Just realised that the Aud R18 TDI, with it's V6 diesel, has the same engine sound as the Audi R10 TDI, with it's V12 diesel, from GT5. They are quite different in reality.
Consider getting a sound bar with a subwoofer! I picked one up a month ago and it has completely trasnformed the sound for... everything. I have the woofer by my couch. The sound is much richer and has a lot of depth now. I can't complain about the exhaust pipes anymore.

Why does the physics look so fake? Everytime he's on the point of adhesion the car suddenly finds grip and pulls the car straight. At 1:37 the car floats.. Somebody please explain why this is.

That's not a V8 sound, it's an inline 6. I remember it well from GT2, e.g. the Unisia Jecs R33 Skyline...

Man the BRZ with Semi-racing exhaust sounds pretty good
Interesting that PD recorded different sounds for the BRZ, Scion FR-S and FT86 even if they use the same engine. Wonder if that translates to the sports/semi-racing and racing exhausts as well
Why is it good with Semi-racing?
I prefer cars with stock exhausts to sound good from the get go, not having to upgrade to poor exhausts really to be frank.
I think some of you are a little bit too emotionally invested in this game. I agree that the sound definitely needs work, but if you're getting depressed over it then I think you need to rethink your priorities in life. The updates will come.
It just does, I think it sounds OK stock, but ncier with the exhaust upgrades. SPorts and race and nice too.
But I like nice combo of throaty and bass the semi-racing ads, and no hint of vaccum, hiss or whine!
Bought the Monaro - stuck a wing to make it look like the 24 hour racer, time for some Bathurst
Sounds a little better than in GT5, top end of the rev range is where it goes bad, same for the 22B - you get that Boxer throb with the exhaust upgrades, but lose it in the upper revs...
The same reason why even low-HP cars in Forza sound like they 500 under the hood. People like it LOUD.Why is it good with Semi-racing?

Priority we do have set in place, we only expressing our concerns of the game as sound is essence of the car.
Watching top gear or any other car program, they always mention how great the car sounds which makes the car.
That is my 2 cents

True but stock sounds should sound as close to the real thing, upgrading the exhausts just means that its not done right first time and needs looking into.
I really need to get off this and start to stop complaining.
The nicest sounding car I own is the Pontiac Trans Ams, sound really bassy and that is what I should expect from all premium cars, to sound really good.
Even in Forza 5, some of the sounds don't even come close to the real thing and I don't know but every car I hear in Forza 5 is a small whine like sound which is so off puting at high revs!
Maybe the stock BRZ sounds like the real car, I dunno, I just said that the Semi-racing sounds good. A bit like how real cars sound better with aftermarket intake and exhaust mods...
I agree it sounds good, but sounds like a straight 6 not a boxer

Same for the Audi RS4, semi race got a very nice V6 noise, but only in the higher revs...midrange isAgreed. But, for example, the 03' VW R32, stock and semi-racing only sound like a real VR6, but you can't get very aggressive with the VR6 in the game with either.
I was exaggerating a bit for the sake of comedy. I guess I should have put a "hahaha" or an "lol" afterwards. Sorry I didn't contribute as you think I should. It's ok to express your concerns. That's what this thread's for. However, when people start going on about how they can't eat because the sounds are awful, that's not expressing concern. That's just being melodramatic and adds nothing to the conversation.
