Had good fun yesterday, was a bit clumsy in some of my overtakes where I haven't raced for a while, so sorry to anyone I hit into.
Race 1 I got a good start, managed to hold onto 2nd without losing out to the Hyundais, and then had a run on Mole coming out of Eau Rouge but decided to sit behind because he's obviously fighting in the championship. Also meant that I could hold everyone else up for the first lap or two to help Furi try and make a few places up. After about 2 laps though Skeng got into 3rd and seemed to be struggling, which kept the field bunched up and meant I didn't need to hold them up anymore, so I left them. At this point Mole was about 4-5 seconds up the road, so I just brought the car home in 2nd.
Race 2 I had a horrible start because for some reason I was preparing for the lights countdown, instead of the 3,2,1 countdown and lost a couple of seconds by the time I noticed
Then had trouble getting through the field after being knocked about a bit on the first lap by Snow
By the time I finally did get through (on about lap 5) Mole was already about 5-6 seconds up the road, so again there was no point in trying to catch him, and I just brought in home in 2nd.
Final race I had a good start, managed to stay ahead of Mole and on the run down to Eau Rouge was pretty much past Yera. But going into Eau Rouge, I turned in expecting Yera to back out (his front bumper was in line with my rear, so there was no way he could stay alongside through Eau Rouge) but he didn't, which meant I ended up turning left in the middle if Eau Rouge
Just about managed to keep the car going though and then caught back up to the field, which Mole had already started working his way through. Managed to get through a bit quicker than he could though, so by lap 5/6 I was right behind him with only Orama infront. Tried for about a lap to get past but couldn't quite find a way through, and then I made a small mistake (I think in Pouhon) which dropped me back about a second. Mole then started battling again with Orama which meant I caught them again by bus stop where Mole went up the inside of Orama, which sent him a little wide trying to hold onto the place. That meant he also went wide into the 2nd part of bus stop, and I could cut back underneath him. That gave me a lap (or two) to pass Mole, but despite being all over the back of him, and a little faster on worn tyres, just couldn't find a way past, almost had him at bus stop on the last lap, but he just managed to stay ahead.
