The sky seems to be very 'HDR'. I hope they're not going down the T10 route of over doing the lighting system, in saying that, cars would look so much better.

There better not be a single standard in GT6 otherwise I'll hang myself.

Possibly; it's really hard to tell with such a small sample.
I'd love to get a 24 hour time lapse at nurburgring to be able to observe and study this new lighting method better - however that's just wishful thinking

Judging from what we have though? it looks a bit middle of the road between GT5 and Forza 4 for the lighting.. which is... good..? I really don't know right now.

I am pretty sure it's the same in-game view. Somebody already stated the real-life counterpart looks slightly different.

The teaser car is actually the new Hex Hybrid.

The graphics don't need improving (although reducing quality as some have suggested would be a dreadful mistake. It's features and content that will make the game.

For many others the screen tearing and wildly variable frame rate are both issues and I personally would be quite happy with a res drop to 720 if it allowed a locked frame rate and v-sync.

No, it's not, I am sure about that. It's pretty clear when the in-game footage kicks in, it has much "happier" colours and lighting.

I am now pretty sure that GT6 will be a PS3 game after looking at the trailer. Whether it'd be cross gen or not I'm still not sure, but I doubt it. Believe what you want to believe, but this is what I feel.

Also standard cars may return as well, unless the Saleen in the trailer is made to premium. If standard, that's another indication of a PS3 version one way or another.

I'd much rather have reduced pixelation and screen tearing than have higher quality graphics.

Actually, a drop in resolution to 720p with a solid framerate and no particle artifacts, as well as proper shadows would be impeccable quality.

In any case, I'm going to celebrate with some racing action on that vacuum cleaner racer.

More like select portions of the video are in-game and some are real life. Obviously cleverly hidden from the person who isn't eagle-eyed, but quite obvious if you're familiar with screenshots from the game.

It is a Concept car.. But what concept car ??

Or it's a concept of a new concept, thing is, they know these trailers are scrutinized to the bone and every other vehicle is instantly recognizable.
So why include this odd car nobody seems to recognize?

I'm increasingly starting to suspect this car doesn't exist at all, making it a fantasy car.
But why include a rather 'mundane' but oddly shaped fantasy supercar in the first trailer for months, possibly announcing GT6?
Especially when fantasy cars in the GT-series have almost always been of the kind which weren't available as real cars or due to licensing issues.

See where I'm getting at? What if this is just an example of a fantasy car, using our own fantasy?

Well all the cars have stuff written on the number plates, Blue GTR has GT1, Enzo has GT3, red GTR has GT5 but I can't make out the white car, nor am I sure what type of car it is.

Also with the ending showing GT1-5 do you think they could release a GT HD with all of them on? Would be a cool way to celebrate the 15 years, hope there is some GT6 info tho

I think the entire video is real footage. Only ghost cars are included. The rest is HQ filming and good angles.

Is weird that people can´t tell the difference between what is real and what not. Real is always more defined and at the same time more imperfect while looking at details.
The "effects" that you may see are just added by the lens of the cameras. As simple as that.

This was completely filmed on Silverstone. There are no ingame szenes. Just some standard cars found their way into their footage.

I think that not even the next gen could create these graphics to match the real thing. And the PS3 is far far away from it.

We have to wait and see.
