If the extra characters are stronger you would be at a disadvantage though.

I agree it's not just Capcom though.

There is no such thing as a stronger character. Theory fighter wise, yes but not in iiRC.

I was beating my friend pretty bad last night, but I knew he was out of it about an hour into our session.

Well its not only Capcom, SNK is redoing KOFXIII > KOFXIIIL: Climax. Tekken redid 6 for the console release. If its making the FGC solid again, why not? At least you are not forced to buy the DLC in order to play. ( Halo, Call of Duty, Battlefield). I am a bit weird about the Gem and Pandora mode but I was sold since Evo2k11 ( Same with skullgirls). It looks fun to play.

One problem with your logic and that is SNK is doing KOF XIIIL Climax to get the arcades up to snuff with the consoles, not to release another version for consoles.

I talk to a respectable member of the SNK community about it, and even he said that because the way that the console version is above and beyond the arcade version, and the Japanese rely on arcades, they have to rebuild the console edition for the arcade so that the Japanese can compete with the rest of the world.

yes Sanji you are correct and KOF is freaken awesome I was playing that 3rd Strike (and some COD) this weekend had alot of fun with the fighting games I actually wish they would relase more characters for that game !
