Gran Turismo 7: Frequently Asked Questions

I occasionally use my PC to browse the Gran Turismo 7 'my page' area and look at and upload decals to 'my collection'. I seem to have run in to a problem. The list appears limited to 100 decals per subject - you cannot "turn the page", so to speak, and browse a larger list. Is there something I have missed?

Has anyone ever had this message appear, does it delete save data on the other version etc?

Maybe my question got lost: so again. Does anybody find a "quick-tunning" option? It is super annoying, when I want to join an online race, and my car does not fit 100% the regulation. In former GT games, I could click on the certain problem (pp to low/high, wrong tyres, etc.) and got the quick-tunning possibility to tune my car fast with the needed part. The effect would be the same if would take the "classic" way, and leave the sport/online modus (long loading times included) go to the Tunning shop, look for the party, shoose them, click many times here and there, coming back to the online race session, just realisde, that the rarc starts just bevor I arived.

Besides rain and day/night, are there any other weather components, like other types of precipitation (ice pellets, snow, hail and so on), winds, and phenomenons like sandstorms? I remember that snow could fall on SSR7 in GT5-6

Does anyone know what voids the Clean Race Bonus? I've had races where I spun completely off track, wiped out the AI cars, smashed Barry. R hard and still got it, but other races where I kept calm and patient and minimally touch the brain dead AI (or if THEY hit ME), I'm completely baffled. Seems almost like RNG to me whether I get CRB or not.

I purchased the digital 25th anniversary PS5 edition, but only one of the 4 cars are in my garage. I've already played the game for a couple of hours, and received 3 of the licenses. I have already bought a few cars from the used car shop, and still nothing. Any Idea when my credits will all be in my garage?

When doing the track guide things at each track and in the license tests I do not load any ghost before trying it out but as soon as I'm on the track and going there's the ghost, and after I had done an attempt, my ghost shows up to join the fun.
Why is the game ghost showing automatically?

Edit: I found out on my own accidentally there is a ghost setting to turn on and off the "demo ghost"

When did you buy the game?If you didnt preorder then there is only 1 car,the Yaris. The other 3 cars are preorder bonus content. The credits should drop during the game, mine did,but a few people seem to have had issues getting them.

Today i noticed something weird when turning the wheel, this happens on mostly U turns like the one in Deep Forest after heavy braking, it seems like the wheel locks way before than it should, the little red dot on the bottom stops midway and suddenly goes all the way to the left (in case on that turn). In cockpit cam i can also see the animation only going half way and out of suddenly is full lock.

I googled a bit about this and it seems related to wide body kit and ride height, and the wheels touching the body kit preventing them from turning and when the car weight is stable the wheels are not touching anymore and it turns what was left.

Is this accurate? I've seen some other post n here about this but there was no confirmation that this was the reason behind it.

Does ''Let's Go Carbon Neutral! - Bought an electric car.'' trophy get unlocked with hybrid car too or it has to be electric only?

I had that happen last night with my 'new' R32 GT-R with wide body & low ride height.

I wasn't sure what was happening and if it was a bug, sounds like it's intentional

Time to raise my front ride height a bit I think!

It looks like 100mm is fine for most cars.

There's this post in the tuning page with a nice video about it.

Hi everyone, I don't know if it has already been asked but we know nothing if in the creation of the online lobby there will be the possibility as in other simulators to have more than 16 pilots?
And I wonder to broadcast live streaming how we have done the races up to now, do you have to sacrifice one of the 16 drivers? in project cars 2 this gave the possibility to add two places for direction and commentary.
thank you

Is the first car invitation at brands central the same for everyone? Mine is the Veyron, but I know some people already have the Carrera GT.

Mine was from Ferrari. Maybe because I purchased one used?

Back in PS3 days (GT5 and/or GT6), it was possible to race against friends with the option of "Collisions OFF" (ghosting when near each other). That option was removed in GT Sport.

Is "Collisions OFF" in Lobby back in GT7?

(I ask because this feature added a fun mode of gameplay which a mate and I really enjoyed. The objective was to achieve very, very close finishes, preferably using cars with very different handling characteristics.)

Hi guys,

New on the forum and on GT7 & the PS5, so hopefully this is the right place to ask my question!

I've noticed some discrepancies with the visuals that, to be honest, do make the experience less enjoyable. I'm attaching a screenshot to underline what I mean:

Gran Turismo™ 7_20220311183206.jpg

Looking at the clock in the cockpit of the 997 GT3, you can see a lack of detail in the rendering of the dashboard clock; i.e., the ring shows dents / is not sufficiently smooth or circular. This happens in certain other cars, but some cockpits seem to be better rendered that others.

Is this down to my setup? I'm currently playing on PS5 and on a 1080p TV unfortunately. Can this be corrected by upgrading to a better, 4K TV?

Thank you,
Nis

Mine was for a Huayra, but it’s been replaced by an Aston Martin one (I’ve not went in to see what exactly it’s for though)

@Nis, I suspect that you'll find that an interior view of a replay of the same race will look better, and that what's happening is that render quality is being sacrificed during a race to keep the frame rate up while also handling the physics of possibly multiple cars in real time.

I just tried photographing the instruments of a 21st century Mini from a replay, and it looks amazing, even when zoomed in on just the tachometer.

I can't tell you what the instrument detail looked like during the race. I was too busy.

EDIT: I'm on a PS4 Pro with a 4K HDR OLED TV

Many thanks mate, it makes sense. And yes, the rendering is much better during replays or when perusing cars in the garage.

Do you think Polyphony would release an upgrade patch at some point that can take the rendering up a notch on PS5?

I have also noticed the instrument cluster on the Genesis G70 (road car) has a poor resolution too (PS5), the Genesis G70 is 2022 model year too so it is odd PD have it looking so low res.
