Particles around the shell - Electrons if I recall from my electronics class on Monday, to do with how reactive it is?
2881 is the number of electrons in each shell. And the number 19 is the number of protons (which is also the same number of electrons). 39.0983 is the atomic mass which is the mass of all the protons, neutrons and electrons added together, (19 protons, 20 neutrons and 19 electrons). Reactivity is due to the number of free /missing electrons in the outer shell.
