Got a copy of GT6, ask questions here

Two questions:

Do you still have to break in premium cars?

Are there any options for gifting or sharing cars? I know that neither will do anything for now, but once the games out I'm hoping to let people borrow my Anniversary cars.

I didn't play GT5, what do you mean break in ???

Does anybody know if the anniversary cars can be painted a different color??? I don't like the blue with the tread mark.

Hi just wondering, would you be able to show us or explain to us on garage view of cars? any customization to it? or just like GT5?

A new car with 0 miles, gains approx. 3-5% overall HP after around 200 miles have been driven.

This is called the "break-in" period.

good to know, thank you. Back in the days, i used to always get an oil change before i drove a car.

I don't know if I'm mad or whatever...
I waited for GT5 for years, played it one or two months and then left it because it was boring. Boring AI offline (never finished career), boring/bad online races.
I don't want the moon (pun intended), I just want to have fun with the game. i don't care about having 1000 cars, 1000 tracks, 🤬 livery editors and bad looking standard cars. I am looking for fun, realism and variety.
I cannot believe GT6 can be worse than GT5 as many people stated... I found the 370z in gt6 academy demo fantastic to drive around the track, and even if I have my retail copy of GT5, I spent many days on that same academy track and it was funny and challenging (I play with a wheel).
I just need that, plus variety. New tracks, Day/night and clouds, etc. are welcome additions as they add variety! If, as i can read, AI is more challenging as you progress in career mode it is good...
I am postive and from my point of view if you enjoy driving you will enjoy the game even with its flaws.
(Sound and framerate are my only worries atm, nothing else can ruin the experience)

This is now the second time I've had to come into this thread and steer things back in the right direction, and seeing as I won't be as polite next time: the very next person to call someone retarded or to insinuate that anything is retarded, call someone a moron or idiot or to insinuate anything else is either will be taking a two-week all expenses paid vacation from GTPlanet.

I remember back in 2010, upon GT5's release, when Amar212 got the game early and offered a Q/A thread. It was good, well organised and mature and I liked it. By comparison, this thread is now a mess-nothing but insults and trying to prove that GT6 is actually GT5.5-that has now turned me off. People are still complaining BEFORE GT6 is released (before the day one patch, of which I'm holding my expectations), just as people were not even 24 hours after its announcement, and I'm sick and tired of listening to this meaningless crap.
Lock this thread if it continues to act like this...

I also agree. Races that went over 2 hours were a bit pointless in my opinion. I think the longest I ever did was one that lasted 2:45.000. And that was in GT4 were you could fast forward when you gave the car to the A.I. I still didn't do the 24h ones. That's just ridiculous.

I understand the realism, but I don't find it fun to spend that amount of time in one race, considering that my average game sessions last no more than 2 hours. Even if you could save at the middle of it, I like doing different things during my gaming hours.

Bottom line, I'm happy with these endurance, but I'm sure PD could've made them a little longer. At least 45 minutes. 24 minutes is what my average Arcade race lasts.

Maybe they can add long endurance races with seasonal events for those who really want them, and the rest of us will be happy that will get that 100% completion.
Indeed. I also like these new endurance races. I mean, one of them reminds me of GRID 1's 24 min of Le Man, if anyone does. But I agree with you, PD could at least make some longer endurance events in seasonal events. :)

Oh yeah, I'm loving the butthurt in this thread. "Ohh, Kaz didn't listen to us". "Ohhh, GT is dead", love these people *eats popcorn*.

Seriously kids... just stop it.

From a endurance racing fan from GT5, it would be uncool if they dumped them from career mode, but it would not change my decision to buy the game, every change has a good intention, although it looks like not...

I'll still get this game endurance races or not, but really this will be my last GT. If I want to play online ill just play iRacing.

I've noticed that most of the threads in GT6 and its subforums have turned into a hate-fest. It might have been a bit too early to make subforums. Looks like it should have been held off until release date. There's more disagreement than answers to what the game contains

I will only complain about the sounds and the Ferrari 365GTB4 having its instruments switched. But the rest I've seen is all what I expected GT6 to be.

I don't get the arguing and pessimism myself, the games not out yet and if anyone has any doubts they should just wait for the reviews. Frankly I'm just glad that GT6 didn't go the route of another popular console racing sim.

And what route was that? You're against quality over quantity?

Or until they play it for 40 hours straight. :sly:

Or that, I'm not even a hardcore GT guy and yet I'll still pop in my old GT2 disc at times for nostalgia, only to end up addicted to a never ending quest to hunt and try out cars that never made it to later GTs, like the Dodge Stratus! :D

I'm just going to say this, this isn't the thread for Forza 5.

seriously? Nobody wants quantity over quality, but as much as we love the franchise, PD continue to astound and make bonehead moves and while we will concede that the premium cars are beautiful quality, and some tracks are gorgeous, the Artificial Intelligence (that's an Oxymoron) has never been quality and the GT5 iteration was purely horrible. Some games have been making decent AI for over a decade. There is no excuse. We would be happy to have half the races if they were full of fantastic challenging AI that made random mistakes, had personality, were fast, aggressive, defensive, and made you work for a victory, you know, like many other franchises have already proven is possible...
