Anyone have any recommendations on fun things to do in the game while grinding? I have a really hard time getting myself to sit down and commit to the big three grind races, and looking at the other events available leaves me underwhelmed.

I'd like to be able to sit down and enjoy the driving experience for a bit while still getting credits towards the big value cars... Alfa 8C in particular.
Play a mix of stuff. Do 1 grind race per day or something, and combine it with the other things you can do: cafe menus, license tests, mission races and circuit experience.
Also: use your grind races to test a variety of cars. So I use Le Mans to try out all Gr4 cars, Sardegna and Spa for Gr2 and Gr3.
In short: make sure you have enough variation. If you get sick of the grind, just do other stuff you enjoy. It's a game, it's supposed to be fun even if PD didn't really design it well for that

Also helps to mix in some of the other high paying races. Gr.1 at Road Atlanta and revisiting the older Gr.3 & Gr.4 races at Dragon Trail, Autopolis, Daytona, etc.

I like to choose one of the lower priced cars and do the various races it qualifies for to pay to build it up, then once it's tuned how I want it I'll redo one of the championships to make some alright credits with it. It's not the fastest way to make money in the game, but I find it fun and satisfying.

The other thing I like to do is start off by doing the Tokyo 600 race with a safe grind car, then spend the rest of the time I'm playing doing more fun things.

From the time they created the Le Mans 700pp race until August last year, I probably tuned 40 cars for that race. You can usually tell within the first twenty seconds if it’s going to work or not. I felt like that was the easiest way to avoid burnout - but truthfully I was just treading water until the last of the legendary cars I wanted showed up. Once everything I was interested had shown up, I took about a four month break. Various updates broke a lot of those tunes, unfortunately.

That said, I would consider what your goals are here, from a “time spent” perspective. You’re really going to have to make your own fun to find use for most of the legendary cars. I don’t regret for one second buying the Barker, but I am really glad I didnt grind to “bank” money for later. When I was grinding last spring, I figured there would be a lot of online races / lobbies to use funky cars in. that hasn’t really happened - only a couple sport mode custom tuning races the whole time. I’ve had some fun in lobbies the last month with weight/power/tire limits as opposed to PP… but there are apparently not many people in playing the game that way.

What a sad state of affairs the experience with purchasing this developers product has been at least as far as a racing game goes anyway which is what is most embarrassing as this is the games main focus of design, not to mention a general and significant long line of poor management examples, don’t get me wrong game looks great, great graphics and ingame resolution, definitely a decent custom creative livery design platform within the game aswell and intriguing in anycase, nonetheless limited on variety of options to play(as in races) and that on its own seriously diminishes the “horizon” of enjoyment and possibilities, subsequently the game seems to burn itself out of being a stimulating experience,i find it odd to experience more enjoyment racing in codemasters F1 2017 or dirt rally 2.0,gt7 seems to pale in comparison in the aspects of customization for user play style and other aspects of that nature, anyhow just my opinion and on a side note when you do something in life try and do it rite, not just paint or shine something up and leave something in a state of poor performance or in other words don’t polyphony it up.lol

Does anybody know please what is actually taking up storage space in the "other" tab? I thought it was other people's items I'd saved to my collection but I have a total of 14 liveries and 40 decals saved by others so no way that's taking 25% space. Asking for a friend who has his value at 89% with no discernible reason.

That is a good question, at least one of my account is also showing 80-90% Storage used for others.

From memory, this could be replays and photos saved on another account. I seem to remember the percentage of "other" while viewing this on my main account decreased once I had gone to my alternative account to delete a bunch of replays there. Give that a try.

Interesting but I've never played GT7 on another account. My PS5 only has one account on it. 🤔

99.9% sure this update made the AI in Arcade races harder/faster. Maybe even smarter.

Hope it´s intentional even though it´s undocumented.

AI that actually drives full throttle is fuuuuuuuun.

EDIT: I´m now 100% sure. Good stuff.

Wut? Seriously?

AI throttle is still the same.
Unfortunatel, AI are still not at full throttle on road courses. The full throttle is only programmed for the starts. Maybe we’ll get it on day.

Full throttle as usual on SSRX. Custom Race

Custom Race

Arcade Mode

Nope. Just try it for yourself.

They are faster though. Without a shadow of a doubt.
Just done the Lemans 700pp 30min race, Sardegna 800pp and the Spa 800pp 1hr.
The AI have not changed at all, they are not faster than before and still set similar lap times to before the 1.33 "update"

These are not arcade races.
