I've got to admit, I've never photo shopped before - EVER!

Anyway, here's my first go at it. There is a regular GT6 "before" shot for comparison.

HOLY BALLBAGS BATMAN!

Two pictures from me in two days? Like you i have no idea why i'm all of a sudden the worlds most active photomoder but don't worry, it won't last!

Sadly for you the improved frequency of my photomode posts will leave you just as disappointed as ever as i share yet more dreadful work for you to overlook.

Well, this picture was going to be yet another minimalist shot, i do like my minimilism but for some reason i ended up experimenting with various layers of blur using different techniques.

It's a rather dreamy looking picture featuring Ayrton Senna driving a Red Bull x2014 at SSRX.

Many of you will also know i love my dreamy and rather worrying approach to my pictures so this hopefully will fit in with my GT6 gallery. You may also have noticed that this gallery has started out trying to keep away from the whole "GT Photomode" type pictures.

Now that's not to say i don't love that look, a visit to my old GT5 gallery will prove just how much i loved taking pictures of cars but having seen the work that is shared on GTP since GT6 came out i just couldn't reach the level that you lot are at...but i'll add more conventional car shots soon.

Phew....Anyway...Thanks for looking (and lauging!)

👍

From Here To Eternity
Now this was one of those pictures that looked great on the PS3 but looked terrible on my computer, we've all been there, that moment of exitement when you transfer the pictures to your computer, your head full of wonderful ideas and then it happens...FOOM! Jaggie, pixely, dull and lifeless...You find yourself in my home town of agony city!

At first i spent about 30 minutes on this picture just cleaning it up, then about another 10 minutes making it all foggy and cold looking...Then i changed my mind and just created a bright mood.

The gradient banding was so horrible on this after about 30 minutes making it look nice and bright i lost interest...so i abandoned it and this is what's left.

Usual balls from me i'm afraid!

Anyway...Thanks for looking (and lauging!)

👍

Stingray

I was watching "Kaz- Pushing the virtual divide" the other day, when they began talking about the 2014 Corvette Stingray Reveal. Impressionable as I am, an instance of brilliant photography depicting a lone Stingray driving through the desert at dusk, coupled with great music compelled me to do an artistic number on the car. By the time I was done, I felt it was worth taking it down the brochure road. The result, well, is for you to judge. :)

P.S The man in the post above me is a bit too modest. Stop kidding yourself @leeislee !

Ferrari 458 GT3 2014 24 Hours of Daytona
by Metalsun1, on Flickr

The TUDOR United SportsCar Championship is an effort to unify various series and its inaugural event was at the 2014 Rolex 24 at Daytona a few weeks ago. Wow, did it work! The cars were well balanced and there was great racing. Usually in endurance races, there is a mad dash for position for the first few hours, a long “don’t screw-up, break or hit anything” stint and the final push for the podium the last few hours. Winners usually win by laps. Not here, of the 4 racing categories, 3 were fighting it out on the final lap! Through the great effort of the Level 5 Motorsports drivers, the #555 Ferrari 458 GT3 got to the flag first. Only to be time-penalized and striped of the win because of a controversial move with the #45 Flying Lizards Motorsports Audi R8 LMS at turn 4 in the final lap. Eventually, racing trumped controversy and Level 5 Motorsports was awarded the win three hours later in the GTD category. The first Ferrari win at Daytona in 16 years.
UPDATE: After Level 5 retired from the Tudor Championship, drivers Bill Sweedler and Townsend Bell moved to and raced the 555 for AIM Autosport. So, this past weekend in the 2014 Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring, they got a 2nd place podium finish. This time, 6 cars in the lead lap for GTD!
Update 2: After 8 races into the series the #555 AIM Autosport (now with a modified livery) still leads in in the GTD championship by 2 points.
