So I’m starting to get shoulder pain after racing, I’m wondering if any of you have had that issue and did you resolve it.

I’ve tried tweaking the ergonomics such as adjusting the chair recline, moving the wheel closer or farther or up and down, l but I’m not sure if any of those changes helped the issue. Ideas?
Depending on how you long or short you play, you make have to Take breaks and move around more.
A video about muscle tissue and lack of movement.
Gil Hadley: The Fuzz speech.
You can skip to 2:10.

I regularly lift weights and make sure to never slack on shoulder day and my left shoulder would hurt after just a few minutes. And my wheel settings are set to a pretty light resistance.

I think it was the left arm strap of my Playseat Challenge. It was pretty low. I adjusted it and it got much better but not perfect. It takes longer to get sore now. I'm going to try stretching before I play, too. Maybe try raising your left arm rest or installing one if you don't have one.

Thanks, I also work out so I don’t think fitness is the issue.

I think I may have figured it out, the wheel was too far away and also I had it sort of angled down instead of toward my upper body

I didn't really consider tilting the wheel. Good call, I'll try that out next time.

Hi! Any ressource where i can see the max. or recommended PP and tire restrictions for GT7 races and championships?

On GT7s wiki fandom site i find the events with restrictions but without the PP (and it seems without the possible tire compounds).

Yup! In the Events CSV for my randomizer:

It has all the data you should need for all the events.

Hope that helps!

I’m thinking of switching my 28cm Thrustmaster wheel to a 30cm competition wheel because it seems like it would be more ergonomic. Anyone here have experience with both sizes, and if so what are your thoughts?

I don’t watch the events to know bout such rivalries, but really?… it‘s like that?
Muhammed Ali and Joe Frazier, the Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics, Liverpool and Manchester United, and in the world of motorsports, there have been too many to count. Every golden age of sports has been defined by its rivalries, and the Gran Turismo World Series (GTWS) has produced its fair share of them.

Feel like this is a very cringe way to play up and overhype the upcoming event. I don't tend to use that word alot but to have THOSE actual rivalries to somehow describe the world tour events is just facepalm worthy. Maybe I'm looking into this the wrong way, but it just screams desperation and trying to grab mainstream attention when it isn't even necessary.

Hmm, yeah, this would only make sense if this was going to be like the 6th time that Fraga was racing against Hizal. Back then, people were calling it a rivalry in the making. But they haven't raced each other since 2019, so...

Yep, seems desperate, alright. =/

Do we have current 2023 numbers how popular the online and e-sports part of if the game is?

Maybe games sold vs. sports players vs. e-sports followers?

I only heard one or two years ago that only 13 % of GT Sport or 7 players ever did an online race (more than 1/3, i think nearly half, of PlayStation owners have a PS+ subscription) and that some kind of e-sports final attracted a mere 4.000 viewers on YouTube.

For what's it worth, the article does contain a photo of the three-way title collision:

For the player count all we have is estimates.

Based on the 6 million sales figure for the game:

38% have the trophy for one Sport race - 2.28 million
14% have the 50 race trophy, so that's the regular players and trophy hunters - 840,000
Ave entrants for the online TTs - 120,000

The number of regular online players is likely somewhere between those last 2 numbers. No idea how that compares to other games.

Would anybody have or know any information about these ‘supposedly’ scanned cars?

I came across this video (listed below) where this list was sent to the video author a short time before the RS 5 DTM was added. I hope these are true!

A bunch of nonsense.

Anyone could easily write a random list of cars and say they were scanned, and this community is so desperate for news that they'll always fall for it.

EXACTLY!!!

Desperate for news because the game we love is run by someone stuck in 1994 or something. The lack of transparency and simple communication is mind boggling at best.

People making stuff up has nothing to do with the poor communication from Kaz/PD, it would happen anyway.

I do agree, the comunication is poor though, but I don't agree that they're stuck in 1994, or the past at all. I personally, don't like GT7 as far as the single player career experience goes, but surely if Kaz were stuck in the 90's we'd be getting something very much like GT1.

I wouldn't mind a game structured like GT1 but with more, cars, tracks, events, customisation etc. But for better or worse (depending on your perspective), he has changed it.

I saw that one. It's apparently a compiled excerpt rather than a full list, which is why it only contains racing models.

There's some parts in that list that would make sense if it is true, such as the Mazda DPi being the only one of its kind since they're the only factory brand that didn't carry over to GTP (Nissan/Nismo was a customer project).
Also the focus on Toyota & Porsche models with unique machines like the Corolla BTCC, Yaris WRC & the Porsche Cup car is very Polyphony.
And since we know Albert Park was found as a scapes location (same as how Circuit Gilles Villeneuve was first found), that could be a good pairing in an update with the Australian Supercars.

Even if this is legit though, like he says in the video, scans don't 100% confirm that things will be coming to the game at all, let alone us having a timescale.

A modernized Gran Turismo 1 would be a big hit

We also have Daily Race qualification numbers. Looking into these a bit, I was wrong last week when I guessed C was the most popular; Daily B has been the most popular each of the last 4 weeks, with 50-59k times set in all 4 Daily Bs I found. Race C generally had 40-45k times set, except for Le Mans last week which only had 34,100 (with the caveat that it was Gr.1, a difficult group, on a long track which usually deflates numbers).

I also found one set of dailies from January that had 64k for Daily B, 37k for Daily C (also at Le Mans, it was the week it was Gr.4 without the chicane). So with an admittedly small dataset, numbers seem to be steady across 2023, like with Time Trial participation. So the game seems to be retaining players pretty well despite growing older.
