I tried with my own GTO, the Jag and the 300SL and got all of them well into the 41's. I'm not sure how the muscle cars with loads of torque accelerate up the hill - in theory the torque could be an advantage. Maybe I'll also try one of those.
One thing though is, that the variance in the lap times with the same car is quite high. If you try to get a fast lap in, most of the times you end up in the barriers or you lose a lot of time with one mistake. So, my prediction for the race speed is something around 42 flat or even higher.

Time constraints though
Make quali shorter (10 minutes each), at most it'll add 5 minutes to the overall time and will make it much safer for everyone as we will all be pushing (both classes that is) for a good lap

I always set a banker lap early in the session, then I do some race simulation laps (Trying to preserve the tyres), then I change tyres and go for a hot lap on lower fuel.

Here are some sights of WSC's trip to Matterhorn.
The hotel that the drivers and teams are staying at for the race weekend.
A mysterious object is also at the track. Rumors at the track is suggesting that its the future plans of the FRL or @Furinkazen's collection of lamps. Either way he was been acting like a angry old man by running people away from it with a pitchfork.
All joking aside, two ominous vehicle is also on the mountain.
A treaded rollback that will be picking up the mangled and nearly unrecognizable remains of cars after the race and also....
The El Camino RMV for drivers not in their cars at the end of the race because they will be in the back of this.
