I really hope that includes being able to put body kits on my cars. I still wonder about how great the exteriors will look. hmm, maybe they'll look closer to the premiums. I mean, doesn't it take less time to just model the exterior of a car than doing that and the interior too?

It's the interiors that take the most time to model. I'd imagine that the exteriors take a significantly lower amount of time to complete.

-> I've browsed the list a bit. But Seattle Circuit is missing from that list:

From that NXS trailer:

are you guys all sure that all this work:

Is for photomode only?

1. The large foreground area in this picture is awfully spacious compared to our GT5 offerings.

2. In the backround we have many buildings modeled at great distance, so unless we're able to place a car on top of the opera palace for phototaking, then why model all of that?

3. This area is less than 1km away from the stunning Valencia Street Circuit.

Well we have no confirmation that it will be in GT6. It was shown in that trailer, but that never confirmed anything, just rumors really at this point. I'd like to think, since apricot hill and willow springs came true, having been just "rumored" in those teaser videos PD gave us, that Seattle too will become true :D

I echo these sentiments

I'm really excited to try out the new NSX and Huayra. If PD can get more top rate sports cars and supercars then this can become the best GT to date no questions asked.

The GT website's car list has the Jaguar XJR-9 listed twice, which may mean the standard model is still in the game.

Can't wait to see the full car list, I was super happy to catch that glimpse of the R18, so happy!

Can't wait to run it in GT6

That isn't all of the new cars. 200 new cars were stated to be in the new game and we are no where near 200. We already knew everything from Gran Turismo 5 would be making it over so that page doesn't give us new information.

No... They said 1200 cars... and they said GT5 had approx. 1000 cars... but this is wrong... without DLC, GT5 has 1033 cars, with DLC they are about 1085, I think:)

Speaking of having both versions, the Cizeta is listed as a returning car, but it was also just 'revealed' at Gamescom. I wonder if it's counted as one of the 200 new cars or not.

GT6 will have 200 new cars more than GT5. There are premium cars, but we are not going to differentiate between premium and standard cars anymore when we move on to GT6 because we aim to get rid of all the functional differences between the two. They will now have the same functions. More or less anyway.

The Tesla Model S and Deltawing aren't even on that list and they were revealed at E3, before your list was published. So no, they aren't counting the Premium Cizeta Moroder V16T in that list.

Not counting those special editions, we are up to 34 new cars whose in-game models have actually been shown:

Acura NSX Concept (NA3) '12

Ah, the "Premium" version, and the "Padding" version.

Gran Turismo 5 vanilla actually has 1031 cars and I added up every car from each dlc or update; with those it brings 1098 cars in all. Although, I may have miscalculated, because I'm looking at a website that says there's 1109cars.

Anyway, not every GT5 car is in GT6, I hit Ctl+F to find the stealth and chromline cars on the official Gran Turismo website; they're not there.

EDIT: I still don't get why PD felt the need to keep the standard variants of premium converted cars such as the Jaguar XJR-9 and Alpine A110. Unless they're going to allow a psp car import for arcade mode again, I don't see any point in keeping those.

That would be really stupid if PD wasted their time on porting premium jaguar to GT6 and yet "possibly" upgrading the standard one since there is no functional difference between them now. So, I don't see them doubling cars like this.

Two main reasons I can see:

  • The ever-important car count.
  • GTP's marketplace has some rabid, rabid collectors that make Pokemon players look casual. Even when Standard models of existing Premiums showed up in the OCD, people hunted them down, trying to find every colour. If there's a market for them...

Wow, that's just fricken silly. Of course, PD is a silly company.

EDIT: I managed to count 1164 cars total if you count the Bonus Cars (stealths, chromelines, 15th anniversary, edge camaro, & GS Camry). Without those counted, the car count is 1129.

Straight from the Gran Turismo website I have found that we will only be getting the main Willow Springs layout. This quote is the one that proves it: "Of its many layouts, the circuit we are introducing this time is the main course, the “Big Willow”."

What about the tuned variants of cars in the Concept by GT dealership in GT5 Prologue? Or the tuned car variants in GT HD? They were premiums weren't they?

Edit:found the list from the 'missing car' thread in the GT5 section:

Welcome to GTP!:gtpflag:

That's not a very good welcome greeting is it?

Btw: the corvette C2, which is standard in GT5 and is shown in the trailer of GT6 isn't confirmed to be premium or am I wrong? If it's not, then standards look pretty much the same, at least the exterior of them.

It's clearly a premium, just look at it. If standards could look that good then all 1400 cars would be the same quality.. Also, PD only uses premium cars in trailers so everything you see is premium.

I'm simply going to say that I highly doubt that they would use standards for their 15th anniversary glitter however good they look.
