Some numpty flicked one of the leccy switches in my accommodation block, was hoping to put in some 1:34's after my pitstop to try and claw back some of the lost ground. I was half way round the loop when my room went dark and the screen went black. The Cuda is good on tyres for about 5/6 laps, but as soon as my left front dropped to 8 my laptimes dropped off by around a second, losing 4/5 mph through every corner. Hoping to get it all sorted, using the races that I can attend as live test sessions in the build up for le mans. Out of curiosity, how much fuel did other GTO's need to take during the race? This was definitely a cobra/ferrari track, hoping the tracks with longer straights play into the hands of the Vette's and the plymouth.

Still closest yet, just 1.4 in Q between the field and that included 3 Vettes. BoP good but there's always going to be grumbles regardless.

Also Alpine didn't need fuel

My tires were down to like 4/5 by the end. I doubt it was because of my driving.
I apologise for our incident at Paddock by the way, thought you'd have seen me passing the Alpine behind coming in.

My race could have gone better, but it could have been far worse! Starting 7th (my first complete laps of the track were in qualifying) I held my position in the early stages. Then Ettick made a mistake out of Druids and spun moving me up to 6th. Shortly after Roflwaffle had an off and sustained damage and Carbonox DC'd. I was then 4th and comfortable with the car. I was slowly gaining on Gokartman until he made a mistake and I passed him into 3rd. I then made my pit stop and only put 20L of fuel in instead of the required 40L. This however brought me closer to Snow. Snow then made a mistake and I caught right up to him and had a good battle over the course of 3-4 laps until he got sideways and I made unavoidable contact with the rear of his car. This meant that I was in 2nd. But I was also short fuelled. I kept running fast laps until the tyres began to go off so I pitted for that extra 20L of fuel. This dropped me to 5th with Snow right on my tail. I then continued to set fast laps until eventually I caught up to the train of 3 GT-O cars and passed them all to move me back onto the podium. If I would have put the right amount of fuel in in the first place there's a chance I could have won the race (with smuffy pitting late game). However I'm happy with 3rd.

I also sorted out my braking issue from Le Mans

So on the agenda during off-week for review (nothing out the ordinary, I will do this on each off week).

~Tables (done, need uploading).
~GT-P BoP Review
~GT-O BoP Review
~Schedule change (almost 99% sure that Willow and the Off Week that follows will be swapped)

Personally I think the GT-O BoP is fine at the moment. The only issue I've seen is that the Plymouth uses its tyres more than the other cars so GKM had to pit earlier than the others

So does the Cobra. I was only quick at the end because I had 20 lap newer tyres. In fairness I do think the Corvette is worse on them

The problem with the Corvette is its weight. At over 1400Kg its quite a lump to throw around. Snow has done a good job of getting all the cars to run together but in an endurance series it goes further than that and the cars have to be even in other ways and that is tyre ware.

Keep in mind that I wasn't using improve body rigidity because I don't like how it makes cars without downforce handle, so maybe that was part of the cause of my tire wear.

Any idea when we'll see this?

I would have had OP update today but my schedule has got very complicated and as a result a calendar change I was going to make for Willow / off-week may not be needed. In the mean time have this guys :)

I'm probably going to sit out this weekend. I don't want to spend 20 mins crawling back to the pits.

Going to be a busy post this one.

BoP REVIEW:
BoP reviews are planned for and carried out on each off week during the season. I have a generally hands-off role leaving majority of roles to original spec testers @LancerEvo7 (GT-P) and @snowgt (GT-O). I have merely been handed the specs across after discussion and approval

GT-P:
I was informed after the first race at Le Mans that BoP would need adjusting, whilst appreciating Le Mans 2005 bizarre traits on the calendar the expected performance of cars did not work out. The following changes have been made to try and balance the cars relative speed with tyre wear - so cars with worse tyre wear are slightly better over a lap, as a compensation. As a result following changes have been made - drivers please adjust your specs:

FERRARI 330 P4: -40hp (From 460hp to 420hp) @Andil @jammy21
FORD MK IV: -10hp (From 510hp to 500hp) @Panoz @LancerEvo7
JAGUAR XJ13: No Change @Yeratel84 @chrisjohnson93

GT-O:
No change. Complaints I have received have been about cars being hard to drive end of the stint. With all due respect to those concerned, that's your car and set up. Everyone has tyre wear, everyone has cars dropping off end of the stint. Even if someone does the quite frankly ludicrous task of doing full race simulations in every car, they're set up might not be best for that car and there are so many variations in driving style. I did ask about Corvette and Plymouth weight and power respectively, but got answered that the Corvette would be OP, and Plymouth not enough data and seemed reasonably competitive from what data we have this season.

CALENDAR:
No change. I was supposed to be away 17-19th June which would have prompted a switch with the Willow Springs round and a scheduled off week but that's been cancelled last 72 hours, which is what held me up carrying out this update. So all as planned, onwards to the N24 and US leg of the WSC. More N24 notes below.

SPECIAL RULES - NEXT ROUND:
Due to timing limitations the N24 will not have a qualification session, but rather be set on championship points. GT-P will be first, GT-O will be second. Championship Tables are here:

Race has a formation half-lap of the GP circuit with green flag on the GP backstraight, before the chicane.

In another special N24 rule, if you receive damage before the start of the N24 layout, you are permitted to go back around the circuit the wrong way to reach the pits and repair your car... it is safer ultimately than a slow car doing 50mph around the Nurb and less frustrating for the driver.

Also this is a changeable weather event, Racing Rain tyres are permitted, Intermediates are NOT.
