General San Andreas Discussion and Questions

I didn't mean to steer this discussion back to VC---

When I referred back to Phenom Penh 86 it was just they were similar in objective (at least first part before you get out of the heli)--

1. You shoot a machine gun at anoyingly small targets in both.

2. You shoot them before they damage something (heli or transmitters)

3. Both kicked my but for 10 or more goes because the left analog stick is kind of sensitive for manually aiming at something moving, that combined with the small targets made both difficult for me....

I didn't have as much trouble in "end of the line" or the one where you ride on the back of the bike-- they were similar but the targets are biggers so if you aren't hitting the intended target (driver or gunner) you are at least damaging the vehicles they are in....

I just wanted to add that you can damage the transmitters if you hit them with the minigun, I think I was doing more damage then the incomming bombs at times.

and you can kill Zero to... ;)

If you shoot him and hold O down for ages, he just hangs in the air with blood pouring out of him.

His voice is so annoying, how can you not mutilate him?

I like his voice-- in case no one recognized his voice-- it's David Cross--- he's been in lots of movies and stuff (I just saw him in a bit part in Men in Black)-- he plays Tobias on the Fox TV show Arrested Development-- his character is pretty funny (as is the show). He also did a voice in Halo 2

I've bought every "green" icon on the map, and I didn't get any messages or anything saying I had bought everything, do I need to finish Zero's missions to get that message?

It doesn't give you a message when you've bought everything. It doesn't even give you a message when you get 100%.

I agree about the Left Analog Stick. I'm getting very used to it, but I owned Phnom Penh '86 with the D-Pad. I didn't have much trouble with it, but Air Raid....:grumpy:

yes it does, well it did for me anywho
Really? I didn't get any message. I have the Hydra and Rhino in Ganton and I have infinite ammo and it says 100% in my stats, but it didn't acknowledge it with an onscreen message. What kind of message did you get?

I got a message-- something like--
"congratulations 100%-- hydra and Rhino available on grove street, heres some money"

I kept a save right before "new model Army" my last mission for 100% so I can check this if you really want-- I'll take a vid clip if you want.

Has anyone noticed that you don't have to eat as much after 100%??? It seems like I've played for several hours and still have plenty of fat left????

There's no need. Unless I missed something spectacular...

I probably just missed it. Did it come up as soon as you completed the mission for 100%?

Ah well. It's nothing important. I have my 100% and I'm happy. I think I'll just arse around today in San Andreas and do a bit of exploring. I found another unique jump in the middle of nowhere but I died soon after and I reloaded so I'll have to go get it again and it's near a spot where I want to experiment with some rotations so I think I'll get my NRG500 and go off into the countryside.

No. There's been a LOT of speculation on some other forums but having trawled through about 100 pages of faked photos and obvious lies, no-one has found a Yeti or Bigfoot yet. And there's guys who have been involved with modding GTAIII and Vice City who know how to read the code on the discs and they've been through the San Andreas data and haven't found any objects, textures, etc. which have anything to do with Bigfoot.

So I think it's almost certain that there's no Bigfoot or Yeti in the game.

Confusion over the yeti bigfoot vs the monster truck Bigfoot could also be responsible for some of the speculation. Someone sees a screenshot with the monster truck and tells their friend that Bigfoot's in the game, and so on...

I think some of the confusion is also because "Big Foot" is one of the thank you credits in the back of the game booklet. Some people have insisted that this means that Bigfoot the hairy ape guy is in the game. However, I've heard that Rockstar actually consulted the makers of Big Foot the Monster Truck to get the handling right, because it's got 4 wheel steering that they wanted to emulate very accurately.

So I heard anyway.

Oh yeah another thing i wanted to ask =

Whilst working for Woozie in San Fierro i got numerous phone calls from Cesar, i just replied negatively all the time. It said something like "You stole £0 from the courier". Ive completed it now and havent had any of these phone calls, What can i do? Will they come back? What was it?

On certain days of the week, there's a courier who delivers cash from Los Santos to San Fierro and you can chase him down and take his money. On certain other days, he delivers drugs from San Fierro to Los Santos and again you can chase him down and kill him.

Cesar will keep calling you on the days the courier is delivering, but you can ignore those calls. I think they just earn you extra cash. I've got 100% and I never did those missions so they're not needed to either complete the main game storyline or even to get 100%.

Feel free to ignore them if you feel like it.

Whats the deal with the "ghost car" near the two horseshoe type things in badlands i think? does it move or nethin?
It seems that the Ghost Cars are nothing interesting. It turns out that there's similar beat up Glendale cars all over San Andreas. There's on out in Back O' Beyond that spawns near the top of a hill and sometimes when you approach it spawns and rolls down the hill so it looks like a ghost car being driven by no-one. It spooked the hell out of me the first time I saw it.

But it seems to be another wild goose chase. Just a car that spawns on a hill and rolls down. Pity, I'd like some cool stuff to be in the game.

The best rumours I've heard so far are that there's a mysterious phone booth in the desert somewhere that's ringing and that if you walk up to it and answer it, a zombie comes and attacks you and that if you're tuned to the right radio station at the right time near the Big Ear in the desert, that you can hear alien radio transmissions.

But I don't believe any of the rumours anymore.

Hey guys, Ive started Import Export a bit, but where in god sake is the damm board where you see the list? I've look in the showroom. no where to be seen, at the docks, on the boat, nada!

Where is it?

Can someone point to me where to find the fastest bike, the NRG-500 i think it is?
Damn. Windows isn't working for me so I can't load Photoshop and mark your map and upload it so I'll have to describe. Do you see the white ship north of San Fierro airport? The white square just beside it is the dry dock. There's a huge empty dry dock that you can hardly miss. Behind some crates to the left of that dry dock there's an NRG500 that will start off a time trial where you have to pick up checkpoints in a limited time. But you can just take it and drive off with it and ignore the time trial. It's not far from the garage in Doherty so you can store it there.
