Granted, an apology it ain't... but the point is that they have acknowledged the complaints...

The only advert I remember (through my anger) was that stupid ad for the new Vauxhall Astra, where the guy charges down the side of the mountain just to tell the driver "Nice car mate..." ... I wasn't going to buy one anyway ;)

I don't know where all this talk of cheating and bans has come from. There is no way BAR will get banned for what is basically a mistake. ITV are being a bunch of idiots.

Yeah, that Message from ITV really sounds like they won't do it again, as Solid lifters said it sound's like "Yeah, yeah, we heard you"....

Well, I read that BAR perhaps has integrated a second gas tank in order to make longer turns... that would not be a mistake then.... :nervous:

Max Mosley clearly said, that this would be an automatic ban for the whole season....

German news article > translate via Alta Vista etc

From what I can decipher from the Babelfish translation, it sounds like this...

"Thereupon the FIA commissioners examined the car with an endoscope and discovered a further spirit reservoir. Such a additional tank is not generally forbidden. However, it must be known to the FIA at the start of the season and presented in the technical designs."

If they have purposefully omitted to mention they are using this design, they could be in trouble...

It's enough to make you Barf1.com...

I have been reading up on this at GrandPrix.com. If the second tank is inside the main bladder it doesn't matter. If this is not the case why did the stewards find the car legal at first? There are also rumours that this is to do with the political split from Ferrari. I suppose we'll never know the truth only what Max & Bernie decide we should know.

While I don't like BAR I can't see them getting banned from F1 for this. To me it's the same deal as Williams brake ducts last season. Take the points, fine them and slap their wrist and move on.

Bernie would never kick Honda out of F1....

I'm in the STV region so the ads may be different, but here they are:

Orange
UPS
Total Futsal
Lloyds TSB
Vauxhall Astra
And of course, LG

It was 3 minutes 45 seconds long

To FatAssBR and every1 else too!

Do you guys follow MotoGP?

Did you see Jerez Gran Prix and the amount of passes Rossi and Gibernau did IN THE LAST lap? That is the kind of stuff that you used to see in F1 but since 10 or so years to this date they always take the "don't risk it" choice. I know many people that stopped watching F1 because of this. They are now more interested in: You guessed it, MotoGP
FIA has come up with several rules these 2 years to increase safety but also to encourage more overtaking.

MotoGP will always have much more overtakings than a F1 race. Passing with bikes is easier, and a 5 seconds gap there is like a 2 seconds gap on F1. But yes, early 90´s Formula 1 was more exciting(sp?) than today´s, although this year has been pretty good so far in my opinion.

Since I don´t have cable tv anymore (it always comes down to this...) I can only watch the races that Globo TV (which is the same channel that shows F1 races) broadcasts. And that´s like four, five races per season. I haven´t watched a single MotoGP race this year, and I don´t even know if Alexandre Barros is still racing. Is he?

Slightly.

Yes

You seem to think that F1 cars are easy to pass, they are not. Due to how much they depend on aerodynamics it is hard to get a car closer than .7 of a second, any closer than that and the cars lose too much of their aero to keep the car going around a corner at normal-ish speed.
I know many people that stopped watching F1 because of this.
The Schumacher factor has alot to do with this.

I don't know anyone who has started following MotoGP and stopped wqatching F1, though I know people who used to follow both and now just follow Moto GP.

The new aero rules (specifically raising the front wing) has made it very hard for cars to follow eachother, so the new aero rules have made it more difficult to get close enough to overtake.

Good answers blake.

Also to add :

- A F1 is 2m large, not a Bike, so overtaking is of course more difficult
- in the moto gp field, there are around 7 Hondas (team camel, team repsol, team movistar, team minolta) and 4 Yamaha (team gauloises, team fortuna). If ferrari had equipped 50% of the F1 field in the last 3 years, the competition between the drivers might have been more tough.

About the "shumacher" factor, I'm not so sure :
- Rossi dominates as well in moto gp
- Lots of people want Schumi to be beaten and still watch TV to see that, while others still want him to beat records.
Generally speaking, I think all the sports got their star that dominated a while : Jordan in basketball, woods in Golf, Rossi or Doohan in Moto gp, Green in the 100m, Sampras or Graaf in tennis. Yes, these people could make their sport a little boring sometimes, but how much did they bring to the polularity of their sport ? People like to see records and to have heroes.

About moto GP, I'm so frustrated to not being able to watch it on tv, I agree with others, this sport is very spectacular, the medias should pay more atention to it (like WRC In my opinion).
