And it ain't the first time either, remember this?

The Genesis eventually materialized on GT6, which is a year AFTER the article was published.

There's also talks about the 2012 Prius apr GT300 being scanned and recorded, but I'm speculating that the sound file of said car was heavily tweaked and being used for one of the many fictional Gr.3's debuting in GTS.
There's also the Playstation sponsored 911 GT2: https://www.ultimatecarpage.com/chassis/4204/Porsche-911-GT2-R-WP0ZZZ99ZTS394074.html

I just won an Enzo Ferrari from my daily roulette ticket. I think that is the most expensive prize I've recieved so far. Unfortunately for me, I had just bought a second Enzo Ferrari in December when I got another Ferrari invitation.

I Remember in the PS3 era interviews kaz talking about the fact that Cars are made in a quality that PS3 can' t handle, and Will be usable in the future without the need to remake them from scratch, now he Is telling us that Cars are made from scratch, not sense really.
I don't t understand why all the premium Cars of PS3 era are not in GT7 if they were ready 10 years ago
Didn't they use some gt6 premium models in gt sport?Maybe i'm misremembering but while it may sound nonsensical i think it's the right thing to do.As devs they have to be prepared for reusing the model they worked with but they also can't stagnate themselves if they discover new techniques for car modelling. It's an awkward situation but i don't see another solution.

But I'm sure they can improve the make/models of each car/vehicle. It is possible they can bring more liveries/designs to the game. The lobbies are annoying though cause sometimes we'll be racing and the connection will kick out. It's preventing me from going there often.

Then they'd show up, people would enjoy them, and stop talking about them not being in-game?

A silly question to ask.
But people are already dismissing their chances based on their time of scanning. I'd think it would be MORE possible for them to appear in the game, than not...

I mean, what if all these scanned cars show up?
Sure, they might show up. And we might all see a cow leaping over the moon tomorrow.

But, as a general rule, I don't trust any posts or articles claiming a car is being scanned into GT, unless it's coming from PD themselves. Anyone can say their car's being scanned, and then throw up a generic CAD model that has nothing to do with how PD model their cars (see: Avantime guy).

And even then, sometimes PD or Kaz will say a car is coming, and then never add it in (see: 208 T16, Model 3).

I wonder what the deal is with this one. Are they waiting to bundle it in with Pikes Peak? Can they not add any more Teslas because of all the drama surrounding Elon? It's all a mystery to me.
I think they're waiting to add it with Pikes Peak. We know they have unreleased Pikes Peaks scapes that we've seen in screenshots from PD, Dai Yoshihara's Model 3 is confirmed to be coming in a future update, the Escudo made a return, the VW I.D. R came to the game (although it's the Nurburgring version only for now), and PD hold the exclusive Pikes Peak license. It all points toward the track coming at some point.

Why wait to release the Tesla with Pikes Peak? The Escudo was the perfect update for it.
Maybe neither are ready yet. We don't know when they started the modeling process on the Model 3, it's possible they only scanned it the same day they filmed the promotional video with Dai. Pikes Peak is also a long track, similar in length to the Nordschleife, so it's going to take a long time to model accurately.

I'm saying, there's no magic content that guarantees updates correlate. Getting the Skyline Super Silhouette and no Japanese track, like Sugo or Motegi.
Sure, I don't know how long it takes to model that type of course, but they've had since 2017 or slightly before, once GT Sport was completed. Five years wouldn't be enough?

Who knows (besides PD) why Pikes Peak still hasn't appeared. Maybe they ran into technical difficulties getting the track to run on PS4, since GT7 is cross-gen they can't release the track yet until they either stop support for GT7 PS4 or until the next GT game.

I've not looked at the track recently, but from what I recall in pics, its just asphalt and trees. No dirt. Okay bigger draw distances than the top of Mount Panorama through Skyline, but I don't think there are any obstacles that would slow down the modelling process.

Its long track with quite dense environement. In some of his intervies Kaz suggested that city tracks are just too time consuming and they can in same time makes 4 „normals”, pikes of course is not city track but for sure more time consuming than for example Road Atlanta.

Scanning a car is just only the first part. There's more into it such as modeling the car from the inside out using the car that was scanned, implementing it in the game engine and with the graphics, as well as adding in the sounds, real-world data (specifications), physics and even customization options, then quality control before it's actually released.

Then again, Kaz says it takes nine months for one car to be completed from scratch (built in-house), so theoretically, if that BMW was scanned just now, it will likely be done by October and will await release shortly after.

To be fair they pushed the last update early because they were most likely heading into the xmas break as we all were.

I assume they will pick up the pre December update pattern from now on again.

Aka silhouettes this Sunday.

Our last Hope for a proper single player career mode Is Forza Motorsport, Poliphony After 9 months that are Reading player feedback they did absolutely nothing

Is it? Forza 7 wasn't great in that to be honest. I also looking forward for new Forza but don't act like this is all hope and best racing game ever, Turn 10 also did lost their trust.

This is super disappointing. GT’s original circuits have been environmentally disappointing since GT5. There’s no density to the trackside environment, the locales are boring to drive through. Compare the feel of Trial Mountain to something like St Croix. Just so dull by comparison.

It just feels like PD want to do what’s easiest for them.
