Pretty awful night for me tonight, the only positive thing I can think of is the fact I didn't qualify last as I was around 4 seconds off the pace. Kept crashing and the only battle I had in the 2 hours was with Daiba and even that ended in me getting lag 🤬 into the slow hairpin in the village which caused a traffic jam

Really sorry about that! I was following closely and suddenly your car launched into the wall and I rear ended you (I guess that was a second time on your screen). Unfortunate that there happened to be like 3 or 4 people behind us that got stuck.

Lag sucks.

Also sorry jammy for that time you rear ended me. I had slid off the track and just recovered, I was going about 10 mph and saw you coming but there was nothing I could do. :( Accelerating uphill doesn't work too well.

My race was already gone so one more pit stop didn't make any different. I saw you but couldn't void contact.

So could GT40 benefits from it? I have not noticed any different with it or without it. Car is still hard to drive :)
Generally speaking "Improved Body Rigidity" just adds understeer. It only benefits a select few cars.

Possibly. The only way to know is to try both and see.

Easiest way to make the car stable is just add a ton of rear toe in.

Unless you are @snowgt :P

Furi, you had a way of always catching my back at the beginning of the twisty section at the bottom. For a while it felt like you were appearing in my mirrors there every other lap. You would get by me, then apparently crash, pit and try to get by again.

And I just adhered to the rule of letting GT-P's find their own way around the GT-O's. It wasn't like the GT-O's were that much slower down there. ;)

Had a good qualifying to get pole and got away in the lead. But then @jammy21 had an off in the chicane after start/finish and I had to slow down, which @raceorama123432 used to squeeze by. I then followed for a couple of laps until he also had some problems at the same spot and I basically made the same move back on him. I then managed to stretch my lead and lost track a bit on how much I was in front. After about 37(?) minutes, @smuffyatfcp must have had an accident and @Yeratel84 spun at the downhill braking zone right in front of me. I couldn't really avoid him as I was also full on the brakes already. Clipped his front and got some damage. I switched from my intended 1-stop to a 2-stop strategy then, but as my concentration faded I had 2 more minor offs with a little damage and after stopping to repair the second one, suddenly @Roflwaffle was in the lead. Luckily, I managed to pull myself together again and finished the last 50 minutes in one stint without doing anything stupid.

Pole was 41.0, fast lap 40.9 (although I have no recollection of that lap - I certainly don't remember pushing it, so maybe I got a tow from a GT-P). Very content with another maximum points finish.

My apologies to @LancerEvo7 for obstructing you early on. Thought you were going left, so I went right, but you went right, so I was blocking you, allowing @Ninners to get through. Don't like to play a part in fights for the lead.

You really should change that rule to a more conventional multi-class rule in future @Furinkazen.

Passing GT-Os would be a lot more straight forward and less time consuming (for both GT-P and GT-O driver) if GT-Os were to let GT-Ps by in a safe manner. The GT-O driver picks their line and the GT-P driver works around that.

The current rule puts far too much onus on the GT-P driver to make a clean move and means that GT-O drivers are able to hold up the GT-Ps to a large extent unless the GT-O driver is playing nice.

After all, the GT-O drivers are being lapped, and should adhere to blue flag conditions (which is not the case under the current rules).

Just my 2¢ anyway.

It has worked for what, 5 seasons now? Simple fact that it is easier for a GT-P to go around slower cars than have to react to the judgements of a slower GT-O. Doesn't do sportscars IRL any harm either...

Except IRL blue flags are utilised- the slower driver is to hold his/her line to allow the faster car to pass. That's all I'm suggesting should happen, that the rule needs expanding a bit.

The GT-P driver should have the responsibility to make a clean pass but the GT-O driver should hold their line.

Thats what the rules are - slower cars hold there racing lane. GT-P pass through. Problem us had was simply no room for an overtake for the whole final half a lap.

I think it does work and people usually don't make it extra hard on the GT-P field. Matterhorn was something like the worst case scenario for any overtaking, because there's hardly any straights in the second part of the track, so even the GT-P's cannot use their power to get past easily and GT-O's would lose a lot of time waiting for each GT-P to go by.

I think, as long as everyone's behaviour is consistent towards all cars, it evens out anyway.

I'm available for Sunday. Just hope connection issues are sorted before then otherwise I'm just wasting time.

I was under the impression from a previous series (can't find which one the rule is clarified in) that the rule put the onus on the prototype.

If the rule is that the GT-P driver has the responsibility to execute a clean pass and that the GT-O driver is to maintain their line and be predictable then that's fine.

👍 :)

Really should have said "put too much onus on the PT and not enough on the GT". Otherwise that post just looks like I contradicted my self massively.

This is what I'm eluding to:

GT picks a line, prototype works around it. But the GT driver should make some concessions to allow the faster car to pass, not just blindly keep following his/her racing line. 👍
