It's a bit of a random question, but is there any info on the driver avatar you are supposed to select at the start of the game?

Maybe the museum has some online functions and won't be accessible until the game is released?

So if you aren't connected to the internet it tells you that message. Surely it would say "internet connection required" to avoid confusion.

If RDK has an incomplete version of the game then someone really needs to make a new thread about this so everyone sees it. This is a very big deal. People were freaking out about the quality of GT5 because of the information him and Tekken were sharing with us. Everything they told us about features in the game, we have to ignore now.

I appreciate the videos and screenshots they shared with us, but if they have a beta build, that is bad. We were going off of bad information and a lot of people canceled their pre-orders or got worried about the quality of the game. Bugs and things like that were discovered that might not be in the full version. This is very bad.

But we don't know if it's an incomplete version or not. I am inclined to believe the people who say it is due to online functionality. Makes the most sense to me anyway.

Did you read it? IT said not this version if it was an online issue it would of said something about the servers, This message is the same message that comes up in the GT5 demo when you try to click on a dark icon.
Yes, which means bugger all. He gets the same message when trying to access any of the games other online features such as uploading replays to youtube. The servers aren't running yet, when they're up the game will likely be patched to unlock those features. We might all be getting these messages if either the servers or patch (if required) don't go live before release.

This is a non-story now people.

Same error for an online component.

Grammatically correct or not, this is an online issue, not a case of an incomplete version.

No, I believe he means when he goes online and tries to access the museum he still gets that error.

So B-Spec mode can't be accessed... it was confirmed that when you start up the game you can start A-Spec or B-Spec mode from the start.

More chance that he does have a preview copy.

Like Prologue, when you try to enter Online while not connected to PSN?

Sure. But seeing as how GT5's online servers aren't up yet, that might explain why he's getting this error message, for both the Museum, and any online aspects.

People who say he doesn't have a final retail version might be right. People who say this is entirely down to a server issue might be right. This doesn't prove either one conclusively.

Not true. They could have purposely given that msg as well for online due to them knowing the servers wouldn't be up if it was originally intended to be a preview copy for journalists.

While this may sound silly and stupid, I have a feeling RDK works for PD/Sony and is getting us hyped up for the game by posting those pictures, and I must admit that he did a good job at that (if he indeed meant to). 👍

No the B-Spec works, he was trying to access the "museum" option.

I pointed out that the B-Spec mode is already a dead giveaway. PD confirmed that you can start your career in two ways in the beginning, A-Spec and B-Spec.

Do you know what that means?

14 pages of speculation.:scared:

I can't help but notice that the people are cheering, in a way that suggests this would be a track...

They're cheering at his photography skills. He even has someone trying to take a picture back at him!
Is the woman checking out the car? :)

Edit: wow, just realised the size! Photo travel has a higher resolution then?

So basically, people without internet can't use museum?

Why would you print a beta version and box it with all the literature?

Have we actually seen the game coming out of the box with a manual? That is just a photo and the game footage could be coming from a different disc.

I thought something was weird as the disc says Polyphony Digital followed by TM and the game case says Polyphony Digital followed by R meaning one isn't right or one was made well before the other. The only possible explanation is the front covers were printed long before the disc.

Could be a cut down demo/preview/beta version.... might explain the weak damage, because there was a note from PD with some versions that explains the full damage system is not in place

Maybe why Sony wanted to delete all the videos... it's giving the game a bad impression....

That makes sense but it could also be the opposite.

Sony wanted to delete the videos cause they actually thought that this is the Full Version.

Just a quick question, and apologies if it's been brought up before.

Has anyone seen a shot of the instruction manual yet?

In the photos on the first page all there is is the disk and the case. Usually, GT games come packaged with a pretty robust set of instructions.
