So no more reward cars? Hmm, I'll miss figuring out how to win what and see how far I could go into the events on only reward cars... It added a sort of strategy I liked so I could save my money for the really expensive cars...

Wishlist

- I'd love a car count of what's available initially, so I can work out how many premiums are left to unlock.

- I'd love clarification on the 2nd hand / standard model scenario.

- I know there is no livery editor but I'd love to see what customisation stuff there actually is.

- a Course editor demo, preferably a really narrow twisting hilly attempt.

- damage demo!

- a run through of the finalised various car views.

- a drive through of Monaco.

+1

I would also like to know how body kits work to finally put this one to bed... And if there are kits are they only sold in sets? or can you mix up the parts? And if they are name brand like Nismo or Blitz, etc...

My first drive will be in the Honda City turbo once I transfer me PSP garage. I'm excited to see more standard cars mixing it up. Unknown release date is just crazy...

Where did you read that? If that's true, I'll be EXTREMELY pissed off. Or were being sarcastic in response to Lambo's rant?

Well yes its all a matter of opinion. While you seem to greatly want some Cadillacs.. I could honestly careless. Only thing they've got is the CTS-V that would remotely have a chance of interesting me.

But to so this game is rubbish and Forza is faaar superior because it has a couple Cadillacs is not a very good argument.

So going back on quantity.. 1 super car is not worth having over 25 unique whatever-cars.. And while everyone loves to complain about duplicate models (skylines).. It takes them however long to model the R34 for example.. Now with a few quick minor paint/trim adjustments they've got another R34.. and then another.. and then another.. It makes sense for efficiency. I'm sure the Forza developers see it the same way.QUOTE]

Well I'm no big Cadillac fan either but the CTS-V is the fastest production sedan in the world right now, so I think it's worth being in, isn't it?

And Forza is not all about supercars or hypercars, anyway. There are nice little everyday cars like the Fiesta,Aveo,Yaris, performance SUVs and trucks like the X6M, Cherokee SRT-8, ML63 AMG, Ram SRT-10 and classics from the golden years like the 250 GTO, Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA , Aston Martin DB5 Vantage, BMW M1 ,Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa, Fiat 131 Abarth, Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe so it looks pretty much well-rounded to me.

And I'm no Forza PR agent or anything, just trying to look a the whole picture

Wow, I hope I'm wrong... I've read it a few times over the past few days... not at all solid intel...

Is the current gen 2010 or 2011 gt500? 2011 mustang gt? sorry im a mustang enthusiats Im just hoping for something other than a 05 or 07 mustang gt they always slap on there

Both the 07' & 10' Mustang GT appear to be in, Don't know if they added the 10' Shelby GT500, would be under the Shelby dealership if they added it. The 2000 Mustang SVT Cobra R which is likely to still be in, is a standard would be found in the used cars.

Can anyone point me to where it details the importing of PSP cars and or any other PSP/PS3 GT functionality? Like older GT's can you import the license tests etc?

I have the PSP version sitting here and haven't played it much at all because its not really a "game"...

Seriously, stop bitching.

Also, go back to Gran Turismo 4 and then check the feature list for GT5. If you are disappointed in any way, then I do not know what to say.

Don't forget about the prologue transfer "would be good if someone can confirmed it.

Uh, no. That is the Ford Mustang GT Premium V8 Coupe S197 that we had in GT5 Prologue and the 1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1 we first saw in the Red Bull TGS Trailer. There is no new Mustang. Only the classic 2nd gen and the outdated 2006 car. No 5.0. No Focus RS. Just the cars from Prologue, the cars from the demos and the two NASCARS. Nothing new. They have pretty much showed everything they have in the trailers. The only new cars we have even seen was the Ferrari SP1 (which is a dressed up F430 and a car no one even remembers) and the Scuderia Ferrari F10.

All I'm asking, and many other people on the forum, not just of you but of all the other complainers of such things, is to wait until we have the whole picture of GT5. Right now its a pile of dismantled blurry puzzle pieces.

Yes there are cars that are in Forza that will not be in GT5. Just as it was with GT4. I'm sure you were aware of this anyway. I'm still dieing to have Porsche. But for business/licensing/contract reasons that I am not aware of.. GT still doesn't have them. And I'm almost certainly sure it isn't Kaz's fault.. and I can see no reason why Porsche would not want to be in such a magnificent game series.. So it has to be all about business. Which ruins things sometimes for certain people.

Can't please everyone. I'm sure they still won't have the Mitsubishi Starion (not the rally version) in the game.. Or the old B13 Nissan Sentra SE-R/NX 2000s in the game. Its crazy. But there are reasons apparently. We shrug our shoulders.. And enjoy the dozens and dozens of other cars we like in the game.

No no no. Forza3 is rubbish because it hasn't evolved since the second release. Since its 720p, 8 cars online, no weather, no day/light, no particle simulations, no pit crew, sub-par visuals, below par image capture & photomode, amazingly terrible online compared to 2, low polygon in-game vehicles, low polygon driver that floats hands through gears, incorrect interiors, etc.

Need for Speed has an amazing selection of cars as well.. but neither are comparable to Gran Turismo when it comes to car porn. Which is what a lot of the car enthusiasm community looks for. PC's are where you find the real challenging sims, and the PS3 is the only place to find the visuals & sim that are in the GT series. Everyone pretends GT's so unrealsitic, yet no one can seem to ever keep a car on the road, while the game boasts its own creator being a racer/super car creation/and several relationships with the major players of the car industry. Like I dunno, Nissan? Iracing and others still can't manage to balance sim & near-photo reality as Polyphony has, with a limited specification of hardware.

GT5's polygonal in-game detail surpasses that of forza and any sim on the market. Its not as if the detail is the same in Forza and GT, so thats why its arguable. Its simply not. You have people photoshopping forza images to get to the contrast/lighting/grain levels of GT5prologues replays/stills in order for them to look good. PD spends time on its sim & visuals, and the time spent shows.

As the time Turn10 spent on F3 shows. A pissed off online community that still has the balls to pipe up every now and then to try to pretend F3 and GT are in the same class. F3 is a great game, but its no GT, and it will never be a GT since Microsoft cares more about selling less units of forza 3 than GT5 prolgue, than making a game which makes a dent in the genre. Forza's legacy has been a livery editor in a sim/driving package & the marketplace. There hasn't been anything since in any of the 3 titles that has been as important as say, another racing series, or weather, or particles/wind, or even high polygon models in game. Feature to Feature shows how sad it is that while they've released 3 titles, they've yet to make much of a journey from the original title.

There is no one in the world of gaming thats going to settle for Forza3 if GT5 is an option. It was good while GT wasn't around, but you'll never find anything like that Zonda replay in Forza3. And I doubt ever in the forza series. They just don't have the direction. Forza has had 3 games to re-create vehicles accurately.. yet still can't seem to figure out what a active spoiler is. Turn10 can't manage to cut off all aids in the game, or rubber banding. The focus on vehicles just isn't there. Its on one-upping the GT franchise, instead of finding a soul for the franchise of its own.

& Yes, dont' buy the game due to the car list please...ignore everything else. Because Carlist is the only reason why you buy a game.

I need to see less people online that can't even make it past the first turn anyway.

Reading through this is quite funny, I dont own a PS3 but have been looking into one for GT5. The comparisons to Forzas car list are outrageous! I have played Forza since the first one and have recently bought GT4, the GT4 Carlist beats Forza by a mile! Forza has stopped listening to their community and their car list is stupid. 500 cars including DLC, that may sound pretty good but when the DLC is cars never asked for or cars already in the game it gets annoying. Then theres the cost! To buy all DLC and Forza before this Ultimate collection it would cost $150+ and theres still less cars than GT4 or GT3! I could go on but ill leave all you annoyed people with this, from Forza 1 people have been asking for the 180SX and its still not in the 3rd time round + DLC. Consider yourselves lucky to have a game Director who wants to make your game perfect, yes it took a while but aren't the best things in life worth waiting for?

me too long time mustang enthusiast, the first fast car i buy and the car i spend as much credits as possible on and spend the most time tuning :).

and now, just a few weeks ago, i bought a 99 mustang cobra as my first car, i'm already spending money on restoring it to its glory(and proper driving condition). i fear for my wallet as 2 weeks later i get a job :embarrassed:. hopefully my career comes first unlike in GT where i try and do as much with the mustang as possible instead of buying other cars XD.

images imply that cars are unlocked as you go or perhaps random (according to the first post) there is alot more to ford than this i bet.

Random dealerships and used-only standards FTL. It's little experiments like those that can heavily dampen the awesomeness of an otherwise perfect game and make you go "who did they think would like this?"

This is the selfish work of Kazunori Yamauchi. He designs the game the way he wants. Not like Turn 10 that has a 2 year plan with everything the users want. Kaz did not ask us if we wanted 500k polygon cars at the cost of car count.

The maker of the video only selected cars we've seen and only super cars... lame. Show me he C63 and not he SLS we've seen. Show us the Scuderia and not the Enza, WTH.. :)

maybe its viral marketing....

You have at least seven Mustangs now. Well 6, because two are just S197s and the same freaking car.

Ford Mustang GT '05
Ford Mustang GT Premium V8 Coupe '06*
Ford Mustang Mach 1 '70*
Ford Mustang SVT Cobra R '00
Grand Touring Garage Trans'Cammer '70*
Mercury Cougar XR-7 '67 ( Mustang in an evening gown)
Shelby Mustang GT350R '65

We cannot confirm or deny any car we have not seen because we do not how GT5's car unlocking system works.

Do you really believe that? Look man, I get it, its a by product of a very long dev cycles, content gets outdated by the time of release sometimes. It happens.:)

The first one that Like I said is the 07' Mustang GT that was in prologue, The term Premium in this case used by Ford refers to car with all the options (I own one), the third car from the left to the best I can tell is a newer GT, but the quality of the image still makes it hard to tell. Though I know the Mach 1 is likely to be a Premium that should also found under the Ford dealership.

The third car IS THE MUSTANG MACH 1. There is no current Mustang available.

in GT4, not all the cars were available via dealerships remember. some had to be bought used. I believe even the Supra was this way. Everyone should try to relax and be patient about the car list....

NOT ALL TRACKS ARE AVAILABLE AT THE START

NOT ALL CARS ARE AVAILABLE AT THE START

THEY DID THE SAME THING IN EVERY SINGLE GT GAME

SO WE DO NOT KNOW THE FINAL CAR OR EVEN TRACK LIST........

sorry about the caps lock

QFT

Seriously.

Some people are so dang ignorant.
