Silverstone National

Volvo: 58.2: seemed to struggle a little bit here.
Hyundai: 57.973: felt fantastic.
Nissan: 57.877: pretty good and more stable than the other cars.

Basically... The Volvo is very fast in the tracks you've tested (other than Brands Hatch)... I see this Season being concluded already :P

They're fast in a straight line, so they'll be really tough to pass cleanly even if another car is faster ;)

What I'm hinting at is that you'll get to see why we complained about the Renaults and sometimes resorted to questionable passes last season.

The Renault really was never quickest in a straight line, at the end of straights there were cars quicker - it was the acceleration which was its strongest point. If anything you should have been complaining about the Alfa.

From my testing Volvo has all of the strengths the Renault has, but without any of the weaknesses (understeer), and is quicker at the end of a straight. Logical.

Alfa only came to life at the end of the season. Not to mention the Renault starts...

I'd also like to add that the Volvo starts just as well as the Renault pretty much after what I saw in the test we did the other day. To be brutally honest, I think this Season will be Volvo vs. Renault. But still, if HSR can secure someone who is like @Spurgy 777 - then you guys stand no chance at all ;)

We'll see about that :P
Our only concerns in the Volvo camp are @Andil and @Ninners.
Other than that, there's no issue ;)

Volvo seems to have great grip. Of course if testers reccomend any BoP adjustments pre season they will be carried out. Honda is actually best through speed traps.
