Not a good weekend for me. Apart from the race win (second of the season) it was below my expectations.
Race 1: Intense battle with @LancerEvo7, really disappointed I lost that fight. Really tight as there were contacts here and there but that's racing I guess.
Race 2: Probably my worst league race done on GT Sport as of now. Pushed @LewisR3 wide on Lesmo 2, then took out @LancerEvo7 on the straight and dropped to second to last. From then I started the recovering game until I got stuck behind @PSN offapple and @LewisR3. Multiple incidents with Lewis, including a take-out on Ascari, made me lose lots of time, but I guess it was a decent recovery after overtaking @Foxed on the last lap.
Race 3: Another win that no one could guess, I'm pretty sure. Start was excellent and I was just behind the lead before the first chicane, and after @PSN offapple commited suicide in-game by going in the gravel, I took the lead. Kept it until the start of the last lap when Lancer caught up and challenged. I was somehow able to defend (even with some taps) and take the chequered flag.

Hit from behind by a Peugeot into first chicane, lag amplified though. Somehow survived. Second chicane was my fault, totally panicked and messed my braking point. Then went off after contact from @Roflwaffle yet somehow survived and came back through to 7th IIRC.

Just to clarify the 'take out' wasn't revenge. I just misjudged the breaking point in the slipstream .
Could of quite easily drove on after the lap one incident but slowed down and let you passed.

Best was 13th (I think). Couldn't get into any rhythm after driving a vastly different R8 LMS for 44 laps beforehand, and had lost all markers. My hands were completely shot by the end of race 1 which didn't help.
Looking forward, Interlagos is one of my stronger tracks in Gr.1/3 cars. Hopefully things will improve

~@CrazyJohn & @LancerEvo7 got together quite heavily on Lap #1. Mercifully only took themselves out, had to check the incident (despite it not being reported I was curious) and no action - just a simple misjudgement from John that at at higher speeds than normal and a very narrow track had bigger consequences than normal.

~@Yeratel84 and @Spurgy 777 Lap #4, second chicane. Simple misjudgement from Yera sent Surgy off, GTS then decided to reset the #77 for bants. Yera did wait up and due to it being more of a driving error than anything dirty, no action.
@Yeratel84 and @Roflwaffle Lap #6, first chicane. Yera moves slightly under brakes, Rofl does clip him and drive it in quite deep, in my view a 50/50, no action.
@LancerEvo7 and @CrazyJohn Lap #10 second chicane. Corner cut with no attempt to reduce pace from John. +1sec Penalty to John. Old finishing order (01-02): JOH-LAN. Revised: LAN-JOH.

"Only took themselves out", I know for a fact that me and @Roflwaffle were taken out by that because I got engine damage running into a slow @CrazyJohn and was then fired into Ascari where I hit Rofl.
I agree no action though, just pointing out your poor observational skills.

So half way through the season of ToCA14 and I guess I might do something a bit different, a mid season review. Part 1 of 4 covers 19th downwards. Also I will be uploading these pics on GTS to my profile.
Firstly a word of entries that have not shown up yet. @GTPorsche with his aero-paint livery Scirocco may still appear before season-end. @RACECAR was scheduled to show at Monza but couldn't last minute and may still appear for a round near season end. @Matty is scheduled to run at least once in a RPH/GMR run Audi when work schedule allows.
24th @RealJaySee (TEAM DIAC) 0pts
The striking retro-livery Renault briefly appeared at Dragon Trail before accident damage led to mechanical dramas that curtailed their day. I am assured this team will be back and aiming to put solid points on the board in the remaining half of the season!
22nd= @HighStakes (HIGHSTAKES) 3pts
A challenging season opener for this striking black and gold Renault resulted in three finishes, albeit lapped. No word on if this entry will be seen again this season.
22nd= @Katiegan (TRS VW SILVERLINE) 3pts
A solo appearance for Katie so far, with her first touring car race at Maggiore proving to be a baptism of fire. The car was not present as Monza as planned, but should return for Interlagos with continued support of FURI AUTOSPORTS.
21st @damonc84 (STARSCREAM ENTERPRISES) 9pts
One half of STARSCREAM ENTERPRISES, it's been a troublesome start for the de-facto Renault works team. An underwhelming showing at Brands followed by Damon appearing by himself at Maggiore has resulted in just 9 points, however I have been told by Damon more races are planned.

After a previous season in factory-run Citroen equipment, Audiman's return to ToCA is a part time affair due to schedule clashes with other events. The distinctive-liveried car ran quietly and respectably at Brands Hatch, and may re-appear in the final stages of ToCA14.

The only VW Scirocco on the grid without input from FAS, Espial appeared at Dragon Trail and had a mixed debut, incidents severely affecting his results. However I am told the team will be back for the remainder of the season!

Part 2 of 4 of the mid season review covers 18th all way up to 13th. These drivers are knocking on the door of confirmed Q positions.
18th - @Miguelinho (STARSCREAM ENTERPRISES) 23pts
Miguel aka "Mikey" put some determined drives in to secure points at Brands Hatch. However, financial issues may mean that we won't see the SSE team boss on track again this season, a real shame especially given the Renault's recent BoP break.
16th= - @Gedi69 (LONELY TOAD RACING) 25pts
After a long sabbatical, ex V8 Challenge racer Gedi has found ToCA rather difficult to settle back into for his first campaign in 11 seasons. Results haven't come there way, and it's hard to see how that will change for the underfunded (see lack of sponsorship) team.
16th= - @Panoz (DARKHORSE SPORTS) 25pts
ToCA veteran and former Independents Champion, Panoz is reduced to part-time player due to work commitments. A maiden appearance at Monza yielded a decent score that showed potential. The car may appear for at least one more event this season.
15th - @Andil (ECM-K) 40pts
Multiple race winner and proven front runner, the 4th ECM-backed Audi is a force to be reckoned with when the budget is there to be run, with @Andil doing more test commitments than racing. The ECM-K car is scheduled to be out on track and re-liveried for Interlagos this weekend.
14th - @LewisR3 (KR RACING) 42pts
A complete racing rookie, Lewis has certainly not disgraced himself in his debut season. The lone privateer Renault will be looking for more of the same and perhaps improvements for the second half of ToCA14.
13th - @RedPartyhat (RPH GENERAL MOTOR RACING LLC/VISA) 50pts
Business magnet RPH has had many problems with his season, as he brings with him a lot of finances, questionable NFL sponsorship and an endorsement of Donald Trump. And that's before we get to the on track lack of pace that has led to the boss of RPH-GMR acting as most definitely the "B" level Audi team in ToCA14. Improvements will be looked at for sure for rest of the season.
