Think about it. If all 1000 cars had cockpit you would think they would advertise that fact. Also during the IGN interview the SCE rep was asked directly to define premium vs standard. He completely dodged the question. Why would he do this? Its simple he does not want everyone to know GT5 will have 800 cars without a cockpit view. Plain and simple. These are not wild assumptions. While I understand that nothing is 100% confirmed at this point, given the pile of statements we have received the most likely fact is that 800 cars will not have a cockpit view and 200 will.

Actually, the Enzo and 458 are in the Demo and are listed as "Premium". Maybe PD got a VERY special license to destroy those Ferraris. Mercedes, Nissan and Lexus are also there, all of whom have had issues with having their cars damaged in the past. However, that said, it would seem that only SOME Ferraris, Nissans, Lexi, and Mercedes will be damaged. Namely, the ones in the E3 Demo

Anyone knows if there were any Standard cars? If so could someone show any pics or videos between Standard and Premium cars?

All cars will have damage, premium cars will have deformation, and parts coming loose and such. All cars will show, dirt, dents, dings, scratches and I'm guessing paint. Premium have great amount of damage to showcase, rolling over, under carriage damage, interior deformation and the like. Standard=FM type of damage Premium = burnout style real time deformation, minus total car destruction.

I'm guessing all cars have roll-over. It would be weird if you were racing a Premium car against a Standard car and you both it the same spot and only the premium car rolled. I also think All cars will have undercarriage, but he Premiums will have the car's actual undercarriage with moving parts and stuff, while the standard cars will have a generic undercarriage.

Makes me wonder why they choose only Premium car to be in the demo. They sure didn't do it to show off damage and roll over.

Going by that logic, is the SUBARU rally car the only premium car then since that's the only one we've seen with panels falling off?

Actually the video floating around with the white Lambo (think reverse lights) shows the rear bumper hanging off towards the end of the video.

Which proves my

All cars are premium in the demo because they aren't going to showcase cars that don't have a cockpit view at an E3 demo and one of the largest out of them all. Could you imagine showing an 05 Corvette with black bars? Or how about a Pugeot 908 with black bars? Kind of embarrassing.

There are ROAD cars that are Premiums, but can't be deformed, and I would think it is 100% safe to assume, all race cars you can deform

Hey SrRd RacinG - thanks a lot for the first post in this topic - great job.

I understand all the news from all the interviews is there ? ;)

@happycorey: I'm not sure why you mentioned the 908 HDI FAP not having a cockpit+interior view but I guess thats part of sarcasm, I think?

the 1970 Challenger R/T should be added to the list on the front page 'cause it hasn't been in a GT game since GT2 and I think the one in GT2 was a '71 Challenger.

I still dont believe It Look at the track situation they have it down as 20 tracks 70 variations however 18 has been confirmed and the guy during the interview said more tracks where coming. I read the interview and for the people who say that the 100% confirms no cockpit please give me better evidence. What i got out the text was Kaz just going with the fllow.

you mean some dents and dings?

Yes, cosmetic(scratches wtv) and mechanical(car go bang car go slow) damage, Full damage to the extent of nuts and bolts has yet to be seen.

That Ferrari excuse was Forza's i believe. That they wouldnt allow them to trash the cars like the rest. Times have-a-changed.

Why didn't Gtplanet staff go to E3 and interviewed KY?

Because we would actually ask pertinent probing questions and not media fodder headline stuffer questions like "when is it coming out?" despite the fact that they just saw a trailer which ends with he release date.

Because we actually care, and are passionate and devoted.

or maybe because we dont have a multi-billionaire wanker owner who calls in industry favors like Home Alone kid does room service.

BUt one thing is for sure Kaz noticed GTPlanet and he bigged us up, not only that but showed his appreciation!

We have to question PD's thinking here, seriously.

Why on earth did they make 1000 cars, when 400, or even 300 is enough? They could have made 400 premium models instead of 800 standard models. Don't you agree that would've been much better?

I think I have majority on my side when I say I won't drive any of those 800 standard cars.

The playable cars are all premium.

Why do they keep showing off their best car models when they do not have a lot of them to begin with.👎

Do they not know that this is going to hurt GT5 even more, making it worse in this area than it could have been. :ill:

They need to come clean and show us the cars that really represent GT5 not the cars that do not. Misled for almost 4 years, not exceptable at all period. :banghead:

Only if true of course. :)

People, just please stop with these usless speculations, Lets just wait for GmaCom im sure he has some surprises to unveil there, because GameCom and TGS are more important than E3 for GT5.

Id like to ask something regards this continued cockpit debate.
Im not going to tell anyone what is what but give information for people to decide for themselves.

GT PSP
How many cars was in the PSP game?
How many of those cars had cockpit view?
Has it not been said that PSP cars are modelled down from the PS3 versions?
Is it then likley to assume that all the cars in the PSP version with cockpit view would also have cockpit view in GT5?

Have any of you guys seen this vid yet at Gamespot? Talks about Gran Turismo 5, plus showing 16 race cars on 1 track.

Great find, thanks for sharing.

It'll be a let down if they haven't modelled the interior detail of Toyota Gt-One race car. Love to see that in GT5. :)

Well I truely believe not all cars will have cockpit view but I have a THEORY , so all cars we can control how powerfull the light beams are we can flash the light , sound the horn and see the reverse lights but no cockpit view (a little bit strange if you ask me)
