Gran Turismo 7 Engine Swap Compatibility

I'm having a really hard time getting some of these cars under control (lol). Like my 600 hp GTR engine 300ZX, come on now. A mild turn at 150 mph, while on RH, shouldn't result in the car instantly spinning out. Sigh.
Some cars are very glitchy with certain parts, especially swaps. It will sound very far fetched, but you could try changing settings between flywheels, ALS and carbon/OEM shaft. In some cars those affect the stability result, sometimes just in numbers and other times also o n track.

Another thing that's not so obvious is to mount smaller sized wheels.

The GT7 Tuning calculator is also very helpful!

Thank you for providing this type of info regularly.
It's really useful and very welcome 👍
Isn't there a thread for ucd updates and hagerty cycles?
Haven't been on in a while, I usually only visit here after monthy maintenance for "NEW" finds, but now that they're purchasable, it's gonna be easier to find the new ones since you basically hop in a "street" car that hasn't been swapped yet and see if gt auto will yeet" an engine in for you.

Tis' nice to have a few overstock from bonanza, but the update basically took out the need for daily mileage rng' just for a chance at the golden items. Every one is happy for most part, (other than the sub par lobbies and online play)

Now we can grind monthly instead of daily-

Seems to be dificult for you to understand the concept of thread overlapping
No, I get it. It just happens on literally almost every thread here. They either become wish lists, complaining about the DRM, or reporting what's in the UCD/LCD.

If I get the @Doncarlone posts correctly, he does not just report, what is currently available in ucd or lcd.

No wish list, no complaining (at least from his side), nothing fictional, just info content, which is useful in the scope of the title of this thread.

He imo just reports the availability of these cars, appearing in the UCD, which fulfill the requirements concerning Gran Turismo 7 Engine Swap Compatibility.

This meets exactly the thread imo and is a very useful information for those of us, trying to collect the cars for the swaps. Of course everybody of us could compare the data of the table of page 1 to the UCD every day. But why?
Thanks to @Doncarlone for doing this for all of us.

Regards
M

It’s thread clutter. Imagine I’m a casual gamer and want to find out what motor swap I can put in the car. I google it. 800 results, or whatever. I want one answer. And that is found in the original post, not the other 799 I had to skim through to find it and say to myself, GTP is a mess to search through.

The Mini takes the Honda K20…

Because there is a link that shows all of this information and more that gets updated real time and doesn’t require a new post every day. Just save/bookmark/favorite the link and check it daily when they update, no need to run up the post count of the thread with clutter.

And, this site that is linked indicates right on the page when a car is capable of taking an engine swap.

Every single swap possible is listed (and updated promptly) in the very first post. How is this difficult to seek out? If you Google GT7 Engine swap, this thread is the VERY FIRST result. And it will navigate to P1. Doesn't get much easier than that.

It’s not difficult. But there doesn’t need to be constant posts about nothing that has changed since we all know because the first post says it right there. Motor swap thread, right? What fits in what?

Unless you’re on the Google advertising team…

A few of my experiences with engine swaps:
Cooper /Civic engine: great for annihilating the Goodwood race early game for cash.
DeLorean w/ Rampage engine: highly underrated, very fast car but requires most assists to be on.
Cappuccino w/13B: Good for getting in under PP limits, but the car is not stable. Again, it's lightning fast.
RX-7 Spirit w/26B: finesse is the name of this game. It can win the Tokyo race without stopping, but that engine needs rear down force thatno road car has.
Mazda 3 w/26B: Complete waste of the engine. Kills the front tires and understeers even worse when they die.
Trans Am (I forget the engine): Game changer with a manual transmission. Shift around 4,000 RPM, the fuel economy and torque are great.
RX8 Spirit w/26B: More of the same, really. Easier to control than the RX-7 but slower. Doesn't suck like the Mazda 3.
Volkswagen 1200. Oh, I dare say this is the Peyton car with the Porsche engine and the Douglas car without it. Love Bug livery is mandatory. Loads of fun to stand it on the back bumper in a drag race. lol, this car, the winner??LOL! Assists are needed but it can win the LeMans 700pp event.
Side note, notice how all the Gr. 3 Beetles have a number 53 on them? I wonder why...
Sambabus: Luke Ordonez's AI is crazy...

It’s the first result when YOU google it.

Google is very personalised and the results differ for each user :)

Their point of it being hard to find is correct for them.

Personalization is just one factor of how Google orders search results for any given search. Google will always try to, and is usually very successful in providing the most accurate, most ”trusted”, highest quality results first. Usually language and location are much bigger factors than previous search results from a given user/device.
Unless Google has recently changed how they prioritize factors and give results when searching?

GTPlanet is #1 in my Google search results for “GT7 engine swap”, this thread being #2 behind the article for GTPlanets GT7 best engine swaps.

So, after a page complaining about perceived clutter, ironically cluttering the thread more, it's time to draw a line.

@Doncarlone is only posting engine swap recipient cars when they are available in the UCD. That seems thread-appropriate to me - and we don't have a dedicated UCD-tracking thread that I'm aware of off the top of my head.

Anyone who comes to this thread to find what swaps are possible can find all the swaps detailed by clicking the "1" that appears top-left and bottom-left of every page in the thread.

I'm collecting engine swaps.
When an engine swapable car comes to the ucd and lcd, I notify people. Just that.
I didnt even know there was another thread doing it. That said, its great there is a site covering this, you should go there.
There are times when overlapping is unavoidable.

Suzuki cappuccino '91
Corvette C3 Stingray '69 on the ucd

Thank you. Keep doing what you do. I'm sure many forum members find this helpful, including me :)

Makes no sense but ok, carry on...
🤣
When an engine swappable car comes to the ucd, I notify people. Just that. This is both helpful and thread appropriate.
There are times when overlapping is unavoidable, like when a car exists in both UCD and BC.

I’m just helping people that don’t want to use the link that shows what’s in UCD and LCD, how much time each car has left there and how much it costs.

If some people consider this help “clutter” then so be it. It has already been established that this type of post is thread appropriate and helpful, not clutter.

Yeah. The inclusion of post-2001 cars in UCD is ridiculous and stupid. Their inclusion in that dealership is the definition of clutter. It makes no sense to buy any of them in the UCD.
The UCD discount's pretty worth it on some of the more expensive cars, like the CTR3 and SLR. The rest are pretty cluttery, yeah.

Honda nsx '92 (very good engine swap)
and toyota supra '97 on the ucd
Ford roadster on the lcd (yes its back finally!!! Go get it before you have to wait another year)

Yaaay! I know the engines can be bought anytime now (if you have collection level 50), but getting a 1.6M worth engine in the daily roulette is still rewarding.

And just in time, there's an R33 GT-R in the UCD to plant it into. So I'll leave my cafe prize R33 to be an untouched time capsule.
