Goodwood Hill Climb confirmed to feature in Gran Turismo 6! + Videos

I'm assuming there will be a new car included in the demo seeing as there isn't a car we have seen so far which could possibly beat the 41 seconds

When they mention thy had to beat that, which was set in an F1 car, is this a clue that GT6 might have more F1 cars?

Could be the original car used to set the record time ?

Great news!

Never expected goodwood to be in a GT game, it' s a nice surprise, a real historic part of racing that deserves some recognition in a game like GT.

Keep it up PD 👍👍👍

movable bales shouldn't be too much to hope for, it's perfectly possible.

Sorry, I should have clarified... there is "cruising" mentioned in that sentence, I was curious if was a formal game mode or not.

No. When people take part in the Goodwood hill climb event you either get the drivers going for a fast time on the leaderboard but most cars just cruise up the course, showing off the car to the fans.

Hey, nice one Toko. I saw the news item when I logged back in and was really surprised. A nicely kept secret PD 👍

I think they've upped the ante with this and I'm really keen to see what comes out of it, especially as Goodwood is less than an hour away for me, but unfortunately I'll be heading the opposite direction on holiday...oh, the timing!

Cheers again for sharing.

Goodwood Hill Climb isn't a track but a road A to B.

I think this track will be reserved on time trial or another mode

I'm not sure why you're repeating this. It's a track. Goodwood themselves even call it a track.

Only at Goodwood

To stand alongside the Hillclimb route, within feet of some of the fastest, finest and most famous cars and motorcycles as they hurtle up the track in a no-holds barred run is to experience high-octane passion that fuels all we do at Goodwood, and that you will never experience anywhere else in the world.

Once you’ve experienced it yourself you’ll know exactly what we mean, and you'll want to keep coming back for more ...

Ahh. Thanks for the clarification. I suspect this track to become the "hang out" location online.

Imagine if there was a special photomode like that, but I highly doubt it. :P We can pretty much already do that if we take said cars to Goodwood, and take photos of them one by one in free run. :)

Just logged on and saw the news, can't wait. Definitely going to be a favorite of mine. 👍 Also hope they get the circuit in...

Who says a track has to loop round? Anyway it'll be considered a 'location' in GT6 so it's still an irrelevant point.

Zlork: a "track" is a generic term which doesn't necessarily define a looping path. What you're referring about is a "circuit".

No prob. :)👍 I mostly thank the guy who knew about all of this first, so I'll give most of the credit to him. :gtpflag:

Looks like a really short and uninteresting stretch of road - from the video. Not much of a hill, still the more new locations in Gt6 the better.

It looks like a scary track to me. So much room for error. Thin road, grass, a wall inches from you at one point. A fair bit of cars have crashed on the track.

If that Lotus 32B turns out to be a driveable car in the game, I may actually die. It's even got "my" number on it, and the name of the person I use it "for". :D
I'd have preferred a 24 or early 25, though, with the cross-plane V8 FWMV engine instead of the FPF inline four - that would really need PD to get the new sounds working on PS3.

The others are a 49B, a 72 and a 99T, plus, probably, last year's "Lotus" F1 car, whatever that's called. It's obviously far too good to be true!

I'm thinking that if PD will also include Goodwood Circuit, there might be the chance of seeing a BTCC championship in GT6 (since Brands Hatch and Silverstone are already in. PD somehow managed to have NASCAR with only 2 tracks in GT5...).
