Gran Turismo 6 coming to PS3

It will be a brand new car never seen before !!!! (I hope) A world premiere exclusive presentation !!!! "Something big" maybe a car made by polyphony or kazunori, the next icon of GT

Perhaps this could be the new Citroen GT (or GTbyCitroen). That car was created specifically for GT and had major involvement from PD. This could be a new car from another company collaborating with PD.

I find the car under the blue sheet looking like the older nsx/hsv prototype.
There are off course parts obscured but the proportions look pretty close to my untrained eyes.

But it would be a bit weird resurrecting that work this late.
But my money is on a hsv-street version.
Probably a reworked nose, with the light units from the later prototype nsx.

Without a doubt?

Maybe you didn't see the superimposed pictures earlier in the thread but the shape doesn't match the 86 series.

As far as the mystery car, why does it say GT4 on the back if it's not a car from GT4?

Well, the Saleen S7 says GT2 on its plate but there were no S7's in GT2.
I think the "GT4" car is just a fantasy car.
Also I don't get why people keep saying GT6:Prologue. No prologues. Release the full stuff (really hoping on PS3).

PS.:LOL @ CorvetteConquer :dopey:

I can't see there being another prologue, honestly GT5 has already done that, why should GT6? Come on guys..

Just like how there was a GT3 and GT4:P than GT4. Am I wrong?

The white car has got to be something! It has such resemblance to the GT-R but I don't know if it is or not.

GT5 is GT6 Prologue. PD is taking their mistakes made in GT5 and learning from them to make GT6. And they can also get reactions from their players. Although they haven't been doing that lately. (Seasonal Events, hybrids, etc)

A possibility for the White car??
Arash AF10 without the spoiler

Nope, the glasshouse of the Arash is completely different (as is the rear section), and the round rear lights are further apart from each other on that white car.

The body of the car looks similar to a Nissan R390 to me, but the tail lights aren't the right size or in the right location.

Is it just me, or can you see straight through the car? In the window, the curbing just happens to line up perfectly, and there are no environment reflection anywhere on the car. Looks a bit odd and lacking in detail, like it was from a much older game/console.

Bad composite job in the video

It's a ghost car.

Well (warning: speculation mode on 11), that might be deliberate if it's indeed created with a car creator function and if they intend for us to speculate about that.
If it were a perfectly cohesive design, it wouldn't even prompted me to suggest it (just a car I wasn't aware of).

It could work by either having pre-existing templates (a fixed glasshouse so that a default interior view is possible but the rest of the exterior can be styled within limitations) and the GT-R style rear lights could suggest borrowing parts from other cars in the game already modelled.

A definite possibility, although a TERRIBLE idea if it is. History has shown that only a small minority want to build a completely fictitious car. They have no relevance. The majority want to spice up existing cars. Hopefully, it allows for that feature as well.

Wow exciting day huh chaps! And some pretty good speculation from a few members - yeah you know who you are ;)

I'ma throw in my two credits and wonder if Nissan has something exciting to unveil at the show too - I mean they don't simply plough as much dough as they have into GT:A without some commercial strategy. White car = new GT-R super concept :dopey:

Phew. It's gonna be a loooong week :boggled:

I think you guys are over thinking this way to much about the white car. You know that car is supposed to represent Gran Turismo 3, so I am sure it was just an concept car from that game.

If the covered car is Nissan related then how about the replacement for the 370Z? We are surely not far off a concept for that.

It is frustrating not knowing but I am still enjoying trying to come up with the answer!

As somebody said earlier, the car underneath the blue cover is without a doubt a Scion FRS/Toyota 86/Subaru BRZ. Look at the shape. Especially on the lower front fender. Those characteristic flares of the 86/FRS/BRZ can be seen.

I disagree with your statement. It is impossible to be 100% accurate in any guess.

The white car and the one under the blue cover is a Nissan GT-R R36

Just kidding, probably it's just a car created just for the video ... Heck, I drew one that looks a lot like it, complete with round tailights and a similar black zone, I wonder if I still have it, so I can claim it as a copyright infringement. :)

It isn't a guess. Look at the outline of the cover. It's a perfect match. I have no idea why they'd use it, we'll probably end up never seeing an actual car beneath the cover. But I promise you that the car under the blue cover is some form of the 86 with the small spoiler on it. Look at it for a few minutes and you'll realize that that's what it is.

Scuderia Paul

Same here. I'm enjoying the questioning if it's a 390Z or 400ZX Z35, F12, SRT Viper VX, NA3 NSX or a C7 Corvette from that blue car cover.

The lines mostly fit between the Ferrari, NSX, Viper or the Vette, since Nissan didn't announce a new Z car yet.

I smell an auto mystery here..... ;)

I was thinking Supra as well, but only on the basis of, "How awesome would that be?!". I'd never even seen a rendering of it but that does seem to fit the profile.
