👍
No no, they are all fine. Just the collectors cars are bugged. They are fitted with sports H tires, which feel like someone has put them in a freezer over-night. They are so annoying to drive with.

Other then that, the collectors edition (PAL) is perfectly fine.
There was a transfer of corrupted data between loading the .02 update, the cars from the collector's edition, and gameplay. The cars loaded on version .01, but were gone when the update was done. They were loaded again, and the game has not been right since. So either the .02 update was corrupt, or the file with the cars was corrupt. We deleted the game, including the progress made, and are re-installing. Hopefully, it works!! :boggled:Re-install completed, with gamesave data intact

Now I feel sort of glad that I haven't played GT5 for a day or so. I haven't had to do the update yet, and if it's corrupting the DLC cars then I wont do it, especially since im going to my dads today and he's the one who bought it. If he found out that the DLC cars became glitched from an update he would go through the roof.

Like I said in my previous comment, maybe PD just jumped the gun a little bit.

Found a bug, did the british lightweight challange and bought the esprit v8 and lighteded it to 1199kg, took it on the topgear track and lapped the whole feild, when i crossed the line it put up i had finished 12th, i re-did the race and made sure i didn't lap them and all was good, hope this glitch doesn't come up again.

DAMMIT! DAMMIT! DAMMIT! The glitch is still there, but so is the gamesave. Does this mean the gamesave, which is not under our control, the problem? It can't be deleted, so how do we go back to a clean version of the game? :yuck:

By the sounds of it Chuka, it's the Update 1.02 which is the problem, because the update would edit the game save so that you wouldn't have any of the previous bugs. I think this is stupid as well.

Tonight I had an audio bug on License S-10 in the McLaren MP4-12C at SSR5. At the start, the car sounded like it hit something, downshifted, and then the test begins. Down the entire front straight, it sounds like something keeps bumping into my car. Anyone else get this?

yup

Well, it seems that the deleting and re-installing of the game worked after all, gamesave and all. 👍 The problem was apparently in the cars from the collectors edition, as they are what was listed in the corrupted data file that got deleted. Now the simpler question is why Jake's file is smaller, even though he has more cars and further progress than I do? :dunce: Also, why do some cars always have the gas meter on, even when there is no input for it?

Chuka, does this mean I have to delete my 25% progress and my 35 gold licenses? :(
Not at all 👍 The gamesave does work, and even deleting the game and then re-installing will not erase that, provided you are using the same account. For example, Jake could have begun a new game using another user account, as a new user, and would have to start at the beginning of the game. The bug encountered on the upload was limited to gameplay only; and was identified, contained, and then deleted through the psn network. There is a strong probability that deleting and re-installing was not even necessary, as simply deleting the corrupted file data through the network would have solved the problem. So we maybe over-reacted and did more than we had to! :dunce:

don't know if this was already covered. During night races car's lights appear off when they are viewed from rear view mirror.

Hello!

I have the Logitech Driving Force GT wheel and I'm experiencing some sort of glitch... basically when I'm driving on a straightaway and if I let go of the steering wheel, it begins to rock slowly from left to right (increasing gradually).

The car won't lose control but the wheel is moving from a 10 o'clock to 2 o'clock left right motion all the time. Makes it very hard to keep the car under control - if you try to counter steer you will lose control of the car. Used my wheel with PC games (and GT5P) and never encountered such a problem. Does anyone know what's going on?

Thanks!

Arcade mode. Race setting. Indy road circuit. Me in a shelby.
Only set to five laps but I decided to pit to see what happens.
They change my tires and put me back down but I have no control. The only button working is the start button/ to pause.

Any ideas.

God im so confused. Should I just wait until 1.03 to play with an internet connection?

Does anybody else come across this issue as i have several times.
Normally when i enter the photo Area and then return to the main menu,
the game will just stay at the main screen without giving me an option too choose anything. This has happened a few times and the way i resolve it is by quitting the game all together.

I don't think its a hardware issue as my PS3 Slim is fairly new

Oh okay. :) Cheers. My brain doesn't function too well early in the morning (It's only 9:36 AM here)

Thanks a bunch. :)

I'm sorry i havent looked through all the pages but has someone mentioned how on the pre-race screen the car is activated in the background, my DFGT wheel moves now and again as ai cars hit me!

The car is stuck on the bite-point on the clutch and to stop you have to hold down circle (handbrake).

Tsukuba online. 16 people in a drift 'free run' fooling about. The track was very buggy/glitchy and we when we actually did a race half the field was placed on the grid spots facing the pit wall

I do not seen a big difference or what this update has fixed (1.02). Also I will play with my friend in arcade mode 2 players battle and the game runs very lag and the cars consume a very much time to load the thumbnail.. is incredible.

Not Possible: Auto-Save Turning Off & Make a Backup of Save Game… GT5 don’t coming with those feature, is very stupid… :S why GT5P have it and the final version goes not, WTF polyphony, and other thing.. the save game you can’t copy for backup, what the hell were they thinking, the people of polyphony… I’m very disappointed with that, I think polyphony should make an update correcting the performance and development of the game and also these problems that I mentioned … I know most of you have seen the same thing and is very disgusting, but I hope they make a patch for fix that soon… :grumpy: :indiff:

You have to understand that fixing Graphics Lagg would take them ages, and it would be a very large patch.

What im hoping will happen is; they declare this copy as a beta, and those who have proof of purchase (receipt, mail order letter, stuff like that) can go and pick up the game for FREE once they bring out the proper version with none of these bugs. Patches are too small, they need to completely re-format a lot of things, fix license test B-5 and the B-Spec mode, as well as some of the 'Special' challenges.

The "upload failed" Gift glitch is making me so angry :(. Just lost an RS200!

Dang! Hopefully these via online updates will fix all, or at least most of these bugs to make the game less frustrating as people are putting it.

Tried to take a photo of the back fire from the exhaust of my 458 Italia...and when I snap the photo the resulting image has no flames.

It's a relief to hear that other are having trouble with 2nd gear. Well its a relief in the sense that I no longer think its just me being crap but annoying that its been a problem since GT5P. My suspicions are that its the hardware rather than the game.

I never had the problem with GT5P, but I definitely notice it in GT5. The behavior changed between the two. I have a G27.

Why allow custom soundtracks during the races and replays but not during the menus?

Through my 5.1 home cinema amp, the music volume is relatively way too low during the races and replays. With all volume values on the default settings, I can barely hear the music. I'm using the hdmi for audio from the ps3 - anyone else have this same issue?
