Well, 4 December as a typical UK date would make 2 December a typical EU date (where releases are typically on Wednesday). I don't think a global release is going to upset that tradition, because that's just the way the supply chains work, but we'll see. That week would be the perfect for Europe, especially in the Netherlands where we have a big gift-giving holiday which most people will celebrate the weekend of 5/6 December. On the other hand for the U.S. it would be great if it came before black Friday, but that's probably not going to happen.

Don't think PD would look at Sinterklaas (for non-dutch people, Sinterklaas is the Dutch sort-of equivalent for Santa Claus, but we've got him too!) for a release date

Games get released on a Friday, that's the norm. They do in the UK anyway, just so you know the world does extend beyond the US.
The release date will either be Friday 4th or Friday 11th December, or during those weeks for the ROW. That gives them maximum time to work on the game, while giving people enough time to get their orders in before Christmas.

Having a game come out after Christmas is marketing/sales suicide, so I know that will never happen. Amazon has never been right with there predictions of a release date. I dont even look at them anymore.You can when Amazon are stating 29th Dec.
Fridays huh. In the US its Tuesdays. But its not set in stone, then can be release when ever. Which ever day comes the quickest, I'm happy with. (I also asked it as a question, no need to get rude about it)

Do they always? I can`t remember what day it was when the previous GT games were released here. I know movies are generally a thursday release.

Just checked and dec 3rd is a thursday,so if the dec 4th release rumours are true it would be a friday release. Imagine the sickies on that day!

Well, the 4th is the US would be the 3rd here in Australia. Otherwise we'd get the game a good 20 or so hours before the yanks
Im betting the game to be released on Nov. 31st, since Amar's thread said that the game would be released 30 days before the end of the year, and that date is Nov 31st-Dec 1st.

4th in the US would be the 5th here in Australia.
We [Austalia] are ahead of the US, for a same day release we would get it first

No, I'm pretty sure the 4th will remain the 4th. Think of all the calendars that have already been printed!
