Gran Turismo 7 and GT Sport User Interface Fan Art

Sunday Cup event mode menu. The logo for the event is the same, this is intentional as it is mostly to showcase my UI not logos. I mostly used Helvetica Neue for the font. The UI is inspired by GT3, as I believe GT3, along with GT5, has the best interface of the older games.

I like the arcade style of GT1 and GT2, the simplicity of GT3, how classic GT4 was, and contrast of items in GT5, I wish they're was something in GT6 I liked besides the background

Okay, I'll be honest with this one.

No offense to you, @GTHuayra, but if that was the UI for the Sunday Cup in GTS, I'd be rather upset. For starters, it seems like you took almost everything from GT5 (the logos, events, etc). Not really a fan of the font choice (it looks very basic, and lacks color), and how the entry requirements are centered.

Let's try and make a UI that's original, and not taking things from GT5, shall we? Because many of your former UI's are just like this one, taking almost everything from a previous GT game.

License centre ideas. Just to give you an idea, those are the five main international FIA licenses. You'd have national licenses first. The idea though would be you'd achieve them in the same way you do in reality, with experience and good performances in lower categories, not by completing 0-1000m braking tests or going round two corners in under 23.7 seconds.

As I said before so many times, LOGOS DO NOT MATTER! I was focused on the UI only. And the font is Helvetica Neue, which quite a lot people used/are using in this thread. Thank you.

Logos are very much a key part of a UI. Obviously we can't create everything from scratch but you can't just paste in most of the screen from another UI either. Photographs and key logos (The GT one, PD, FIA, Tracks, Manufacturers etc) are all you should be importing. Nothing that is unique from another UI.

Logos matter more than you think. Some people are illiterate and have to rely on images to get an idea of what's what. On top of that, they can make the overall UI more pleasing to look at.

As for the Sunday Cup UI, don't half-ass the images...And your track images on the bottom aren't evenly spaced.

I love it's design but (in my opinion) it seems a little dull (tiny bit), probably because of the grey

I get what you're saying, I made the background darker to give a nice contrast with the brighter images. I guess I could bring the colour out a little more though.

Also I'm still working on the premise these would be video backgrounds, which would liven it up a bit more as well I think. In this one the idea is that the camera would remain fixed but cars would be passing up the straight, right by the camera.

That's cool, thanks for the explanation

As @Obelisk says two of those are very hard to read because of the headlights. There is also the same issue that older GT games had, it looks like a UI designed for a mouse or touch input but you've only got a controller. That generally leads to unexpected and frustrating movements of the cursor trying to get to the one you want. For example if you're on Licenses and press right, do you land on options or course maker?

Try to keep everything on a square grid, would be my advice with clear L/R/U/D movements, no diagonals.
