Well there is one more rule we can put in. A delayed start of 20sec so that the punters can race off in the distance and we can just race each other and no one else. I just need someone's help in an hour or 2 to see if such an idea will work. Any volunteers?:)

With your idea, PP can be set to specs to ensure everyone's in the back. Only problem I see is when there are a few non-members sandwiched in between then they'll be plowing through and hopefully not cause spin-outs. I can see it working wherein everyone moves out of the way to let everyone else through and have the guy at pos 1 to set the starting line or set pace till that 20 secs is up.
 
Testing would verify this, but one issue with a delayed start would be the online boost messing with the performance characteristics of the cars.

The other thing to be aware of is people jumping the gun (on purpose or accidentally), though this would likely have less impact on final results than the random start order. I think this would really only be an issue if someone "forgets" about the delayed start and roars off at the start, leaving the rest to wonder if they should wait or just race.

Upon reading some responses this may be the best idea.

Although as vukmeister just said using a car that has lower PP than the specified event would almost work in theory, until you remember that the Showdown would fall so far behind the regular racers using the fast cars that we might not even finish.

Seems it must stay the same for a while.
 
I may have problems getting online tomorrow, so i could be out of it, from the end of this event i'll be becoming a neutral party on this event, only testing cars for the garages if asked to do so.

Yeah, I'd be happier with 3 bad drivers than none at all. 2.5hrs to race time!

Edit: Not that I think any of my drivers are bad. Thanks for the support guys.👍

Edit 2: Wow, less than 2hrs to go and now I'm cracking off my fastest laps ever. Just pulled of a 1'53.677. Pretty good if I do say so myself. I should also point out to 888 that P3nT4gr4m will be racing for me. He couldn't make it last week and wasn't sure of he would this week until yesterday. But he will be racing.:D

One more thing, no one drive up on my left side. For some reason that side of my neck is really stiff and sore, so I can't turn my head that way without pain.:P

Race 2 goes to 888. Perhaps it would have been different if a non-showdown GTP driver hadn't punted me off.:grumpy: I guess anyone in an AWD car at Fuji is not to be trusted.

I don't know if TLD an win, what with NTSC and all.

Yeah that one snapped the head back and put me waaaay out for the race, so i decided to watch the finish.
 
That was a pretty good race, after we got rid of that Audi. Again though, 888 has a really fast driver starting at the front while I for 1 start last.:indiff: And that was a scheit 1st lap.
