At least they are consistent in denying the reality that rain exists in the Americas

With how hot it is right now down here, sure doesn't feel like it exists.
and here I am in Florida's panhandle dealing with Thunderstorms weeks on end, on and off again.

I most likely just don't remember this Scape in game, but is it actually there? And doesn't it kinda looks like Pikes Peak?

That's Scotts Peak Dam Road in Tasmania, Australia, a scape already in the game:

PD have their response to the Toyota Cup matchmaking thing up: https://www.gran-turismo.com/gb/gt7/news/00_5703853.html

This is a noteworthy read even if you aren't in that championship because it's an instance of PD actually being communicative, taking feedback onboard and saying they'll improve something! Hopefully this is something that continues going forward.
TsuTsu response (he being the one who reported it):

I never understood why PD doesn't use the community created resources like how in GT Sport kudosprime.com had players exact DR and SR numbers instead of just a bar. I wouldn't think it needs much time or resources to implement what fans already created. This is also true for showing country specific rankings for "Daily" races like what is available on https://gt7.gtsh-rank.com and I think there are a few websites that have better search functionality for the Discovery section as well.
Implementation of what the community made seems like a win win. Less work for PD and more information for players.

One year has passed since this article surfaced. Has things changed for the better?

Of note that only Porsche USA (Porsche Esports Challenge USA) and Toyota Southeast Asia (Toyota Gazoo Racing GT Cup Asia and its related regional qualifiers) events currently give prize money, if at all. (No idea if Toyota's Middle Eastern branch equivalent, MENA Esports Cup, did.)

Am I the only one bothered by the fact that the entire GT series has still never featured an E36 M3? And I can't figure out why. It's by far the most common and popular M car across the globe.
100%. We deserve the e36 M3 in GT7. Imagine the amount of passionate e36 m3 owners who would all of a sudden be playing GT7 due to their cars being available to learn to drive on all tracks…

It is outrageous that the team that makes GT7 outright ignores the e36 m3. Especially since there are so many passionate owners that drive and track their cars. Give us our e36 M3.

Why no european event's. Where there any in the past?
What are you talking about?

What are you talking about?
Oh, i was thinking that people where talking about the online special events. Like there are sometimes events only for Japan or only for America but i never heard about an european one.

Members that don’t like Goodwood Hill Climb and duplicate R32s can block me now.

We needs the Hillclimb. Since Time Trials are a thing in Gran Turismo 7, it’s indeed a no-brained to have this stretch of tarmac. No doubt any track in the game can be run as a TT. However, having such a short measure, an official measure, to compare times, makes it special. Especially with the tools we have in this current GT game.

...I think they were, actually. Seems I was the one who misunderstood.

But yeah, on that note, I would like to see a European online event at some point. Although hopefully using more road cars than race cars.

I was watching the highlight video from this year on YT last night. This, Goodwood Hill Climb would be a great addition. The range of cars setting a time would cover just about every car in the game.

The amount of races added in World Circuits each update has been a common concern (and don't get me started that we haven't had any new Bonus Books between 1.25 and 1.32 and no further ones since then). Since people tend to hark back to GT Sport's GT League, here's a statistic of number of races added to GT Sport's GT League each update:
1690109664236.png

  • The average number of races added is 9 per update.
  • Typically, an update would have three new series consisting of three races each, two new races to existing non-Endurance League series, and one new Endurance League event - whether it's a new endurance series or existing one. (By 2019, less new series were added.)
  • An overall of 47 new GT League races were added throughout GT Sport's update life - GT League began with 254 races at launch and ended with 301 races.
EDIT: February 2019 in the month axis (both the first and SF19 updates) should be March 2019.

Thank you for the data. That's 47 at launch, 254 added, right?

Early last year I was expecting this much support for GT7, who could've foreseen that even 500 days after launch there'd be nowhere near 301 events to play? Combine the car and track lists and they practically invent themselves.
  • European Gr.3 Championship (Lago|Nurb|Seaside|Cata|DF etc) shorter, easy and longer, hard versions a la GT3
  • GT500 '08/'16 (Suzuka|Fuji|Autopolis|HSR|Kyoto etc)
  • Trial Mountain 2 Hours (production cars)
  • Nürburgring 4 Hours (We have Type-V, let's go!)
  • One-make events for each VGT car, Medal Time Trials for the ultrafast ones
  • Dozens of other one-makes for cars with few uses, such as the Renault 8 Gordini
  • Laguna Seca 200 Miles
  • Petit Le Mans (both 10 hours and a Très Petit 100 minutes), plus Watkins and Daytona and that's 3/4 of the IMSA Endurance Cup
  • Bathurst events, long and short, for road cars, GT3, Caymans and Trucks.
  • Several whole games have been based entirely on Ferraris. We have Ferraris.
  • WRX vs Evo. Any place, no, every place!
  • 500 laps of Northern Isle, let's get nuts.
  • 100 laps of BMB Infield B
  • 86 laps of BB in Toyota 86s (I've done it, it can be fun)
  • Tokyo Exp. Central Prius race
  • Tokyo Exp. South endurance in the style of Special Stage Route 5 All-Night, with a sunrise at the end?
  • Is that event creator job still open? Hey event creator, here's free inspiration ^

So I’m starting to get shoulder pain after racing, I’m wondering if any of you have had that issue and did you resolve it.

I’ve tried tweaking the ergonomics such as adjusting the chair recline, moving the wheel closer or farther or up and down, l but I’m not sure if any of those changes helped the issue. Ideas?

As a fellow German, the only thing I'm seeing is a complete mess of a mock up of a German number plate.

There is no additional letter where the numbers are. :dopey:
Same with the UK plates in the Corrado chase - but this is a common thing in films and TV shows and in fact they are entirely real plates despite not meeting the legal format.

They're known as "Ghost Plates" and they're assigned by our car licensing body (DVLA) to cars that have no UK identity but which are required for filming on the public road.
