Funny/Strange News Stories

"Christian", "white", "males", "high incomes", when the quotes only mention "religious" in defining a demographic. Never mind the fact that religious people sticking their noses where it doesn't belong could be non-Christian, not white, not male, and not high income earners. Our resident monkey is on one wobbly soap box.

Note - I don't expect a response from pm as it is my understanding that I am set to ignore.

All valid points.

Or they would be, if it weren't for the fact that Morrison is a conservative white Christian male with a high income despite it not be explicitly referenced in the article. That's the problem with rushing to judgement and the reason why people ignore you.

Meanwhile, in the actual funny news stories category, a Liberal candidate has gone and defaced his own campaign banner to prove a point to the guy who previously defaced it:

I eagerly await LeMansAid's explanation as to why this is not a story about a Liberal, a candidate, a campaign banner or graffiti.

Ooh, you see me. I attempted to invite you to a private conversation recently but was not able, despite others having the option to. I thought, and still think, that you have me on ignore.

You've missed the point. He cites the religious as targets, that's it. Are we meant to believe that after identifying himself as a target, that everything about him is up for the stereotyping (considering his "faux victim" status)? Being a father? Owning a car? Liking roast beef? Other silly stuff?

He says he's copping it due to opposing gay marriage based on religious beliefs - just as I expect a Chinese, Muslim, poor woman with the same view would. Where do you pull the focus on white, Christian, male, and rich from?

@Dotini, it always stuns me that people will put that much time into an internet picture and not bother proof-reading it. Someone needed to go to a few more classes.

It works almost word-for-word in German, I think it's just a crap translation better suited to the Funny Picturings thread.

...Well, he sure took his time with it.

A Florida man sues Apple in the tune of $10 Billion for infringing on his design, circa 1992.

Source: The Guardian.
Next he'll swing for Samsung, Amazon, ASUS, Sony.... list goes on forever but his money tree won't grow.

...Come now, let's be honest, he ain't swinging for a win here - I bet he's angling for an out-of-court settlement. Slap an irritating court paper in the face with ridiculous sum on top and buzz around long enough, Apple might end up giving him something to make him go away quietly.

PalmPilots

...You know, we're too old. :irked: I bet a significant potion of GTP members don't even know what a Palm is... besides being attached to one's hand of course.
