Yeah, good work guys! đź‘Ť Nice interview questions as well - different to the norm, and I especially love the last one about which fantasty track he'd most like to recreate in the real world! I have to agree with you though, Trial Mountain is king, alongside Monza being my all-time favourite real-world track.

Looking forward to the rest of the stuff filtering through.

I know you guys got pictures of the KY interview but did you actually film it? It would be nice to see a game site style video interview with multiple camera angles!

According to the front news article Famine wasnt allowed to film the interview Kaz didn't want to be filmed as he was nervious enough and hungry apparently lol

I think Kaz REALLY cares what people think about his game and he REALLY cares about what he thinks about his game. This seems like a common reaction when you have put so much work, so much time, and so much passion into something, you get very nervous when the moment when all those emotions climax.

Dude thats not cool. However neither are Famines shorts!
The shorts are my fault. I suspect that divorce will be on the cards when Famine returns home ;)

Venari actually has a pet tapeworm and must keep it fed, hence why he's a slim chap. He literally can eat enough to feed two or three people in one sitting - many times I've suggested he has hollow legs

In a way I would take Kaz's nervousness in this interview as a complement because it shows how much he respects GTPlanet as we are his games biggest fans.

This is the first time these two sides have officially met so if its as big a deal for him as it is for us its a good sign :).

Robin.

Quite rightly so I've always thought of Kaz handling all this pressure really well he knows the amount the public are expecting so the fact he does any of these interviews is great! I cant wait for the Embargo revealation tomorrow morning! :D

From the news page by Famine:

"What we can bring you is news that, yet again, the GT5 code has received a few tweaks and is another, more recent build than E3, there’s some good news on expected features, some better news on some potential fears and some great news on some unexpected (but by now, thanks to “other sites”, internet-wide) features. We’ll provide more the instant the embargo expires tomorrow. Kazunori seemed quite nervous beforehand – pacing the courtyard, cigarette in hand – but his nervousness was unfounded."

Hope this means what I hope it means...........

I mean if you put 5.5 years of your life into single product, a product that millions of people and the gaming industry as a whole are going to judge, you would be pretty nervous to. I hope Kaz and the whole team takes a long vacation after this.

GT5 is a very important title. It will lay the ground work for future GTs just as GT3 and GT1 did. It will also be a major driver for Sony this holiday season. A lot of money is ridding on its success.

3D trees?

So we are getting more information at 9am UK time tomorrow? Pease let there be some information about the standard interior views.

Now that I think of it this would make a perfect Kevin Butler commercial.

Johnny racing fanatic:"Hey Playstation, I want a racing game but its got to have everything"

KB: "Well Johnny, Gran Turismo 5 is coming out November 2nd, its got 3D, over a thousand cars, tons of exotic locations and graphics worth drooling over. I mean it has just about everything a racing fan could ask for."

(screen cuts back and forth and with every question KB gets more animated)

J:"Epic crashes"

KB:"Got it"

J:"What about Nascar?"

KB:"That to"

J:"Rally cars?"

KB:"And that..."

J:"Weather"

KB:"Yep!"

J:"Ok how about a track editor"

KB:"YEAH!"

J:"Ok fine then, what about..." (KB cuts him off)

KB:"EVERYTHING! IT DOES EVERYTHING! DO YOU NOT READ OUR SLOGAN! IT ONLY DOES EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

J:"Ok then..."

Que PS ending clip with XMB.

Looking good, but Monza and rolling starts :yuck: ;) Plus, I've never seen that track go by so slow - always used to thrashing F1 cars around it! I can't wait to chuck cars around my all-time favourite real-world track!

Dynamics seemed much improved over Prologue and the Time Trial Demo for GTAcademy - very squirrely under hard braking on the Hunaudieres - but we've still got some question marks about low speed physics. We're not able to replicate the sliding-down-the-banking of Prologue, but the grass is extraordinarily icy.

Firstly thanks to all for your reports.đź‘Ť

-Low speed physics seem off while just on the grass or while on tarmac as well?

-How is the FFB now and does it give more info on what the car is doing?

-Can you disable ABS and fully lock up the tires? In spec III prologue under full lock you could still steer the car which seemed wrong given total loss of frontal grip.

-Lastly do cars which employ 900 degrees steering now show it animated in cockpit view, a feature I've yet to see re-implemented since a very old prologue build.

Sorry for the assault of questions, and thanks in advance.

-Rob

No multi monitor confirmation so far?

Nope. In the interview with Famine, he said he got the answer of probably, he felt it was more of a "probably likely", than a "probably possible...."

So my understanding is of at least a 60-40 chance of having it.

Actually, I eat like a horse. But you're the second person in recent days to mention this directly. I should contact my dietary advisor (milford_cubicle, on GTP... :D) When I asked my doctor what to do to combat having a second spontaneous pneumothorax (Google it) he suggested I eat lots of pies.

I would like to say, however, it's the camera flash making me look balder than Captain Picard. I am receding a little, but that's ridiculous!

Edit: P.S. My photographs of the Kazunori-san interview will be up later. It was a nice little outdoor chat, which I faded into the background for and snapped away surreptitiously. It was excellent.

So do I, unfortunately my hollow legs have filled up so it now spills over my belt. Your doctors treatment sounds MUCH better than the options on Wikipedia :scared: I hope it doesn't happen to you again!

I suffer from the same affliction, it takes longer and longer to wash my face these days :ouch:

You, Famine and Andreas are doing a great job đź‘Ť can't wait to see all the photos and videos and the full story tomorrow morning :D

I haven't posted in about a year because the of the distraction of thinking about gt5 everyday! - i put my ps3 back into its box and under the bed and have survived on gt4 since then.

Now its about 2 months to go so i reckon it'l be less stressful than last year ( remember E3 '09)

Im happy about most of the Gamescom info, but the slow speed physics and 'icy' grass worries me. I feel the 'grass physics' are fairly accurate in gt4 - in fact- the low speed physics on gt4 with n3 tyres are pretty good, just needed tweaking for more realistic oversteer and 'squirm' under braking.

happy to be back though...and still sane after all this waiting:sly:

Famine, Zonda R & try to capture the sound too!? :D (mic close to the speaker?)

edit, and the grass physics don't bother me at all. Most propably they are the way they seem to be to get rid of any kind of shortcutting. Good, I say. đź‘Ť

I second this. Zonda R + any track.

This :D:tup:

Or even better get a direct audio feed from the TV to the camera like gNNY (Andreas) was hoping to do.

Where is gt5 prologue spec iv? Its been ages since spec iii! What have PD been up to??
I kid, I kid.. Can't wait for November. And my university education ends on the 11th of Nov too, and I will officially be unemployed. Nothing better to do than to play gt5 eh?
