There seems to be tiny little biys of info that have been found over the last few days which suggests that there may be more than 16 car races in GT5. Notice how no one has really come out and explicitly stated "16 cars is the LIMIT for online/offline." The people being interviewed kinda dance around the subject. I'm not getting my hopes up, but I think Kaz may have a surprise in store for us.

just let it go, dude.
You're talking about the AUP, yet you don't use capital letter to start your sentence. Way to go. đź‘Ť

32 stock cars online would be insane. I'm not a huge NASCAR fan (not even tiny), but that'd be one hell of a race!
The thing is though, that we will probably struggle to keep the frame rate high as it is, so with 32 cars I guess it would be pretty damn laggy.

32 car online racing would validate any and every delay that has plagued the game. I mean, can you imagine the development that would be needed to have a solid netcode to support 32 PREMIUM cars on track? If this turns out to be the case then PD truly will have revolutionized the genre.

 Can I have your PSN name? I'll be sure to put you on my blocked list. Wouldn't want to accidentally drop a tire off the track and have you come up and spin me out or give me an earful in my mic.

Why is that? Oh, and don't worry, I'm not much for voice chat (not too comfortable speaking english), don't even have a microphone. :)

Why are you pissed anyway?

not pissed, more facepalmy. You keep nitpicking about everything I say. and you keep expressing your distaste of the 800 standard cars. Like...think of something else to do, please.

No, I just thought it seemed you took "They'll land in Canada." so seriously. That's why I pointed out he was probably joking.

EDIT: You on the other hand, claimed I didn't follow the AUP, even though I did.

I think more than 16 cars would imply Standard car races.

So... if there were 20 or more Standard cars on a track, who would be interested??

ME ME ME!! đź‘Ť

I'd rather have 20 standard cars than 12 standard cars but I wuould rather have the whole game limited to 12 and have all great looking cars with interiors.

We can put a nice spin on it however we like, it's just not good news.

When you say interior, I think you differ in meaning from when Kaz says 'interior'. Japanese is a different language than English. 'Interior' could mean 'inside' 'innards' or something like that instead of meaning, 'cockpit' or 'interior driving view' I see no reason to believe there won't be that 'view' in 80% of the cars in the game. Seeing as how Kaz has remodeled every car for GT5.

Depends if GT5 uses P2P like GT5P and if thats the case lag will depend on the upload connection of the host. I doubt there are many who have a fast enough upload connection to host 32 players.

Thankfully here in the UK some people will very soon have 40mb down, 10mb up.

Most games, nowadays have very little lag (save Forza...or at least Forza 2 had a lot of lag) because instead of just picking a random assortment of players, the servers are now programmed to find players with more compatible connections to reduce lag. However, some games, (again, like Forza 2) have the stupid switch flipped on with this and sometimes the game won't let you join up with friends because your connection and a connection of one of your friends isn't compatible.

But, I agree, I don't think you'll have 60fps with 32 online players on the same track. 16, I could see with that frame-rate, but not 32.

Dude, just drop the piss and moan act, okay? If you don't like the 800 cars, just don't mess with them and pretend your playing GT3 HD or something.

I'm talking about how cool it would be to have more players in a race. You sure aren't going to have 32 cars in a Premium Car race. That's not spin, doctor.

Except he didn't remodel every car. You can look at many of them & tell they're ported over. The only reason they look really good now is because they were modeled that way to begin with. With the PS2 capabilities, though, they had to be brought down to a more suitable level for the console.

"The massive lineup of cars from past Gran Turismo games has been beautifully recreated through the latest technology and the Playstation 3’s cutting-edge graphics."
It's strange that they are not look like that.Yes they looks better than even GT4 photomode, but after premiums they look...dated, very GT4 like.
