Anyone who's participated in the Gazoo Cup gets a free Corolla on the 28th of August, and it'll be purchasable in Brand Central from the end of September.

Seems like it's officially being added in the August update, so that frees up a slot for July's cars.

I wasn't expecting to get the Morizo edition after the news article last month. Cool surprise. The stripped interior should be fun to look at in VR.

That to me reads like it's the same deal as the Ferrari VGT, so

• if you get it as a prize from competing, you get it on the 28th of August
• otherwise, it'll be in the September update (and September silhouettes, all the other cars we knew in advance like the GR010 and the Super Formulas still were)

The end of August date is just the day after the last TGR Cup round, nothing to do with update dates.

This also is probably more of a TGR Cup specific thing than a full on content update sign. The day before that Monday is round 6, there's probably something special they need to do server-side to make the new car usable only in free practice mode for round 7.

Basically nearly all the premium gt5 and gt6 cars could be ported to gt7 without major issues, with some 3d touchings of course.
The car number would be increased quite a bit with this way.

That's why it's so frustating with PD, plenty of cars unused for the precedent game, and same for tracks, I know it's the licensing issue, but Ascari resort, Cape Ring,Chamonix, Sierra, Rome,Eiger, Silverstone, we have apotentally major game.

GT5 Rome Circuit is my favourite Gran Turismo street circuit! It's a shame that making street/city circuits is so difficult now with the level that graphics have reached. Hope Polyphony still manage to find a way to add some in the future, that aren't just highway circuits like the Tokyo Expressway.

They could release the Hillclimb, but every time they nearly finish updating it, there's a new, more bonkers central feature.

Don't worry about it, PD, just give us the 2014 version, nobody will mind.

Something that probably of minor attention: The GT6-era Pit Stop blog is back online since around last month (it only displayed a critical WordPress error message since late 2022). According to Wayback Machine's captures, this lasted roughly from October 2022 until April 2023 - the first working capture is from June 6, 2023.

I found this out the same day GT's Twitter account posted about the GR GT Cup matching issue (albeit that using the same text as on the GT website).

Watched it and am glad its not in GT7. It looks like fun if you’re actually there for this event. Also Very un exciting hillclimb track…and racing it in gt5 was underwhelming
