Here is an updated version of my event selection screen, I've tried to make it more clean and organized than the previous one, switch between events using L1/R1 and move the cursor to select an action, the actions are the following: Course Selection, Watch Race, Event Description and Add event to favorites. the list of events is a bit random so don't pay much attention to the descriptions:
and here are some alternate designs, there are a lot more of them, but I didn't saved them all and if I upload everything I have it would take a lot of time, but all of them are pretty much the same, just some minor differences, most of them are unfinished so there are lots of mistakes:

this was my original song choice for this particular "event," but is a band from here (Argentina) so I tought it might not be of everyone's taste, but I think it's a perfect fit since I can really picture myself running trough a highway at night while this song plays in my head

Hi guys, i wanted to post something as well. As such, here is my relatively clean design:
I have also added some new features: firstly the idea of an online ranking system which can be easier for lobbies and for matchmaking if it is a random online race; as well as the photography ranking mode where you send photos which get upvoted or downvoted and this gains xp which can be used for certain cars etc.

@Grandea GTR your time feature is interesting with upgrades taking a set amount of time. Do I risk a race with an underpowered car or upgrade and miss out?
I would change your money icon at the bottom though. One of them would clean it up instead of those 5.

In that case, somthing like we have now would be enough. A simple icon indicating the consecutive days the playes has loged in. I adopted that idea myself when I did my UI stuff.
