I just wish I would've noticed it earlier that the DLC is unlocked using a voucher/PS Store. Wouldn't have bought it otherwise. Ironically I actually asked about this on the PS Blog but didn't check the response, so I can only blame myself.

If someone gets it (mine will arrive on Monday if I'm lucky) would they post here whether the voucher has an expiration date or not please?

DLC is still on the disk, your "voucher" are kb codes ( size of a kb is mega small))
 
So what are the codes for?

Just the N24 GT-R bonus car or for ALL of the DLC included on the disc such as the Racing car packs, Spa etc?

The expiry date for the Academy Edition Challenge is 31/01/2013.
The bonus DLC is 31/12/2015.

The Bonus DLC consists of "Complete Pack. Car Pack 2. Car Pack 3. Course Pack 2. Bonus Nissan GT-4".

I can't say if it's all the previous DLC content because my code does not work.
 
Try the code for the Academy competition. I know it sounds crazy, but I had the same problem you guys are having.

My bonus DLC code does not work,instead my academy edition challenge code gives me all the bonus DLC.
I live in Holland and Holland is not on the list of countries that get the challenge so that may be the cause.

I will try the code on an English account.

Ditto for me with the code, some dimwit deserves a good kicking. I'm in the UK, I think they have just screwed it up for everybody.
 
Okay, I've fully installed and tested.

Things I can confirm for UK version:

1. All updates (Excluding this week's one) are on the disc.

2. The DLC code worked perfectly for me. Taking me straight to a "Download All" link.

3. All the DLC is on the disc (You only have to download the unlocks, which are 100kb)

4. The save file for my previous version of GT5 worked fine with this (Thank god)

5. The GT Academy Code does not work at this time (I expect it will when the event opens).

6. The picture on the inside of the box looks awesome.

Hmm, I totally forgot about Twin Ring Motegi.

Nope, it's not included with this. I don't know why.

(The Scion FR-S is on the disc, but you still need to unlock it from the store. Which is just 100kbs)
 
Might be a daft question but does it load any quicker than the original game? Just thought that maybe with all the updates in one place it might have cut loading times a little.cheers.
 
Can someone help me out here?

I got my copy of the Academy Edition in the post today. Downloaded all the packs off the disc and installed them from within the game. So Ive disconnected from PSN and I cant access any of the DLC anymore that was on the disc. What gives?

Please be patient-Ive never downloaded anything from PSN before.

I cant be online all the time (i rely on a mobile broadband connection because coverage in my area is pretty poor-Im surprised I was able to download everything in the first place).
 
Well Ive tried everything I can think of but I still cannot use the DLC car packs and the Track packs dont appear in my track listing. Im stumped. If anyone has any ideas Id be glad to hear them.

I was thinking of reinstalling the disc but I dont know if thats possible.

I tried using the Academy code but that had expired. (?). Thought the two mightve been linked for whatever reason. Well Im going to get some sleep and deal with this after work tomorrow. :(

the dlc's code is only unlocking things (cars/tracks) that are already in the disc, so you have to play with the academy disc to be able to use them... assuming that putting afterwards the old/simple cd they're not available in the game... is that correct??
What about the competition code?? is it also somehow "connected" to the academy disc?? For examble, if i get academy version, and use the dlc's code, is it gonna be possible to give the competition code to a friend and use it with the "simple" version disc...???
 
Problem solved!

It turns out I have to download a family pack for the Racing Car Pack and the Track Pack. Im now able to enjoy Spa in my MX5 Touring Car. Wonderful.

Although I cant access the Car packs (aventador etc) but Im not fazed about that, just wanted the Racing Car and Track pack mainly. I couldnt find a family pack for the car packs anyway so I dont know what the go is there.

Never mind I've got my Touring Cars, Spa and my carbon X2011 :)

So happy right now!
 
Turns out the family upgrade applies to the cars from the other car packs too. Nice

I think its great that your gifted the DLC cars to the car exchange, wasnt looking forward to grinding away to afford the Jaguar XJ9LM and was pleasantly surprised to find out I dont have to buy it. Never thought I would have a carbon X2011 in my garage either :)

I'm guessing that 1. You have to play with the Academy disc to get the cars and tracks and 2. That you have to play with the Academy disc for the Codes.

I would think they would still be available even with the original copy of the game. The codes only unlock content on the disc but that content is actually the various updates that GT5 has had. So even if you are playing with an old disc so long as you have the latest updates for the game you will still have the content.

Just a guess though.

A friend has bought the academy version, but since it's his first contact with gt5 (although old gt series fanatic...) probably he 'll pass the special event (January) for gt academy version buyers...
He already got all the extra (cars, tracks etc...), and wondering if i can use the other code (event) to participate that "mini gt academy" on Jenuary...

Need help...

Finally i bought academy version, installed all the bonus stuff, everything ok so far.. Also, downloaded and installed the "racing car pack family upgrade", and all the car pack 1 cars (X2011 etc) are also available at my alter account (always at the same ps3 console..) BUT, i can't find the "course pack family upgrade" anywhere at the ps store... where the hell is it?? :grumpy: Without this, Spa and Kart Space are not available on alter accounts...
 
I've got the XL version so this doesn't interest me; just a few more cars with rather ugly stickers on the side. And I got several of them for participating in the academy. I might have to pick up Kaz's GT-R, If I don't already have it lol. I can't even keep track of all those GT-R's.
 
If I completed and golded all the academy challenges how do i get all my cars only have the 1st four given out checked my downloads and gifts and there nothing there.
