Yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss :dopey:

Too bad That Moron throw us out on 1st corner of 2nd lap Timppaq We had a great race đź‘Ť

Thanks guy I just woking up ;)

Thanks 888 for providing Us that very good set up

And thanks to all for this great races :sly:

888... that was a bit dirty overtake.. ? ..from holden...

Please clarify which you meant. 888 had 2 rather forceful overtakes (read: contact and unnecessary) in that race on me. The first time I forgave, but then it happened a second time when I was battling Wayne for the Showdown lead.:irked:

Edit: I call for a hearing on this event.

ok... last lap on the long right.. But I´m no judge.. ...I gave holden my position, but he drove to the pit...

I dont recall any contact at all ?? I thought all the moves were close but fair there was nothing intentional mate.

Ok... I saw a contact, I ws right behind you guys, but could have been the lag..

Should we do a couple more... ?

What is the situation here? the wins? Is this result of the last race meaningful to the outcome?

Yeah well, I had no beef with you. Some idiot in an R8 hit me sending me careening into you on the last corners sending you off track which is why I let/made you beat me.

The first was at the S bend on the first lap, I think you just outbroke yourself. The second was on the long right hander as Timppaq said, and it didn't look as accidental as the first, especially as I was hot on Wayne's heels.

Edit: @ Timppaq, that win made the score 3-1 in 888's favour.

Edit 2: And the weaving on the straights to avoid being slipstreamed off. I've only ever seen punters do that and I'm quite sure it's an illegal move.

Note to self: must practice correct track next time :banghead:

Good racing you guys. Shame about the punters (guy in the black lancer followed me from suzuka)

i'm back in business to race in hour and 50 mins i believe for the 3rd place races.

That is correct, good luck avoiding punters. My advice is something I should have done. Anyone not racing a Viper, punt out of the way yourself.:grumpy:

Thats why the one way blocking rule is implemented in alot of real championships or similar. Drivers can move to block in one direction (talking straight here of course), they can't then move back the opposite way to block again, they MUST let you through or face a penalty.

Stop arguing too much... I haven't seen from my position, intentional punt...

Ok there was contacts, but we all had some. (except myself in 3rd race when I had the luch to start front line and avoid all crashers thanks to that)

I enjoyed racing against you all even if I was really annoyed by those punters too đź‘Ť

Too glad to won 2 races and Finish 2nd in last one behind 888 :sly:

It wasn't really blocking though, it was weaving to avoid my being able to slipstream, which slowed my progress in overtaking. Once I inevitably caught up he let me pass.

ok.. my opinion as the one who saw the last incident from 20meters away, I propose that we do the last race again... I´m sure there was nothing intentional on the bumb, but I saw that the cars hit together and holden spinned. So here how I saw it:

if I recall right, holden was ahead when the accident took place and 888 was behind, right? 888 went in and made a slight contact with holdens right side door. This made holden spunn and he lost about 2sec. at least. In such situation if I notice the contact and see that I gain and the other guy spinns, I will wait the guy and let him get his place back.

I understand thet this is racing (and Frienly racing), and contact do happen so if 888 would have noticed that he made (even if by incident) holden to spinn, In my mynd 888 should have waited. This would have left Wayne to take the cake and then it woud have not felt so unfair towards holden. But now it did feel a bit unfair, as 1. there was 3 of 888 and holden by himself(though not relevant), 2. the place that the overtake happened is not in my mind a good place to try to overtake, even if there´s room 3. contact happened witch lead to helden to spinn, but this was not compensated for him.

What do you think? :) ..hope this helped any...

Yeah that's kind of what I'm thinking, even I waited for you. Even if 888 had waited though, it ruined my chance at beating WayneGTC regardless. To be honest I'm beginning to wonder why I am entering this event. Because of punters and every driver having the worst brought out in them (because they are being competitive of course) it's just bad publicity for my garage.
Maybe when private rooms come it could be a little better, but I'm having trouble accepting the tension it is building between garages. I have no problems with 888, and I know under normal circumstances he is a good clean driver, but this event makes us push that little harder, want victory that little more. I'm not liking it.

I realised last time round after losing due to the NTSC race, that i was taking it to seriously, you all probably noticed my change of heart, although it was still gutting, i'd had some great racing that day, particularly from a personal level as i managed to show i have some sort of talent behind the wheel which i didnt believe i had.

This reminds me of the bump draft move i saw 888 using last time round to, i was overtaking timp fine, but wayne bumped him a bit so he could stay ahead, fortunately i went on to win that race so didn't dwell on it, but that wouldn't happen in a normal race. although i don't think its dirty, it could've made a huge difference. I'm not trying to target 888, but thats the only team i've raced so far, and it's a perfectly fine thing to do, but its a great example of changing attitudes during the showdowns, in comparison to standard racing.

Lighten up dude - 🤬 happens. The fact that the races were so intense kinda ensures that accidents will be more common. It's all good fun - don't take it to heart. For every slip up that happens (god knows I've caused a few myself) there are some diamond moments that make it all worthwhile. :)

*edit* - Like I finally placed ahead of Timppaq - for the first (and prolly only) time in my life. Don't care if the punters did it - I'm carrying this moment of glory to my grave

Wow, looks like it was a really intense battle. I wonder if the battle between me and J-PaP will be that intense. ;)

Being the owner of one of the competing garages gives you a different perspective. It gives ME a bad name when this happens, it makes MY tuning look so-so. Like I said, I have no problems with 888 otherwise, he's a good bloke and decent racer. I just want things to run smoothly, I am a perfectionist if I've never told you that. When things aren't done right I get just a little agitated, and sometimes I couldn't care less.

Errm, no it doesn't. People will appreciate your tuning regardless of the outcomes in the showdowns. Personally, I don't give a hoot if I come up last in this showdown, I entered it purely for fun. And people will still be driving my tunes, I'm convinced of that. It's the tunes that speak for themselves, not the outcome of some showdown. Just my opinion ofcourse. :)

Yeah I noticed but it's not good for your body. Relax and take some deep breaths. It's just a game. And It'd take a damn sight more than losing a competition to make you look bad in this test drivers eyes :sly: Don't be so hard on yourself

At this rate you're gonna have me more to worry about then J-PaP, where are you pappy?!
His MSN says online, but he's not. :P He told me that he might be late from work, but he's doing all he can to get there in time. :) Let's hope he can make it.

Really? After the first Showdown I went from something in the range of 20 reviews a week to 2-3 reviews a week. Just like the GT4 days.

My body aint getting any worse than it already is. I like Holdens.

But is that due to the showdown or just the initial attention running off? Just because people are not responding in your thread doesn't mean they're not driving your tunes. I sometimes get responses or questions via PM from people that do not respond in the thread. That must mean that people are trying my tunes while not responding here in the forums. Don't worry about it. :)

You are right ;)

Don't take it too seriously Holden. I love those intense moment, may I finish 1st or last... I was soooo happy to win those races...

I personally love your tunings and theres nothing like loosing or winning a showdown will make me change my opinion...;)
For this time 888 one on the viper suits me better, but maybe next time, yours will do.
I must admit it is so good to have you guy's tunning those beast for us, don't argue for who has the best set up, it's all in drivers hands and of course depends on the race itself

Thanks to all tuners for giving us this great show đź‘Ťđź‘Ťđź‘Ť

This is more a test of who gets the best drivers and/or most luck, then who has the best tune when it comes down to it though in the end.

Even though i was under the 888 banner for the Swift challenge, i find both you guys have tunes that suit me, i for one don't give a rats arse who wins an online battle, it isn't going to change my opinion on your skills............

It's been a little silly on here tonight reading through this :(
