Anybody tryed the demo and can tell if the got the force feedback working proberly,so you can
feel the car understeering/oversteering.

New pics here

This is what I received in an email from the author of the Kotaku article:

"The premium cars have that specific cars interiors. The standard cars have a car's interior, but not specific per se. For example, the Enzo has the Enzo's interior. However, the Mustang probably just has an interior."

IMO bad news. :(

So most likely in short, it essentially means some have more detailed interiors then the other, at least thats what I'm under the impression of when I read "Specific".

Ok it can still be taken either way and one thing is out of the way, there will be a cockpit view for every car..........but

Premium-Will be moddled exactly what it is

Standard-Could be the actual interior for the specific car but not as detailed or
could be just generic black cockpit with wheel like psp.

So were still basically left in confusion:lol:

Worth a try anyway

Edit: What he said^^^^

The specific topic in question is whether "standard" cars have their interiors (as in the cockpit of the car) modeled (like all cars GT5p and Forza 3)?
Why would they scale things back from Prologue to GT5? When was the last time Polyphony included a major gameplay feature in a demo or a Prologue that was cut from the final game? The only instance I can recall was when they dropped three circuits from GT2, only one of which appeared in a video demo.

The articles on this matter are quite clear. The confusion stems from people debating it and rushing in to post. There are one thousand cars in the game. Of these, one thousand cars have their cockpits modelled. Two hundred of those cars have a greater level of detail and the ability for compete deformation in accidents. The other eight hundred have cockpits and the ability to get dented and scraped, but neither to the same extent as the Premium cars.

The standard will have cockpit view and it will exactly like the Time trailer Nissan, remember when you looked from the rear view in that car in Time trailer and you couldn't see the back interior, the back camera was looking from the rear bumper... This how Standard cars will look with cockpit but with less interior.

HOW HARD IS THIS?! previews didn't say nothing about standard cars not having cockpit view.

That's as clear as mud. Still doesn't make any sense what-so-ever to me.

Edit: What Sasuki said seems to make some sense.

What I think by this is that the standard cars will have a interior like GT5P with the car's steering wheel and dashboard but no seats and the rest of the interior. The premium will have everything you can find when you step into a car including the back seats, pedals, gearbox, rear luxuries and everything else in a car.

I think it's becoming clearer:

Premium=Cars in GT5, cars in GT5: Prologue and new cars we have yet to see (or have seen since Prologue). Examples: ZR1 C6, Viper ACR, LF-A, F1 McLaren, Veyron, F40, LP 640, Alfa Romeo AC, Maserati Gran Turismo S, etc, etc, etc.

Standard=Cars we've gotten to know very well over the past decade. GT through GT4 cars will all be standard. No serious damage. Cockpit? Probably limited. Examples: C5 Vette, C4 Vette, C3 Vette, C2 Vette, Skyline R34, Skyline R33, Skyline, R32, etc, etc.

It means the standard cars will also have Cockpit view, come on people whats the matter.

My Guess on Standard and Premium cars.

Standard Models: Cockpit View, no full damage, only scratches and dirt

Premium Models: Cockpit View, Full Damage etc.

What I don't understand is why people even doubted cockpits for all cars in the first place! Guess it doesn't matter to me seeing as how I use chase cam 95% of the time. :sly:

But I think it's nothing to worry about. All cars will have Interiors, 200 of those cars had the extra mile put into theirs. That's about it. :)

The way I see it, I think premiun cars will be modeled exactly to spec, with everything inside being exactly the same as in real life.

Doing this for all 15 (or whatever the number is) variations of mazda mx5 would be a lot of effort for very little reward. So maybe they just modelled one of the mazdas mx5 as a premiun model and the other 14 are "standard" as in they don´t have the little differences from the main model (maybe it won´t have the cd player in place, or the gearshift will have a texture with 5 gears when that model has 6, a missing sticker, simple a/c instead of climatronic, etc...) Things most people wouldn´t notice but if you know that car you would realize the interior is not exactly the same.

Regards

That means no Damage on Toyota GT-One race car then?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I want the Skylinr R34 and the Supra to be premium,

well if they are standard at least they will have a cockpit view :D

Paskowitz' idea was the best from the start. Let's pull together all the cars with modeled cockpits, and wait until it reaches 200. Then when it goes over, we can stop bickering about this whole thing :D

Thank you.

Also bad news. In my follow up email I asked this:

"So the standard cars would be like the ones in GTPSP? And the premium ones would be like what we are used to in GT5p and the demos shown at E3? Also wow that was a very fast reply."

And got this as a reply:

"Yeah, something like that. The premium cars just have really detailed interiors."

As much as I would love to believe that all cars will have interior views... it looks slim at this point.

I love how that confirmed that standard cars had interiors. People worry for no reason sometimes, but I can understand. Either way it's a very good article. Kudos to you GlobeKIDD and MotorTrend. :)

MotorTrend are the best

There you have it people, standard cars will have cockpit view and interiors but with less details from the premium ones.

Thank you.

You should check out the MotorTrend link. Standard cars have their interiors. They're just not as super-detailed as the premium cars.
