Daytona was one of my best race in this series. Now that it was dry race I got better chance to keep car on the track. Spun couple of time and miss some brake points but luckily didn't got damaged anytime.
Was some fun racing with Furi half of the race :)

Yeah, we had same last season - Really can see the differences in car performance in certain areas.

oh and MEGA props to EVERYONE in GT-O for a stunning Qualifying session.

Next up is Bathurst... :sly:

...need to get more out of the car as I was 3.5 off pole in quali and only managed 2 laps under the 2 minute barrier. Was running 4th in class at half distance due to me 2 stopping and the others were only 1 stopping...

Here might be one reason

...(By the way - concerning sparks: Chris's Jag was apparently set up very low, because he was leaving a trail of sparks flying as he went through the banked turns each time. Quite spectacular!)...

Everyone but me you mean due to me being way of the pace

Here might be one reason

Actually it's true. When I was behind you between bus-stop and start/finish, I had the feeling you didn't pull away as much as the Jag should have been able to. Might have had something to do with the car bottoming out on the banked turns. What speed were you getting at the end of the straight at start/finish? Should have been something like 270kph or 167/168mph.

BoP Update:

GT-P
Jaguar XJ13 -20hp to 500hp. @DrifterJoe @Pluxtheduck

GT-O
Jaguar E Type +6hp to 345hp. @chrisjohnson93

Uhm, that's not going to work like that. The E-Type doesn't use the PL currently.

By the way, the E-Type doesn't need a boost. I just did a 1:57.3 in it at Daytona in my first flying lap.

@chrisjohnson93 : I just looked at the replay. You're probably losing a lot of time by not revving high enough in 2nd, 3rd and 4th. You're shifting at the red line when the ideal point is about 500rpm higher. I did the same in testing for last season and let me tell you, it makes a big difference. You might gain as much as 1-1.5s with that. If you want, I'll send you my testing setup.

Ok I must be missing something on mine.

I'll be there Sunday, not sure how competitive i'll be even with the BoP adjustment but i'll test the car and give feedback on what my lap times are

Ill be there for Mount Panorama! Another podium is possible, and maybe a win if the GTO's slip up as I'll never beat them on sheer pace.

GT-P drivers keep your distance and be patient in the mountain section. Knowing PD lag I'll get taken out, again. 3/3 races I've done this season I've got damage through no fault of my own....

Just done a 30 min session at bathurst and very pleased with results :)

I have a feeling i'm closer to the front :)

Found Furi's secret weapon in his car hauler.

@snowgt I'm using one of the tunes in the set-up post that you did, and I'm using auto gears because i've always done as i'm not that good at shifting gears

Ooook. Then the Jag is a really bad pick as your car. You need a car that can be revved to the red line, not over, not under. Otherwise you'll never be competitive.

In WSC, that would probably be the Mustang, maybe also the 507, if I recall correctly.

That, or you need to learn to shift manually.

There is no BoP adjustment, because the car is fast enough and its current spec doesn't use the PL, so you can't just give it a power boost anyway.
