Gran Turismo 6 coming to PS3

Some info about GT Academy from here: Link:

Jann Mardenborough races through 15 classic years of Gran Turismo.

The world's greatest race training programme is coming back to transform more Gran Turismo gamers into professional racing drivers - GT ACADEMY 2013!

GT6 will actually be called, simply, "GT Academy."

It will be a new RPG experience where you get to play as Jann, who is training to be a master driver. You will drive across different new arenas to GT such as Silverstone and Mount Panorama, "catching" cars and adding them to your collection by beating their best times. Every region will have a GT Academy winner which you must face in a sudden-death race battle. It'll be a freemium title released on Vita, iOS, and Facebook.

He wants to be the very best,
Like no one ever was.
To race them is my real test,
To beat them is my cause.
I will travel across the land,
Searching far and wide.
Each GT-R, to understand
The power that's inside.

Could someone make this an animated avatar for me?

Just made these:

I have seen this white car before. Thought it's the Honda HSC at first, but it looks different.

EDIT: I hope the GIFs aren't too big.

No one noticed that one of the manufacturers supporting the Silverstone event is KTM.

Guess that points towards a X-bow in the next release.

Edit - treed

Oh boy I love KTM and their cars, really hope there in GT6. :)

I just watched the trailer, my hype level just went off the charts. That was so cool, in some parts in the trailer it seems to go from real life and ingame you know? :D

I could be the only one who remembers, but Will Roegge said that he was filming GT Arcademy at Silverstone, and PD was also seen scanning it as well? I'm sure this is GT6 prologue.

It almost reminds me of the 2001 GT-R Concept. It could make sense because by the looks of the other posts, that car resembles GT4 in some way. And the GT-R Concept was in GT4, so it could be a modified version of it. I don't know, that's what I think :)

That's what I thought too initially but it's wider and appears to have a more mid-engined/supercar proportion.
It has some peculiar angles as well (along with having a very angular overall shape) and I don't recognize it, nor do I recall anything like it being in GT4.

The fact it's included in this trailer, suggests it has some significance, and if nobody can identify it so far, I'm almost inclined to speculate what it could imply.

Probably announcing GT:A and GT6:P would be my guess. I just don't see them having a full GT6 release this year. That Sony Exec just said GT6, which GT6:Prologue would technically be, so....I'm not expecting much after giving it more thought.

Obviously a GT6 anouncement. How could it be anything else? This big of a deal for another GTAcademy=no. With the countdown at the end, of course it is.

What about the VW W12 Nardo Concept? It seems to look very similar.

How I feel.

I believe GT5 is totally done, so I don't think Silverstone will be a DLC, but I can imagine another trailer and a console announcement/release date.

E3 2013, in my opinion, will be the showcasing of the gameplay.

Nah, the Nardo is a very low supercar. The car in the video looks taller than it. What I think is maybe a modified McLaren F1.

No it isn't, for a start the rear lights are completely different, nevermind the shape being as well.

If you enlarge this pic you'll see for example a very unfamiliar triangular shape on the front (next to the mirrors) and triangular shaped rear fenders.

Boils down to this: If it was GTA then only Nissan would be there.

The fact that it's the GT anniversary, at a track not in the game yet, with multiple manufacturers (including KTM, not in the game yet), plus the video count-up says it's the GT6 announcement.

It is most likely about both GT Academy and future GT games.

Let's start thinking of cars that have those kind of tailights:

Nissan Skyline/GT-R
McLaren F1

That's all I can think of :)

It's not something modified, it looks more like a concept car.
It looks indeed similar to the original GT-R concept, but more supercar-esque.

EDIT: Second image is a Saleen S7.

First, the car on the cover is the new NSX, look at the bumper and compare.

It's GT6 for sure, what would that last part mean if it ain't GT6?

My thoughts excatly. 👍

And KTM

First thoughts on the white car were that it was that Polish supercar, the Arrinera Hussarya, but the rear end is different:

Same with the Marussias.

Can't be the SSC Ultimate Aero, too few rear lights, or the Tuatara, completely different design.
