Before the update goes live, do the swapped/normal engine prices relate to the new engine prices in the understeer shop?
If I'm understanding the question correctly, the answer is that swapping an engine will cause the prices and availability of engine parts in the Tuning Shop (but not the oil change or engine overhaul in GT Auto) to switch to those of the donor car. To use the Supra-swapped Yaris as an example:
  • The unmodified Yaris has a Bore Up available for 5,000 Cr., High Lift Cam Shaft for 5,000 Cr., no Stroke Up, and a new engine price of 36,500 Cr. (half its price of 73,000 Cr.).
  • The Supra-swapped Yaris has a Bore up available for 6,100 Cr., High Lift Cam Shaft for 5,800 Cr. Stroke Up for 27,500 Cr., and a new engine price of 110,000 Cr. (half the zero-mile cost of the 1997 Supra RZ, which is 220,000 Cr.). The other engine-related upgrade prices are also reflective of the Supra's prices rather than the Yaris' prices.

So I guess lots of work for the community now to collate all the prices for swaps as well as any new ones!

Excitiiiiiing

Right. That 110,000 Cr. doesn’t change regardless of Supra or Yaris. Just wanted to check before the update. If the price changes In GT Auto(as we see in the EK9 swap photo), I wonder if that changes Appraisal estimates as well. Lots going on this update.

Update is live in Canada, about to fire up the PS5...nevermnd, still under maintenance lol, it's been awhile..

I think it would be best if you update the 1st post with all the cars that have swaps, but also leave the 'which engine goes in which car' part, IF we still get engine tickets.
But maybe work with spoilers so the post doesn't get too big.

What you saw in that EK9 swap photo is what it's going to cost to purchase an EK9 to swap into the older Civic, which is done from GT Auto instead of the Tuning Garage. Assuming that is the final price, that will represent a 100,000-Cr. premium over what it would cost to replace the EK9 in the Tuning Garage, whether it was in the newer Civic or the older one.

In the case of the Supra-to-Yaris swap, to make the swap should be 210,000 Cr., but don't hold me to that. Once the swap is made, replacing the engine via the Tuning Garage should still be 110,000 Cr.

Late edit - Memo to self - check the swap prices of the 1998 Civic and 1965 Mini as those two cars are of different parts price tiers, but share the same engine swap, as well as whether the Supra engine swap has a different price premium than the 2020 Civic swap as those two donor cars are of different parts price tiers.

Not to mention that the prices of the swaps from cars that are in Hagerty's will (likely) change when the price of the donor car changes.

Delete inadvertent double-post - got fooled (again) by the "replies have been made" pop-up.

Still curious to see if they added any "new swaps" or just made them all available-
Still not advertising any new additions in patch notes yet, so we will still have to discover new additions from the community each update?

Swing by gt auto 1nce a month now rather than garage tuning parts-;

The good news is that swinging by GT Auto to check, what are we down to, 330 cars that don't have swaps, is a lot easier than hoping to find all the new ones, and then wading through the the parts bin in the garage while in those 330 cars to see if they either fit new engines or freshly fit existing engines.

By the way thank you for the work you put in here. Not sure anyone ever tells you that.

No swap for the R32 NISMO

Thanks in part to @Snake55wildcat, the established cost of buying an engine swap is a flat 100,000 Cr. more than the New Engine cost in the Tuning Shop (or Recommended Retail Price for donors for which new engines cannot be bought) of the donor car. Not so good for something like the K20 from the 2020 Honda Civic, but surprisingly cheap for something like the RB26B from the Mazda 787B.
