I'd love to now know which driver this was, and get some proof of it.
It was me. Very difficult to pass some cars round here. Nissans are "easy" but the rest are not. You need a tow to do it, and if the other guy has a tow then you can't pass.

I'm sure it was the same for everyone (unless you drove a Nissan then sucks to be you).

Edit: Remember how you gave me a little tap into Parabolica after I got alongside you after a tow? Or is getting alongside OP now?

The Volvos had the slight edge on top end. Everyone was stuck in the draft trains, bar the Nissans.

Err. Cars are faster but were not in tonight (Honda?)

Discussing from our Pms testing pre season with @FordMKIVJ5 @paulmac2k9 @Spurgy 777

Volvo prior to cut to 360hp.

Volvo top speed at the end of the pit straight at Monza '80s for me was 163mph. In the Nissan it was 158mph. That's not too out of the way, I think the main place it gains time is in the chicanes.

Obviously the RWD Nissan can't launch over the kerbs like the Volvo without suffering brown trouser moments.

it's was 5mph up on the Hyundai with slightly too short gears.

I'll need to test it though, haven't got around to it yet.
Thing is the Honda has very good top end speed no?
Pretty sure it (Honda) is the fastest in the field (top speed wise).
Nins pointing out how RWD are over half a second quicker at BH GP.
And over half a second slower at Monza.
Well if it's not fastest anymore even in the straights to be fair which was about one of the only strengths it had :P. (volvo)

Volvo has 365 furi. But the Mazda has about 2mph on the Volvo and the Renault is tiny bit slower but I don't really know about the Honda since I haven't driven it and nobody has raced it.

Personally I think that the Nissan at 345BHP is around 5BHP down on what it should be as everything else just drives past it in a straight line while the cornering edge it had has been negated with the introduction of suspension and LSD tuning as this allows the drivers of other cars to tune their cars to be able to go around corners as fast as the RWD. But this is my opinion and may not be shared across the grid

To @hsv, the contact with @snowgt was in the middle of the Parabolica. The first picture basically shows my POV where I just see you. It was your decision to nearly stop that caused the track to be blocked. The second picture was the result of that. Instead of one guy being mad at you, now you got 5.

And I am coming around the corner seeing spinning mini map arrows and the standings ticker going crazy thinking "THE HELL IS GOING ON?"

Ryan left me a PM saying he will be back in 2/3 years when he is "mature" (his quote not mine).

Aha, that one... Been told since then I should have punted Skeng off for being an idiot ...
I thought it was a different driver. And it was really nice getting swarmed by FFs and then getting punted off. Like you guys couldn't have taken me on the next straight.

Cleanest round for me so far , i guess its just learning how to avoid incidents ( its kind of a sixth sense ) , actually its just luck :)

Was so close to a win which would of been like damon hill winning in the arrows

Race 1 was the best I could hope for in Monza. Didn't think I would be close to a podium.

In Race 2 I made a stupid mistake trying to overtake Furi into Ascari instead of waiting for the next straight. Should have been something like 5th instead of 10th.

Race 3 would have been a good chance to be on the podium again, but in the first chicane Marmite hit the wall, so I try to stay clear to the left, but found no grip there and had to mow the lawn. Lost 7 positions. Then I encounter DK in the middle of Ascari going slow, so instead of accelerating full throttle out of there, I have to brake and get eaten alive on the run-up to Parabolica (-3 positions). Of course, shortly after that the Parabolica-incident happened. (-7 positions) There was so much more in that race.

Came away with a PB of 49.7, which is a whopping 1.4s off the Volvos. Sector-wise I lost something like 0.7-0.1-0.6. From what I saw, the corner-speeds were practically the same, but if you lose something like 0.3 on every straight, it's a bit hard to compete. I know it's a case of best drivers in the best car, and it might be hard to gauge how much of the gap is actually car-related, but about 0.8s at Cape Ring and 1.5s at Monza (average in the race) is a bit worrying. That tells me that even on the tracks where other cars should have an advantage, the Volvo will be at least just as fast.

Given what happened at that Hungarian GP, you succeeded in emulating him... :P

Volvo is a merc w05 in toca trim.

I think after everyones moaning the organizers will make a change next season .

The monza gap is the largest we have seen so far .
