How’d this turn out?
Pretty good. Results vary I start at the back and park the car, while letting the AI sort out the race. Only testEd five laps at Brands Hatch Indy, Miyabi and Road Atlanta. 1x fuel/tyre, no damage, Flags off.

Placing the Civics side by side, P1 Civic holds the lead and P3 GTAm gives chase all race. Depends if the front pack usually 3-5 cars bang each other for position. The cars behind bunch up and slow, but a middle pack race each other switching positions just about each lap. They really go at it.

Anyway, one of the Civics wins with a GTAm just behind. Half a second all race. Trying to pass as well.
With the Civics starting mid-pack, it’s just battles from first to last.

As far as set ups, the Gr.4 M4 is one of the slowest Gr.4 cars at full power(PP 627). I just adjusted power to 351BHP(PP 611) as it has a weight handicap already. The Alfas are at 298BHP/1169kg(PP 622.80). Both Civics(widebody) at 300BHP/1169kg(627.31). The Civic is only .3 slower in acceleration from 0-1000m. Normal M4 road car is same as Alfa with PP 622.

I liked the test, but I’m back onto my GT4 European Series.

Testing out supercars again. The best balance is the mustang group 4 + high end superchager and racing gearbox vs camaro 18' zl1 widebody full suspension and brakes, RH tyres and other non engine mods, and tuned down to around 470-490hp depending if AI car or your car. Not completely locked in but getting close.

Not to be a huge pain in your butt, but when you have time could you post the grid and specs of the cars for your European GT4 series? Thanks for all the info!!!

No prob. I use the manufacturers below, two cars each for a total of 18. Adding one Z and one Mustang. Some specs from the site and googling the manufacturer’s website.

BoP is off during my races, as the road cars are a good match for the race cars. When fuel is multiplied, the Cayman is the most superior car on the grid.

This is fantastic! Thank you for the detailed information!

Ran a 10-lap custom race at Spa with the Group C cars. Running the 787B, took the lead on lap 6, then trying for some hero laps, I made a few blunders. I fell back to 9th. I got the lead back on the last lap and won by 2 seconds.
Great inspiration, I have collected x6 gr4 Mustangs - x6 gr4 Mazda and x6 Gr4 Genesis - covered them in V8supercar livery and set up an 18 car grid at Bathurst on professional difficulty - randomised weather - 90 mins endurance race with tyre and fuel on making 4-5 lap pit stops mandatory. Its my go to race and with all of the settings on I earn approx £150k which puts a bit back in coffas.

Ahhhh, apparently I am a total idiot. For the life of me I cannot figure out to post one of my replays. I have never posted one obviously. I was trying out the new Alfa and had a mix of cars all custom liveries and it looked good so I saved the replay but cannot figure out how to post it on YouTube or here. Any easy guides for an old gamer.

Make sure it's linked from your Playstation to your YouTube account. You can then edit the length of the video on your Playstation and then save it. Next Share it to your YouTube channel. Once in YouTube, copy the link of your video and past it in your post.

1st Annual 2022 NW-Classic! .. vs. my garage dawgs.. Porsche Edition!

So I finally decided to break out my RUF & run against "my own".. the cars I bought, won, built/tuned, customized, just to see how i'd fare against them.. All my cars are BB's (Black Beauties), I run at Intermediate level, PS4 Dual Shock controller, 58 y/o yesterday, not the fastest driver in the world by any means, but I absolutely love this game!.. a couple scuffs here and there, but I tried to keep it as clean as I could.. SO, here it is, my 1st online CR..

The Field: & of course, i'm last.. smh.. not for long tho'.. LoL!

That RUF is my Euro mf'er! & my #1 ride overall.. i'll take it to battle All-Day-Long!!!!

Quick question I did asked it once but couldn't find answer.

Do I need to own rain/intermidiate tyres for all AI cars? Will they change them when it will start raining?

Can someone explain this to me?

I'm trying to get into custom racing now that I have the c8r replica but this happened.

It was a multi-class race with gr1,gr3,gr4 and my c8 is tune to 720pp so to stay with the gr3 cars but around the 4th or 5th lap the p1 cars started to go super slow I even passed 2 of them on the straight and the 3rd one pitted around lap 8 with still 85% fuel left it was like the ai didn't know what they were doing with those p1 cars so weird.

How do you fix this? I wanna win my class not out ran 3 p1 hybrids.

What are your settings?

Boost should be set to Weak, as that keeps the AI from trailing too far behind and keeps the faster cars ahead.

Ok I turn this so call boost thing to weak and it kept the p1s in the front I even got the blue flag to let them pass.

I still find it a little silly that you need to turn this boost thing on for p1 cars to stay in front of gte/gt3 cars.

Pcars 2 really was something special when it comes to mutli-class racing.

Overall I love my c8r replica 😍

We just don't know the reasoning for the AI setting choices. The Chilli settings should be available for everything. Boost should be for players having a hard time keeping up with default AI. We see they're not going to do a slider.

It is weird, but it does work...

Setting the boost on weak in custom races yields the best AI I have experienced in this game so far on a constant level...instead of giving up once you have passed an AI car, the stay close behind and fight back whenever you make a little mistake and give them a chance to do so...trying to drive as clean as possible also helps, to get a good AI experience in custom races(...knowing well, that the AI sometimes doesn't really drive "clean" at all)

AI make mistakes too. Love the. For it. Done about five tests at Goodwood and AI try to be a bit brave at spots. We know they brake too late at times. AI Just nipping the edge of the track gets me a couple spots as well(I’m in the silver Renault). ;)

S40 hitting the final Kerbs too hard and the Mondeo trying to grab P1.

Made a custom race grid inspired by PGR4 with the following cars:

Mercedes-Benz CLK-LM with about 2300 lbs as the car is a total slug in corners with the maximum weight.
McLaren F1 GTR 1995 as F1 LM with turbo upgrades
Ferrari Enzo fully tuned as Ferrari FXX
Aston Martin DBR9
Murcielago as Murcielago RGT fully upgraded
McLaren F1 GTR 1997 as a filler car with the same settings as the CLK-LM
Diablo GTR as a filler car, will be replaced by a RUF CTR3 or unlivered Corvette C6R as it was far too slow.

The RGT and F1 LM gave me a pretty tense challenge while the FXX and RGT were far faster on the straights. The grid made me realize that outside of Tokyo we do not have enough city tracks. On the first test run of the race the DBR9 was far too fast and had to be tuned back to stock as on PGR4 the car was very slow compared to any of the other cars in the class despite being quite competitive in real life.

I plan on doing a second grid based on the B Class from PGR3 with the following cars:
Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 as Murcielago '02
Ferrari Enzo x2
Carerra GT *This wasn't in the game but it's period correct
Mercedes-Benz McLaren SLR
Porsche 997 in the place of a RUF RGT8
Lamborghini Murcielago LP640
Lamborghini Diablo GT

Ran the Class A grid with updated tunes for the CLK-LM and F1 GTR to make them more balanced, the F1 LM gave me the hardest challenge up until about lap 4 where I finally passed it but not before being passed by the FXX.

Last couple races, AI been very good. No shenanigans, but some hard racing. Changed from one of the Renaults to a “Ford”. Last lap, it’s gotten dark and missed my marks. An “Audi” catches up and passes me, last couple corners. It braked early at the final corner. I hit it and we keep going. It then brake checks me like a human! Right at the mid-corner. No problem all race until that moment. I think the AI was salty I held my position, at the start of the race.

Same race from the replay cameras.

Excellent. Is cockpit view your usual mode?
Yes. Since the first ToCA game. That game captured the bumper to bumper racing of the real BTCC. They sat so low and couldn’t see the front of the car. Project Cars and Assetto Corsa AI, allow me to experience that same bumper to bumper racing feeling. With these cars set up, it’s actually giving me that feeling. Probably due to these Gr.4 better brakes and downforce programming/physics.
The JTCC cars I run, also give me that feeling.

Outstanding. Love Monza.

You did a great job with that series.

Thank you. Next, I‘m looking at the 996 and 997 Porsches for Porsche Super Cup. Love cars with standard roll cages. Did a basic tune for the 964.

Had these cars as a suggestion back in GT Sport. For GT7, Racing suspension, slicks, weight reduction and gearbox, are just about all that’s needed. Not relatively expensive to replicate.

Just had the best race in gt7.

8 laps Monza Gr3, Gr4 Grid fuel x2 tires x3, Boost weak.

Started both my c8r 1st and 2nd because I'm in the yellow and the ai has the silver sadly the butt head ai goes off in the first comer.:banghead: Anywho for the rest of the race is just me holding off the rest of the gr3 cars by no more then 2 seconds until the middle of lap 7 that's when the viper started to reel me in thankfully even if my c8r is just a replica and not a full race car I was able to hold the viper off. I can tell you this if pd ever adds the real c8r I'm gonna drive the :redflag: out of it. :embarrassed:

And a video of the middle of lap 7 till the end.

Not only am I working on an IMSA WeatherTech grid, I'm also putting together a Michelin Pilot one (cause why not!). Using the Gr 4 cars, I'm having GS at 700pp and TCR at 630pp. Problem is that there are hardly any TCR liveries out there, so gonna have to get creative...
