Gran Turismo 6 coming to PS3

Already pointed this out, but GTA is purely a Nissan thing. So the presence of the other manufacturers at the event means it's more than GTA.

I understand not wanting to get hyped and then disappointed but the video is clearly NOT about GTA.

This is GT6.

I still wonder how much they are willing to divulge....

1. A console?

2. A release date?

3. New manufacturers (via trailer)?

4. New features?

That white GTR like car we all saw in the video which obviously isn't in the game sure has a similar silhouette to the car under the sheets in this:

It doesn't look completely alike but the length of it does sort of resemble it. The rear is off though.

GT6 will actually be called, simply, "GT Academy."
It will be a new RPG experience where you get to play as Jann, who is training to be a master driver.

Actually I thought of "GT Life" as a title if it was not GT6: Kaz wanted more drama and the Academy and the competition between players led to more involvement. So they could give up on numbering and make it a just career-oriented game like "iRacing" is.

Maybe it's not even a single game, but a subscription-based service: You pay a fee and get the game and new contents from time to time included in the fee. The game would be centered around online-racing with some training-modes, but mainly about the drama of human racing from a career/avatar-perspective.

Ooops, sounds like "DriveClub"...

Another theory: GT6 is free-to-play and contains just basic contents. The rest you get by DLC every month... I definitely hope not, but if Sony wants to give Free-to-play a try, GT could be a nominee.

Quick question whos the guy driving the GTR in the video?

It's Jann Mardenborough, winner of GT Academy 2011 if I remember correctly.

Hopefully at this big announcement, Kaz finally remembers what car was under the cover on GT1.

PD has lied in their trailers before. Take it for a grain of salt

I disagree a bit. Looks like the GT5 hyperrealistic style but with a bit of extra something in there. This would be consistent with what I think GT6 will be like. Hyperrealistic, basic similar textures as GT5 but visibly improved.

And yes, on the PS3:):sly::drool:

A combination of which they tried to put forward with GT:HD and the backlash on it was quite large, needless to say that idea was canned and I seriously doubt they will attempt it again.

See, the fact they have organized a GT specific event suggests to me we are gonna see an information blow out.

The OP should really change the name of this thread.

If your thinking GT6 News and Discussion, it's there already.

I normally don't do this but my opinion whether it's real or not would be some are and some aren't, such as the scene passing the Saleen S7 seem real to me. There are tar spots on the upper left of the camera lens. The shot in the car getting ready to pass the first Nissan (GT1) that looks like a real in car shot with gameplay on the windshield. Even the shadow under the Blue Nissan isn't the same compared to the camera car "behind it". Edit: Plus you can see the other cars far far off, in order that he'll pass them. The red, green, sand area and curbs look way to bright, perfect and new looking like (like at Spa in-game) compared to real life shots. Of course it's just my opinion. I'm still re-watching the video for anymore ideas.

Let me refer you to this old thread

It's probably in everyone's best interest to view that thread and remind themselves of how often PD puts out certain images or videos depicting certain features and then never implements such in their final games.
