Go for the Lexus Nin.

Personally the cars are close and I don't quite know which I prefer.
Haha Furi already decided that but personally if I had the choice it would be too close to call.Obviously you someone already told you you prefer the Volvo...![]()
Boost threshold. From what I've driven the S60. I found it to have very awful turbo lag... And if you get out of the Turbo Power Band then god help you![]()
Yeah but your one was pretty crap. From what I've driven the S60. I found it to have very awful turbo lag... And if you get out of the Turbo Power Band then god help you![]()
If it's got more power im thinking worse.Has anyone so much as stared at the Lexus yet? If so, what's it like?
Its the least powerful of all the cars...If it's got more power im thinking worse.
I have generic base tunes for FWD and RWD that I apply for all my cars. This is to get a rough indication of where each car stands. Once we decide on a definite car, then I will start work on a more sophisticated set-up.And of course, come on - who (especially of you who have cars) have really tried with tuning yet?

Wow Furi, way to plug.My RWD base tune is simply the ITCC BMW tune.
Did a test with my 3 preferred cars on the tracks we're using this season, on nearly all tracks I did the same amount of laps. At Brands & Cape Ring the Volvo has done more laps. The Nissan got an extra 2 laps at Nurb & Silverstone thanks to errors.
Brands Hatch Indy
Nissan: 46.935: Easiest car to drive and has a bit more in it.
Hyundai: 46.891: Harder to drive than Nissan.
Volvo: 47.175: Took a lot longer to achieve & hardest to drive.
Monza 80's
Volvo: 1:49.4: Pretty straightforward, probably some more left.
Hyundai: 1:50.156: Took a while to achieve.
Nissan: 1:50.191: Had a bit more in it and took the longest to achieve.
Nissan seemed lowest in the first sector at Monza(31.1)
Hyundai: 30.9
Volvo: 30.7
In the middle sector the Hyundai gained a little bit (0.1) of time back and the Nissan gained 0.1 on the Hyundai. The last sector both lost about 0.5 to the Volvo.
Cape Ring South
Volvo: 1:17.3: With another 0.2 in the bag.
Nissan: 1:18.0: Again the car feels good but the lap time doesn't show it.
Hyundai: 1:17.6: Nothing special to mention.
Silverstone National
Volvo: 58.2: Seemed to struggle a little bit here.
Hyundai: 57.973: Felt fantastic.
Nissan: 57.877: Pretty good and more stable than the other cars.
Red Bull Ring Short
Nissan: 53.304: Has a tenth left, nothing special to say but mind exit kerb on final corner.
Hyundai: 53.197: Much better on the kerbs, be a bit careful on power.
Volvo: 53.047: Wheel spin can put the car on the astro on the corner exits so be mindful of that as you'll lose time with that.
Nurburgring/D
Nissan: 1:32.4: A bit more in that.
Hyundai: 1:32.4: Fractions faster than the Nissan.
Volvo: 1:32.7: Didn't feel anything special.
Brands Hatch GP
Hyundai: 1:29.5: Felt pretty good overall.
Nissan: 1:29.7: Felt great on the first half of the lap, wasn't so good in the second half.
Volvo: 1:30.3: That was terrible.
Spa Francorchamps
Volvo: 2:28.8: Nothing too special, losing out in the middle sector.
Nissan: 2:28.1: Great handling, slower than the Hyundai and the Volvo in sectors 1 & 3 but dominates them in the middle part of the lap.
Hyundai: 2:28.4: Felt reasonable, lost out a little bit in the first sector when I red lined just before the end of the straight, probably another 0.1 or 0.2 but not on the same level the Nissan is. Also good through the bus stop.
Combined Times in seconds (probably unrepresentative)
Taking into account time that I think is still left in the car *not 100% accurate*
Nissan: 675.657
Hyundai: 675.367
Volvo: 676.022
Combined Times in seconds (probably unrepresentative)
Not taken into account
Nissan: 676.507
Hyundai: 676.117
Volvo: 676.922
- So overall these cars are separated by less than a second which is quite good.
Conclusions
Personally the cars are close and I don't quite know which I prefer.
- The Volvo doesn't seem to be as OP as people think. Have to push a bit harder than the other cars to get a time out of it on the twisty circuits.
- The Nissan is very easy to drive but seems to struggle slightly in the high speed corners.
- The Hyundai seems to have good top speed and isn't bad round the corners either but I still feel more comfortable driving the Nissan.
I though I was going crazyHas anyone noticed yet, that the top speed is not affected by the rear wing setting? Like, at all…?!?

Too much DF at the back causes understeer, so its still a factor.Guess that means max DF settings all around to maximize grip then...

but then you can stiffen the rear to induce oversteer and if its a FF then you may as well because the rears barely wear

I'll be missing the test![]()
