@happycorey: I'm not sure why you mentioned the 908 HDI FAP not having a cockpit+interior view but I guess thats part of sarcasm, I think?

For some reason I was thinking it didn't have a cockpit (since they didn't allow people to use it) but since you mentioned that I remember it did have a cockpit. But that's how it would be, they wouldn't allow people to view a premium car cockpit, or rather, they wouldn't show it at all

In which world do you pilot a car from the hood? The cockpit view in GT5 isn't far off from where you normally sit in a car, field of vision is limited to screen size, but you do get a pretty good view to either side. You should be able to see your driver side mirror at a glance and the rear view too. From the hood, um, you can see neither...how is that realistic in any manner of humanly possible feats?
In a realistic cockpit view all you would see is the top of your steering wheel.

Head tracking would allow you to look left and right at yours mirrors and down at the dials.

A bonnet view is the closest you get to this view unless premium cars allow you to move your seat closer to the window.

The next time you drive your RL car try looking in the mirrors or reading the dials while looking straight ahead as is possible in GT5's cockpit view.

The Constant Risk of Crashing Adds To The Tension:
3 Levels of Vehicle Damage

Rollovers Introduced

As in a real race during a really hard crash, or when bumps on the road are hit at very high speeds, or if the car’s orientation is not right during a jump; the car may roll over under these unexpected events, and the effect will bring intense excitement to the race.

* Damage is not necessarily applied to all races in the game.

New footage of night racing as well as what I believe is SSR5!!

Check it out: http://www.gran-turismo.com/jp/gallery/d9408.html

I love how you can see nothing inside the car but shift light and gears indicator
Gonna make night rally a PITA to beat now  (which I'm sure will be part of a license test/ special events)
Also, on the Career mode pic: The Special Events showing a crew chief and engineer talking, you thinks that's where Newey and Vettel comes in?
