It's not so much when the LFA drops. It's what car gets that V10 swap. 👀
Throwback to Shift 2 and the 1300 HP LFA-swapped Supra
At this point I don't care for the LFA anymore if they can't make the game interesting again.
Shuffle Mode and seasonal events will bring back a ton of players if they get added. But I doubt they will return.

What's this you want events that are seasonal, pay nicely, and actually try to rectify the horrid game economy? Nah that's not want you want. You want 3 new cars, and scapes! :sly:

Speaking of shiftneed for speed; I was doing yesterday the silvia sister menu and one race is in deep forest in the evening/night. This reminded me of the older need for speed games (3,4 and to some degree porsche).

I’d love a Mount Haruna downhill/uphill point to point, or an inspired original track. Same with the Wangan line, perhaps as SSR7 or a new Tokyo Expressway route (would probably be this since Special Stage 5/7 has been dropped/replaced in favour of Tokyo Expressway).

Totally not because I’m on a Wangan Midnight kick :P

But for real, a mountain course would be awesome online. I saw a YouTuber do a tournament on Mount Haruna in Assetto Corsa with drift AE86s, and it was great. Super tense.
I would welcome a mountain course very much. Loved the fictional Fujimi Kaido in Forza. Something like Haruna or Hakone would be a nice option. Gunma would be cool too, to relive the Best Motoring togue runs.

We can only hope that we have the lengthy Super Formula races we used to have in GT Sport (or heaven forbid, a championship of events) where we can see more of this stuff

I am expecting a big content update when forza 8 is released. Dunno if its gonna be free or paid content, but not doubt they have to do something.
Nothing pushes content more than a competitor releasing something new. I played WOW for many years and they always timed their updates to the releases from rival MMO's
I expect at minimum a new track and a, bigger than usual, selection of new dlc cars.
At minimum meaning they really should do more than that.

If I’m honest I don’t think PD really cares about Forza. I suspect it’ll be just a regular update!

It's not the first time Forza has something big to release when PD has an on-going game and I don't remember PD ever doing anything about it

What is that big?? The ray tracing in game thst we don't know whst is being sacrified to have it yet (probably physics)?? Otherwise I haven't seen anything big yet🤔🤔

Physics are more CPU side of things... Ray Tracing is definately GPU. I bet that sooner we will see less cars on grid (16? 12?) then physics downgrade.

I’m still waiting for PD to utilise their collected track surface data, instead of tyre multipliers. Only multiplier needed, are for time. Speed the time up and that gives you fuel and tyre wear. A track having a smooth or abrasive surfac, mixed with time of day and weather/season, give all the factors needed for players to make strategy decisions.

Similar to how Live Track works in PC2. PD have the data and players would only need to know Time of day, time multiplier(when applicable) and track surface as abrasive or smooth. Assetto Corsa has a track setting of fast, slow or green(clean) surface. PD utilise the gathering of marbles off the optimum racing line. I’m sure they have the data to add more detail to characteristics of tracks.

Well, PD still don’t translate the contact of tyre to road surface properly. I mean, it’s enough for a novice player, but it should be better for as long as the franchise been around.

Ultimately we don't have enough info on FM to know what, if anything, is being sacrificed. Obviously the feeling among the GT fan crowd is that something absolutely has to have been sacrificed to achieve 4k60+RT in gameplay, because GT7 can't do it.

Remember, FM is being developed solely for next gen, it's a title that will be able to use all available power. Something GT7 should have done by dropped older consoles and committing to the PS5, PD and the PS5 are capable of doing 4k60+RT in gameplay, they just couldn't because of the choice to release the game on near decade old hardware (in my opinion, not a hard fact). FM on the other hand is being developed for the XSX first and foremost, it'll be interesting to see how it scales to the XSS more than anything. I still fully expect to see 24 car grids and more advanced car physics than FM7. Especially if they lean more into the Motorsport aspect of the name.

All the driving physics in GT7 are constrained to being able to run on a near decade old CPU of the base PS4 which was already weak at the time of release. FM should have a physics advantage since there is a new, strong CPU that they can solely target. As for 4k60fps, a lot of studios say their game runs at 4k, but it uses some sort of upscaling method to achieve that. We won't know until FM launches, but I doubt it will be native 4k.

Honestly years ago everyone here was quite sure also to see at least 24/32 cars on the grid. Result? We are stuck at 20 oflline and 16 SIXTEN online. Cmon😅😅😅

32? There isn't so many cars in the same category 😂😂😂😂

The weirdest thing about sound is the key notes so many cars are missing like my p1 gtr to tell you the true I don't drive the gtr that much cause I just cant stand its missing the key hiss sound to it.
Are you on about the hiss sound when letting off the throttle?

After not one year after release, i‘m bored of GT7.

It begins with the every time same menu music, over the every week same type online races and the less new parts in the game.

It sucks.

if they want to support it over the next years, they have to bring fresh air into the game.

when you look at for example forza horizon, you have a feeling with every monthly update, there comes a bit fresh air into the game.
Because of the themed updates.
But GT7 absolutly not.

Why are we talking about Forza Motorsport on a Gran Turismo forum ?

Because there were relevant crossover points worth talking about? What did your post contribute?

I have to confess I've hit this point as well. I go on, look at the LCD, nothing new, might do the daily miles but probably won't and then play something else. Its a shame, and it hurts as a long time Gran Turismo fan. I am truly hoping they do something relatively big soon to reinvigorate the single player experience which for me currently, is dead.

Same here. Log on, check the LCD, check the UCD, hit the daily mileage, get 5000cr from a ticket, log off.
