I can't really see anything in front when I use chase view on the Alphard. What I did was decrease the suspension ride height on the front to 110 and I increased it on the rear to 220 on the racing suspension and I put the camera to near. I can see mostly now but still, I wish it was done differently.

Edit reason: I forgot to talk about how I tuned the front height. It's practically a huge rake.

Ride heights and rake angles now have a strong effect on drag, you might have a better view but you have given up a fair bit of your top speed in doing so.

True, I went for windshield/rooftop view. quick edit: I lowered the back down as well.

I'm wondering if PD neglected fine tuning the AI with the new physics and tire wear adjustments.

A nice test is the WTC800 race at Tokyo Expressway. There was about five caution flags, all at the final hairpin turn before the straight, and all of them were different drivers.

Even with the water meter at around the lower 25 percent, the AI still treats it as if they were about to pit next lap.

Went off here at Sarthe, because on slicks on a bit damp but rapid drying track. Couldn't do anything to keep the car on track at that point. all grip lost and I was going in cautiously. No problem, since I had a huge lead, but then I got slapped with this....
The PD race stewards are absolute morons.

EDIT: what scares me most of this penalty is that there's a minutes digit on the penalty screen. 22,5 seconds is harsh enough already, but that minutes digit suggests they can dish out lots more? 😂

The AI seems improved to me, had a very close clean race with a 2nd placed GT3 09' for some turns at Porsche cup Kyoto, usually they would brake very early everywhere and it would have disappeared, and no one tried to take me out in close turns.

In regards to the Le Mans 30 minute race, some bots even after a few laps of rain are not switching to wets, on a race yesterday I started to lap bots at lap 5, one slid into the other then bounced back into my path taking me out, after checking the replay one was on RH and the other one on RS, the rain had started on lap to lap 2, I'm sure the new physics playing some role in the bot handling, but the script managing when they are to pit seems to be flawed.

I was going to say the same thing, ai seem to bump me less and the braking/cornering seems to be a bit smoother..
Its hard to put a finger on it but ive had some good races with them since the update. The sardegna 800, i had an ai car divebomb me up the inside and i was surprised.
They're definitely taking some corners a bit quicker.

Im kinda surprised you're the first person to mention it.

When, one VGT car must back to GT7?
Name: Fittipaldi.....
Was GT Sport!

They became more dumb for me. Brake tests midcorner, swerving lots, going back to the raceline, while you are on it and halfway passed them already.
During rain they are even dumber. Either not changing to IM or full wets, or do so and stay behind another AI who didn't. Moving aside under blue flags is alien to them. They are dreadful.

Had a "Homer Moment" yesterday after studying your picture & noticed the weather map said 50 miles.........I didn't know you could alter that, i been running at 5 miles for ages, .....didn't i read the manual ?.......course not I'm a bloke !

Have noticed similar incidents lately. Utter carnage in pileups. The driving also seems more random when bots speed and constantly overshoot while others crawl along the track.

One instance, at the end of Mulsanne straight's last section I got punted into the shadow realm by an NPC sliding into me with some 250kph. Replay also showed racing tyres after pitting during the rain on some cars in said race.

From what I can tell Update 1.31 broke something about the bots pit strategy, after it starts raining they will go to the pits, but put the same tires on that they had before, so there will usually stay on the race tires in the rain. In the one of the races one of the bots started on IM (strange) and continued on. This is making the races real easy, they just become a slow moving train around the track.

They did that pre 1.31 too. Nothing to do with the new physics patch.
For many races there, I started thinking Portilla doesn't have IM's, since he never put them on in the rain even after limping to his pitbox in torrential rain.
Rain is your friend in this game. The AI will act really stupid and slow down to snail pace. Has always been the case.

You know what? I entered my tuned 997 into the latest round of the Porsche Cup at Kyoto Driving Park, and it’s real fun to experince the driving when you’ve got maximum ballast that’s all the way to the front to get a more balanced weight distribution.

On another note, I'd love to not only see Apricot Hill return, but maybe there could be a future mission featuring an endurance race there, with the other Mazda Roadsters that aren't the Touring Car. But I'd really only like to see that after the NB and NC get added. Especially since we've already had a Roadster TC endurance at Tsukuba.

I also don't wanna see a dedicated Gr.2 event until after we also get the DTM racers from Aston Martin, BMW, and Mercedes-AMG - and that's at the minimum. Not to mention other likely Gr.2 cars that could come, like some of the newer Super GT500 cars, or a couple more GT1 racers from the late 90s, such as the Nissan R390 racecar.

EDIT: I really do wonder when we'll get more missions, especially when the last drag mission - where you're given 1000kms - implies it's only the first of a series. Hopefully we'll see another set added towards the end of this month.

looks like Fuji
Yeah, it is, I'd looked at the end (start) of the straight and seen it as a final corner coming in from the right (a left hander), but it's just the run off. Didn't match Sugo or Motegi either so I thought it was perhaps something all new.
