Erm, nope! :dopey: Very impressive, though. I need to remind myself that that effect (especially the view of "chinatown", a bit further in) is possible with head / face tracking only!

Anyway, it was this one (I think), but on second watching - once you can filter out the camera movements :ill::crazy::yuck: - I think it is using face tracking.

Most videos before were not so erratic though. Maybe whoever was playing didn't "get it"- apparently one of the biggest issues (see owen.c93's post above)

Anyway, the idea is you turn your head slightly but keep your eyes fixed on the screen - the movement is not 1:1, so the on-screen pan pitch and roll; up / down, fore / aft and left / right displacement (for 6DOF systems like in GT5, or Freetrack) is exaggerated. It just takes some getting used to - see if you can find some discussion on TrackIR (and similar, free, solutions) since the sim crowd have been using this for years already.

Seriously, all this could be put to bed with one screen cap of a standard cars dashboard but there seems to not be one out there!
Robin.

Dude I hate to be the bringer of bad news, but that's because not one exists. Standard cars have blacked out windows because they have no cockpit/interior. Now I don't KNOW this but it seems like there's no getting away from it now. I love cockpit view as much as anyone but the time has come to accept this and move on

To be fair, have we even seen standard car gameplay?

No.

Don't you think that exists?:dunce:👍

Still some hope. I think it's way too unclear at this point.

Me too mate, but I just read the GT5 official factsheet from gran-turismo.com/us website, this might not be new for most of members around, but just dropped my expectations, seems like we're getting a blacked generic cockpit for Standard cars, just like kaz hinted at the twitter Q&A.

Which is the track in this photo??

It's reminds me on circuit from GT3 I dont know name sorry...💡

For some reason I have the feeling we will also get all the GT4 tracks back.
The Nürburgring in the GT5 Standard car video looks like the old 3D model and remember those high-def GTPSP shots with New York and El Capitan? Would also explain the "Premium" we saw in the Nürburgring 24h demo.

George V. The trees look familiar.

Edit: Correction, its SSR 11. Just saw a GT3 replay and those christmas trees were there in that exact same spot.

It is George V...
Would it be a Standard track (just a hd version of GT4's?)
Or do you think they remodelled it ? It's a too short clip to say i guess

While the trees look like they are fro George V, the track layout does not look similar. I would put my money on it being a newly adapted SSR5. Given that SSR5 looks like its had a significant makeover for GT5.

I keep watching the video and it seems like its been redone. Doesn't look like just an upscaled GT4 track.

Just edited the post. I think its SSR 11.

Well... that video clears up that there won't be any premium/standard stuff to do with the tracks. Because it would say "premium" somewhere, like it did in the subsequent car menu.

But it did earlier, in the demo at the 24h of Nürbürgring...
Then it said that the Nordschleife was a premium track.

Looks like SSR11 to me, there's an S turn before the right hander which leads to the long straight. There were only some fences in GT4 version, so they might have added the christmas trees to give a more real feel to the track.

Holy crap, 3D trees! I can't believe PD heard us! :dopey:

[/sarcasm]

All Track Will have 3d trees,

the only track that doesn't have 3d trees is Nurburgring nordschleife because of the huge amount of trees that track has.

And btw yeah, maybe it's not George V, but just some revised SSR..
If you look at the rollover clip, with the sls coming out of a tunnel, you see those trees with christmas lighting too

You know all the tracks?

Well its obvious, all other tracks shown in the E3 demo had small amount of tress compared to Nurburgring nordschleife...

im sure there is no track that has these number of trees that Nurburgring nordschleife has. :D

I would guess weather..
But maybe that's too much to ask;)

I just wanted to "jump on this bandwagen" of
I guess...
I think...
There might be...
Maybe...
It could be...
Lets' hope...
etc.

ASSUMING BUT NOT KNOWING!!!

Again I make the careful suggestion to close all forums and discussions about GT5 until 2nd of Nov... LOL

What might be Chris's favorite feature that is still undisclosed?

Track Editor?
Livery Editor?
Pit Chicks? LOL

Dynamic weather synchronized to the real world tracks would be good as would a track editor but I'd also like to see an event editor. I'd like to make my own GT-Mode.
