There has been a tuning shop in every Gran Turismo, why would that be so exciting? Just asking.

Because everyone one of those previous tuning shops have been more or less, disappointing. And maybe because we haven't seen it. Seeing it alone could be exciting.

I think you have that backasswards.

First off, it's bassackwards. Second, I already know I don't matter. You clearly don't, and missed YET AGAIN, my whole point. I was merely trying to be informative, and that you seem to have missed the point of why Kaz makes this game. Not to tell you how to play GT and that you were WRONG. That is why I said the dunce cap was fitting, it's because you missed the whole point. Now you've missed it twice. :dunce:

Does anyone know, if there by any chance is a GTplanet representative present at E3?

Well, I believe we should send the nearest, trustworthy member to go there.

Because afterall, I'm sick of seeing silly journalists play the game!

damage deformation trailer and tuning shop.... for me this will be show..

Translator guy with two move controllers 3D glasses and still taking notes is the highlight for me.
And yes the thread is necessary as I have predicted 237 pages before E3.

I imagine PD would show a new trailer at E3, and at the end of the trailer show the release date for GT5 in NA, EU, and JP.

World-wide, hopefully.

And in this trailer, I'd simply like to see falling rain/snow, a returning track or two, and some new car models.

That's all I really would want in a new trailer.

This is too optimistic, I know, but I'd love if they announced that it was gonna be released next month (meaning July, as E3 is in June). Would make my summer.

That would be ideal. But September is surely another good option.

Telling me things I don't care about and explaining them over and over isn't gonna change anything. I stated my opinion. You replied to my opinion saying I don't understand the point of the game. I told you I see the game the way I wanna see it. Now, again, you're telling me I don't see the game as it should be seen.
And no, I meant backasswards.
Anything else, take it to PM.

I am a fanboy, thank you very much. But then, can you tell me of another game which is a celebration of all things automotive, and does it so well?

 What does that have to do with anything, man? Just because the game is great, it doesn't mean you have to be a fanboy. Look at me. Look at Terronium-12. Look at McLaren. Notice anything?

Admitting that you are a fanboy really makes me wonder if you criticized Forza all this way because you really didn't like it, or because you have something against it. But I guess I know the answer.

Oh, and:

Tenacious D
He wants you to understand that each car has a legacy of ancestors

FORD
Mustang GT ('05)
Mustang SVT Cobra-R ('00)

What a legacy!

I can imagine this trailer and after that Kazunori saying(in english:)) "our newest masterpiece won't be coming this year fall. It is actually coming THIS VERY WEEK!!!!!!!! :):):):):):)
Then you hear the whole studio applausing, Jack Tretton applausing, Kaz Hirai applusing, fans of gt5 planet that spent the whole night in front of a screen waiting impaciently for these news applausing!!!!!
Then the next day all of us go to the nearby game store camping for gt5 to arrive. That would be a dream(that will propably never come true:guilty:)

It would be a PR nightmare and fail miserably.

You need at least 2 months to get a good advertising campaign going.

(Now to wait for the "GT doesn't need advertising" comments)

Fanboy vs. Fanatic - fine line, no?

What about previous GT titles?

Fine, but I wonder how many gamers don't know that GT5 is coming? Advertising of games is not necessary when you consider all the coverage games get whilst they are still being developed.

I only see proper adverts for games a few weeks in advance of their release at the earliest, not including the internet.

You forgot about the '63 Shelby GT350R, and the Fore Escort Rally car (I know there are a few more, I just can think of them off the top of my head). That is in GT4 as well, and there are more cars than that in previous GT titles.

You obviously don't understand Kazunori, Gran Turismo, or me, if my little essay said nothing to you. If Gran Turismo says nothing to you except "*vroom vroom* I'm just another racing game!"

Someone said that there's no difference between Polyphony Digital and every other developer, that they're only in it for the money. But there is a very obvious difference.

Other Developers: We have to get the game out, bugs and all, by (X-date).

Kazunori: It will be ready when it is complete.

Lol. ;)

About the thread, if you don't like it, go away. It obviously isn't E3 time yet anyway. If you don't want to contribute to a discussion, but are posting anyway, you're not making much sense or doing anything but needlessly adding to the post count, dig?

As for GT5, I'm expecting a pretty substantial bunch of goodies. In E3 2004, Kaz went into all sorts of aspects, especially one which puzzled me about how cool it was: Photo Mode. These days, every decent console racing game has one. I'm wondering what Kaz has simmering in the oven...

Oh, one more thing. Gran Turismo is one of a very select few games which do indeed practically advertise themselves.

Remember the presentation at E3, (I think), where KY had a powerpoint presentation with all of the expected features?

That would be an IDEAL E3 for me. Add a new trailer and a release date and you have grasped all the GT fans and given them what they wanted. Well, at least THIS fan. :)

^ A new and revealing trailer please.

By revealing I hope you mean:

-New car models from existing manufacturers

-New manufacturers and some of their car models

-Some type of weather (falling snow/rain)

-Perhaps a glimpse at GT Auto (livery editor)

-More damage

-New tracks/returning tracks re-done

It's a great thing the others are decent to admit that there will be a delay if they need to work out the kinks.
The latter says, "We can release it whenever we want" or "It's nearly complete", & then comes out a year later stating, "We're 90% done".

I have nothing against GT, but it's creator is much to passionate about his game to realize that after 5 years, it's time to finish up what you're doing & release it to the fans.

even better yet, real gameplay walkthrough presentation on stage

Yes that would be really sweet, plus a new trailer as mentioned. :)

There's so much expected from E3 that they have to have some decent showing, I would think.
